We spent 1 night here and had a great experience. Arrived after a long day travelling to be warmly welcomed by the staff. Lovely spacious clean room, with large wrap around balcony. Had some lovely food at the restaurant at night the best devilled fish we had on the island. We awoke to a beautiful sunrise with spectacular views. Thanks to Dana for his special welcome. 4 happy friends from Scotland

Staff very friendly. Good breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the food so would recommend half board. Room is spacious but not very clean as sheets were marked and very tired looking.

This was a wonderful experience. The position is stupendous and equally so the view from our bedroom. It was spotlessly clean and very professional friendly staff. The sunrise was just breathtaking from the balcony. We were thankful to be far from the bustle of Ella but close enough to take a stroll down.

The room was comfortable, rather clean, nice view, no fridge in the room. Sometimes there was no hot water. Bathroom with space but without shower cabin (open shower). Breakfast was good contains: fruits, toasts, jam, butter and eggs. Coffee, tea.

we came here just to use the pool, it was around 2000rs for 2 hours, the views were absolutely stunning! there are monkeys near though so bear that in mind!

Great location - walking distance to the trail that leads to the nine arch bridge and also to the town shops. Serves a very generous breakfast, it was a bit too much food for me and I wish I had the option to reduce the serving portion. Would recommend for a basic stay that’s affordable :)

We had the Sri Lankan spear here and the food was excellent. Better…far better than what we see in regular menu. The service provided by sushantha and his team was great. The main challenge is the entry road. Each time you have to spend LKR 500 while entering/coming out of the hotel. Staffs behavior was great, stunning view (if sky is clear). The hotel is located on the rock side, and cars cannot access the property directly. However, the hotel provides a tuk-tuk service for transfers between the main road and the accommodation. A small but very clean B&B with a scenic view of Ella Rock and funky restaurant interiors plus yummy breakfast. Arranged a pedestal fan for me instantly when I requested. Roads outside are not good but I think that would be an issue for most B&Bs in the location plus they have a shortcut leading to the main road.

Our first accomodation cancelled on us very last minute. This hotel let us check in at 11:30pm with 30minutes notice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was also so delicious. Thank you for a great stay.

This is a very nice place to stay for a couple of days. The rooms is alright. But you have only a blanket to sleep with, and i dont think is has been washed from previous visits. The pressure in the shower is really bad, but you are able to rinse off a little bit. Personel staff is very nice. The breakfest is not very exiting but you get some food inn the belly. 3minuttes to walk to town.

Nice place to stay at, comfy beds and great staff. We were given a map at the check in and we were told some amazing itineraries that we followed and enjoyed. Also, after check out they didn't have any problems keeping our backpacks while we were exploring the area a bit further.

The best place I've been in Sri Lanka! It's so beautiful! Feels very luxury. They could charge more for the foods but they kept it same as the downtown, so we were happy to order anything we liked. I only wish they had warm water at the pool. It's always very cold. I'll definitely visit them if I'm back to Ella.

This hotel has the best viewpoint in Sri Lanka. The view is breathtaking and stays with you when you leave. Each room and the main lobby area have the incredible view. The food was good. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms and rooms need modernising.

It was really nice. The room were clean, there was a space for social activities and the host was very nice. Breakefasts were delicious and we even got a ride to the train station. There is also very nice restaurant just around the corner.

Had an amazing weekend at The Secret Ella. Friendly staff made our stay so wonderful and meal options and food was another level. Very affordable prices and totally worth it. Our stay at Forest Paradise was the most welcoming of my entire 2 month stay in Sri Lanka. Nelly was lovely, the breakfast was fantastic, and everybody made us feel so welcome that we stayed for 5 days out of our initial 2 night booking. This is a super little hotel in a romantic location. The host is professional and accommodating and has provided us the best bed we had on our trip. Don't be put off by being a short distance from town because you don't need to go there for long either by Tuk Tuk or better still walk along the train line. Such a great experience.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. This was evident up until the last moment when the staff met us outside our villa at 5:45am to assist with getting our luggage into our transport. Located away from the 'main *****', but good for the walk to Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adams' Peak. To get to the entrance, there's a very steep slope up. My room was on the 2nd storey (via external steps), and looks out over trees. The room had 2 double beds, both with mossie nets (not needed, as it was quite cold). The bed was relatively comfortable. There is no mosquito net on the small bed. There are mosquitoes. If you put a mosquito net on the big bed, it will be fine. The bath water is not hot. Apart from that, the price is still very good, the breakfast is also pretty good, and it's in the center of the town.

Possibly the noisiesy hotel we've stayed at.We were able to park our tuk tuk in the parking garage and all downtown restaurants and shops were within walking distance.A few minute walk to the nine arch bridge trail. When our tuk tuk wouldn't strat after sitting a couple days a staff member came down to the garage and was able to get it started. Would stay again.Staff and location were great.

The owner and manager talk a lot!! Place is up hill and you wake up surrounded by nature. Tea, coffee and breakfast are really good. Paid extra at hotel and they they would adjust the price on trip.they could add an actual small blanket on the bed , I was cold throughout the night cos it was only bedsheets.

The place is a long ride up the mountain on a narrow winding road… (and unfortunately the local PickMe App has no use in Ella!) The food service was good but a bit pricey for the area of Sri Lanka. The location is a bit tricky, but the owner is friendly and it's hard to find a place this price in Ella... I recommend it if you're traveling alone. It seems like there are groups of people too, though... I had a great stay for one night. (The food prices are a bit steep though) Important: No cockroaches or pests

It was a great stay, people are supposed friendly, location is far from centre but if you like nature and peace, you would love it. What you need? They will provide immediately, ironing, mony change, taxi, food, any servis … Highly recommended

This basic hotel is really charming, just 2o Min walking from the train station and right on a nice hill which gives you a nice view over the Town and jungles. room was small but clean and comfortable. be sure the tab has water, some time it stops working. generally is recommended

Very nice hotel with a beautiful view on the jungle. The rooms were really comfy, the people were kind and friendly. We have saw some monkeys early on the morning which came really close to our balcony, it was an amazing experience ! And bonus point : the breakfast was delicious. We really enjoy our stay there.
