Hotel Gahn Khao Lak in Khao Lak

We stayed there 5 nights during our stay in Khao Lak.

Hôtel Gahn is a hidden gem, aside from the convenient location - walking distance to everything (market, muy Thai fight stadium, beaches, supermarket, 7/11, restaurants, laundry, pharmacy), the included breakfast was great; they make barista coffee and great omelettes. But the biggest highlight is the staff and excellent customer service. They were very attentive, kind and helpful.

The rooms are well furnished, beds super comfy and the pool is just perfect to relax and chill with a drink after a big day before going out for dinner.

This place is excellent. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It's a quaint small place on the main road, just a few minutes walk from Bang Niangh market, and loads of other amenities. Well worth a visit.

Hotel Gahn is easily the best hotel we stayed at in Thailand.
First of all, it’s incredibly stylish and modern — if you’re a fan of architecture or interior design, this place is a dream. It was designed by a local Phuket studio and you can really tell; every detail is a treat to the eye.

The staff are unbelievably smiley, helpful and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The food is delicious too, and their restaurant has held a Michelin star for five years in a row! Despite all of this, the hotel is very fairly priced — surprisingly great value for what you get.

The pool is spotless, the rooms are gorgeous, and the bed is honestly more comfortable than our bed at home (and absolutely huge!). You even get a TV with Netflix, so we ended up watching Physical: Asia throughout our stay. The massive bathtub is another highlight — you can even angle it toward the TV, which felt genuinely magical.

Breakfast was equally amazing, with the biggest variety of options and incredible espresso drinks — apple, lychee, orange, lots of matcha — everything was delicious.

Simply an amazing stay. Highly, highly recommended.

STAY HERE! My husband and I were so happy we found this hotel! The bed, the design, breakfast, everything was so well done, and the room was beyond comfortable. We also ate at the restaurant and were blown away by the flavor. Do not miss an opportunity to stay here!

We had a really special stay!! The design and food were a highlight. Met the owner who was graciously spoke to us about the food, hotel and her families history. After meeting her you could see and feel her personality in every inch of the building. Only a short walk to the beach but it feels a mile away from the more generic large resorts in the area. Worth a trip!

The hotel is amaizing. The rooms are pretty good, the only down side is that the windows are not fully closed, there is a gap between the doors to the balcony allowing some bugs to enter (we had a wasp as guest). The bed is perfect as well as the rest.

The rest of the hotel is very good, the location is good, not to far away from the main street and market.

We had dinner in this Michelin restaurant and it was amazing too. Please, order the coconut shrimp soup, you won’t regret it.

This hostel has the warmest welcome I've ever seen. Hostel's owner will look after you exclusively. The bath tub inside is so much big and fit to you and your couple easily. The food is great with traditional regional food here.

Enjoyed a great dinner of traditional Chinese/Thai cuisine. Friendly owner and staff. Good value. Toured the hotel rooms and would recommend.

A family-run boutique hotel with warm welcome. Better things are the decor, everywhere is very nice. Even a little detail is well selected and feeling senses of thai local antique. The food is also great too. Have both choices of minimal budget simple room and luxurious room with open bath tub beside the bed.
