Had a wonderful stay at Arken Lanka Hotel, Galle. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. The location is convenient and makes it easy to explore Galle and nearby attractions. Rooms were spacious and tidy, and overall the stay felt great value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Galle!

I have stayed in a number of hotels in Sri Lanka. Sadly, I can say that without a doubt, THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO. You may ask why, and where should I start? The breakfast was included in my package. I was so excited for a warm, delicious breakfast. But no one offered us anything. I tried to call their numbers, but they were turned off. I messaged them on Booking.com and also on WhatsApp, but no one ever replied. I think anyone can understand my disappointment.
We paid around $15 per day, and got a teeny tiny room — barely enough space to even move. And the bathroom. The toilet was broken and there was no toilet paper. It was like a pile of garbage. I've never thought bathrooms could smell that bad. Total nightmare!!
The furniture in the room was so overused. It needs a total repair. My advice to you, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT VISITING THIS PLACE. YOU WILL REGRET. Finally, if you are the management of this place, please treat your guests with RESPECT!!!

Rooms are spacious and clean. It's good value for money. But keep in mind that the actual place is older than it looks like in the photos so it's a bit misleading. The actual design of the rooms and the furnishing is quite good considering the price. Also, there was supposed to be a TV in our room but only the TV mounting bracket existing which didn't really bother me but could be a deal breaker for some. Limited parking is available and slightly difficult to park in the provided space. Our room's AC was making a weird noise which was slightly annoying and the AC didn't feel powerful enough to cool the room properly even though it was enormous. But once it was running for some time it was okay. But for the price, I feel like this is pretty good.

I'm leaving this review to know that we were really disappointed with the experience we had at OYO 286 Arken Lanka Galle , I'll list out the negative experience we had the 2 days stay we had 1. We had water leaking inside the rooms and in the stairs 2. The Air Conditioner was not working for 2 rooms out of 7 rooms 3. Faced some hardship with the electric kettle and iron 4. The parking was hard for big vehicles

The host is very friendly and helpful. Our room had balcony with beautiful view to the city. Everything was clean and bright. Specifically, I enjoyed our breakfast which included omelet, jam butter toaster, fruits and tea. I’d strongly suggest you this place for stay in Galle.

Clean and new bathroom with rain shower.
For the best equipped room in this price category on Lanka.
Quiet and a bit out of center but 20min walk and you are at train station.
No one told me anything about breakfast.
When I did the checkout they asked me to pay service fee which wasn’t mentioned on booking.com.
When I showed them the price from booking.com they agreed to take away the service fee.
By not anouncing these fees you get bad recommendations because people feel cheated.
If this is not included in price let us now that.
If I come back to Galle I would stay here again.
