The Mud in Ban Bang Po

As the sky melted into a watercolor wash of peach and lavender, 2 sisters found Miss Thanyaporn at the ocean's edge, concocting a kind of alchemy. ✨️

Mixing tropical drinks that seemed to capture the hues of the horizon—a violet and golden, sky- capturing the magic of the hour. But the true moment of enchantment came with the champagne. As the last flash of sun dipped below the sea, the crisp, pop! of a cork! She poured the sparkles into our glasses, each flute a tiny constellation.

We left carrying the soft glow of the evening, wonderfully charmed by the quiet spell she’d cast over the night.

I love this room and the hotel very much! It’s such a blessing to be there. Room is spacious, nice seating, staffs are friendly and super helpful and food is super yummy! Also, the masseur is amazing! I had visited her twice on my 4 nights stay :)

The hotel is lovely. We arrived a little early and able to check into our room which was great.
Cocktails at pool bar were fantastic. A little way out of town but some nice restaurants within walking distance by beach or road. Rooms are nice but the mosquitoes are relentless. We bought bug spray and mosquito coils for the bathroom.

Breakfast was a big disappointment. Not many options and food was below par. Presentation was some sad salad. A little bit of construction noise from 730am on a nearby mud hut woke us up. A pleasant stay overall.

What a lovely place! They had everything we needed. Super unique rooms and pretty eco friendly as well! Wonderful staff also. The Thai massage was excellent! Located on the west side of the island, it was perfect to watch a stunning sunset.They even had a free painting activity that I got to take home. I would highly recommend. Things are a bit on the pricier side as far as Thailand goes, but still much more affordable than anything remotely similar in the US.

Absolutely loved it. Accommodation was wonderfully unique, clean and quirky. All the mod-cons with wonderful features like in-room coffee grinders, private deck hammocks and pool bar. We wish we had more time to enjoy the included activities like kayaking, cooking and painting. We had no trouble at all with the room servicing, or the front desk staff. We found them all very helpful and attentive.

Food at the restaurant was wonderful, and I’m a picky eater. The kitchen catered to my vegetarian diet without issue. Loved the Pad Thai (a dish I know well and am particularly picky about) and the curries were fantastic too. Had a wonderful time sampling the drinks menu and the live music every night was a complete treat.

Room rates were on par with the 3-star rating and the food|drink prices in line with many other restaurants. Prices we felt were totally fair - sure not street cart cheap but not overly steep either.

Only comment - the breakfast selection was limited and the restaurant service was, slow at times despite there being a large number of staff floating about. Particularly the breakfast service. That said holidays are all about slowing down, so it didn’t bother us at all!

We weren’t looking to party so were very happy to be offset from Chaweng and Lamai beach. The island is so small, we found getting around extremely easy. So we could drop in to visit places then return to our slice of paradise at The Mud.

I visited this place during my stay in Koh Samui and I can just say was great! I loved look of it, feels like one massive house on a tree. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. We were sitting outside and the evening was coming and with it mosquitoes as well, member of the staff have seen we are starting to itch and she brought us some mosquito spray that was very kind. We left the place with smiles on faces and full stomachs. Definitely recommended! 👌

Staff is super helpful and friendly. I loved the resort it's made so unique and comfortable. Every aspect of it was very beautiful. It's a must stay. The food was amazing, i enjoyed every meal and they have everything you wish for. If you're in Ko Samui, it's one of the recommended place to stay.

Very nice place, very clean and stylish. All details in hotel are creative and interesting. Unfortunately, at time we visited we can’t swim in the sea because of low water and stones and corals in it. But kids loved batik painting and kayaking.
