Sera Villa in Galle

I had a very unpleasant experience with this hotel regarding a Booking.com reservation.
After booking, a lady from the hotel called and said we had reserved a non-AC room and asked if we wanted to upgrade. The price she mentioned over the phone did not match what was shown on our Booking.com confirmation, so I told her I would check and call back.
When I called again to reconfirm the rate, she responded rudely, said she didn’t know the price, and abruptly cut the call. After that, the number was unreachable.
I later found another contact number online. A gentleman answered and said he would check and call back. When he did, he explained that the earlier quoted price was per room in USD, but there was actually no room category listed at that price. The final amount he mentioned happened to match our booking, which made the situation even more confusing.
When we questioned why the earlier call was cut, the same lady came on the line again, denied that a second call ever happened, became aggressive, and told us to cancel the booking, saying they had enough other customers.
Very poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and zero accountability. I would advise future guests to be cautious and reconfirm everything in writing before arrival.
