Peacock Wings Guest House in Mirissa

It is very close to the sea, rooms are clean and people are friendly. Probably there is a bit noisy because it is near the Matara Road, but the location is really good. It is very easy to catch a bus there in case if you don't want to take a tuk-tuk and go to other closest cities. The breakfast is really good. But if you don't want to eat local breakfast there are many restaurants, where u can eat whatever you like.

Lovely people who are quick to arrange anything you need during your trip. Rooms are spacious and clean, we stayed in one of the new top rooms which had a balcony with a view to the sea.
The owners arranged us a discounted trip on the whale watching boat, where we saw huge blue whales. They also arranged a cheap price for a well maintained scooter for us to use to explore the area.
The Sri Lankan breakfast is simple but delicious, this was an extra for us but you can include breakfast in your booking.

Good location. It is in beach road and plenty of options to eat outside. Everything is in walkable distance. We had sea view room which gave a beautiful start to the day in early morning. The only thing that troubled me was there was no elevator hence I had to take the luggage through stairs to 2nd floor. The owner helped me as well to carry the luggage. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay as it provides a good atmosphere. They have a kitchen for your self cooking where you can prepare your own food.

Overall the experience was superb. Will surely visit again.

Very nice place. Confortable, clean rooms. Beautiful garden, nice view to the ocean from upstairs. We could enjoying our breakfast and see the ocean at the same time. The host is very kind she helped us in everything. Nearly all interesting places of Mirissa are nearby.

Great location. A few meters away from the street. Decent size room , big bathroom. NO bed sheet to cover yourself with; only blanket. Very welcoming host. The kitchen on rooftop was great for the view but very filthy sink. Of course certain people do not clean after themselves. I recommend the maid cleans everyday. Overall great stay

I had room at 2nd floor - it is a bit expensive than 1st floor but at the same time more nice. Room was clean and light, with fan and airc. Balcony with good view. At the rooftop places kitchen with fantastic view to ocean and coconat tree hill. Kitchen has staff for cooking. Guest location is also incredible - just cross the main road and your are in the beach. But probably this guest is not much suitable for those who expect calm and silent. Owner Ishara polite and friendly person. She can solve a lot of your needs - rent bike, fix smth in the room, laundry. So not hesitate to ask her firstly if you need something. Believe to return back and rent this place again.

I have stayed 2 months at this beautiful place! It‘s so clean, hot water and even a rooftop kitchen with an amazing view. The owners are very friendly and always here to help. The area is quiet and only 200m from the beach. I highly recommend to stay here.

We had an amazing stay at Peacock Wings. It is located facing Galle-Matara main road. 1 minute walk to famous tourist attraction coconut tree hills and you can have a relaxed time at the beautiful beach and walk back.Room was very clean , comfy and cozy. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. You can enjoy your food with a beautiful sea view on the rooftop. They offer variety of other services as well. Highly recommended and definitely will be back again!

I spent two months here. Nice place with a very friendly owner. The rooms are very nice and bright. The location is convenient for people without a scooter. There is a bus station next to the house. On the other hand, the road is very noisy. Very nice rooftop with kitchen and ocean view. The kitchen is open, so you can often meet monkeys there. Each place has its pros and cons. Overall, I enjoyed living here.
