Friendly place in Ella We just stayed for 1 night. We enjoyed it. The room was spacious and we slept very well. The manager was friendly and helpful and we liked the breakfast with a lot of fruits. 100 meters downhill from the hotel was the main street with shops and restaurants. The famous Chill Out Cafe restaurant was very close. We want to recommend the hotel.

Sanju was lovely and accomodating our whole stay ensuring we had what we needed. The room was nice and clean with good hot water and air conditioning. The breakfast was also good and diverse. Beautiful quiet hotel in the middle of nature, breakfast is served outside with a splendid view of the mountains. The service is excellent. The rooms are spacious. On the other hand, the Wifi works very badly. The waiters are smiling and efficient.

There is a steep slope up to the Den. It is clean enough especially the bathroom is well clean. Have mountain view and can lie down on the bench at the balcony. No AC but it has AC weather in the valley. Just need to get use to the bed with mosquito net.

I hesitated if I should give a four or five stars to this place. The cabana and rooms are really very nice and spacious and the view over the waterfall is priceless. It is true that reaching the place is tricky especially if you don’t know the country, area and their tradition. A stay in the jungle This place is magical! Truly a stay in the jungle. There’s no road to the cabin so the last part you have to walk on the railway. Such a lovely place with an amazing view in the middle of the jungle - so special! We stayed in the top room. It can get a bit noisy at night when monkeys and other animals do their thing on the roof. Also the train is passing by right infront of the house, but only in the morning (not at night). So if you are a light sleeper you should bring some earplugs ;)

I think the location of the hotel is very good. The owner is very very nice and a warm man who wants everything to work out. The view from the rooms is really nice and you can even see the sunrise from your bed :) The price-performance ratio is good and the rooms are quite OK. I think they could do a bit more with breakfast :) fresh tea and coffee would be a good start.

The only good thing is the View from the hotel and the pool. The room quility and the cleaningness is very poor. It says breakfast buffet but there were no such a thing at the moment. And the main thing is they are not accepting credit or debit cards. When you gona ask they will say the machine is broken so you have to pay by cash.

'The View' lives up to it's name. There is a great view of Ella Gap, Ella Rock and Small Adam's Peak. Our room had a large terrace balcony where you can enjoy breakfast while admiring the view.

Excellent hotel! For under 20USD (3250SLR) You can have a very clean hotel experience in Ella which is generally an expensive city by Sri Lankan standards. Great location by Ella train station. We were getting the 6.40am train the next morning (to Hatton for Adam’s peak) so staying here suited us perfectly. Lovely garden area and table. In the evening it was raining a lot but felt very cosy. We ordered food from the host who bought us lovely dinner.

The location and the view is great, but the room itself is not perfect. No hairdryer at all. The cleaness level is only OK. The water pressure is very weak, hot water is not stable. Need to put down the shower 🚿 to get hot water, it means have to kneel down to shower. The price of accommodation is very cheap, therefore, if you’re fine with the disadvantages above, it’s still OK to stay for 1 night

A classic little family run guesthouse with a nice garden and sitting area. All rooms have a patio with own table and chairs and a sliding glass front. You have a beautiful look over the mountains and the sun rises directly in front of your room. Rooms are clean, nothing fancy. Conveniently located across the train station. Already mentioned in numerous reviews : the road to come to Okreech is steep. If you have difficulties with walking, then Okreech cottages is not meant for you.

The location of the bungalow hotel is perfect. Close to the main road, but away from the noise. The bungalows are beautiful and have a huge and spectacular garden. You can exchange money at the supermarket just 100 meters away. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
