You will receive a very warm and friendly reception at this hotel. Our room was a good size with a fabulous view. The bathroom needs updating but otherwise the room was comfortable. The restaurant was very quiet and felt a bit awkward and the food was ok. Just beware not to go outside if the car park at night as my husband went out for some fresh air and was chased by an aggressive dog! I would stay here again.

Excellent service and a great pool for the kids "Our family loved our time here. The staff special shoutout to the front desk & Housekeeping ! were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The outdoor pool was the highlight of our afternoons—very well-maintained and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a nice mix of local Sri Lankan flavors and international options. A very solid choice for families visiting Kandy."

I am pleased to share that one of my groups from Italy stayed at Tourmaline Hotel for 2 nights on 3rd February. The staff and food service were excellent, and the guests were very satisfied with their stay.

We stayed at the Tourmaline Hotel as part of our 7-day tour. It is currently a safe and secure Level 1 hotel. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming to tourists. The restaurant offers à la carte dishes. There is a sufficient selection, and it is very tasty. Due to the corona pandemic, the hotel is currently almost unoccupied. From here, we visited the Temple of the Tooth Relic. This attraction is an approved tour of the site and attraction, which can also be visited during the first 14 days of your stay in Sri Lanka (the quarantine period) under the protection of a bio-bubble. A bio-bubble means that you are prohibited from interacting with locals. It was a wonderful time, despite the pandemic. We felt safe the entire time. Nice hotel on the top of hill. The room was very spacious and sufficiently clean. The view from the room was also nice. The staff was polite and welcoming. We had buffet breakfast and it was good in terms of variety and service, also tried dinner on one of the days and it was good too. They have a small pool, I wouldn't rate it too high, but not bad, as mentioned by other traveler, seems they rent it to school in the afternoon, we did see bus of children on one of the afternoons. Didn't matter to us as we had gone out anyway. Overall our experience was good.

This is branch of hotel Topaz, which is located on a bit higher elevation and is better than this one. The rooms are big enough and staff very cooperative and friendly. The food menu is good and from Topaz terrace one can have a good view of the sunrise.
