Dirtiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Never left a review before but the amount of filth in this establishment is immeasurable, the walls were covered in stains, dead insects and black mould. The curtains were broken and hanging off, the WiFi and air conditioning doesn’t even work which we paid extra for, the swimming pool was coated in filth, stains all in the bed and the towels were filthy. The tv was older than we are. Also, our bathroom light didn’t even work.

The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Perfect for resting after travel.

The accommodation is within walking distance of Tha Pae Gate, Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phan Tao, and Wat Phan On. There is parking available and a swimming pool with clean water, but there is no elevator. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the staff provided helpful advice on nearby attractions.

The air conditioner isn't cooling, and the water tap isn't working.

Very nice place in Chiang Mai and kind staff. Good swimming pool and nice room for the price.
Big place with table to chill.
Easy access to a lot of place, restaurants...etc because in the old city.
Sometimes not very quiet if people make noice in the night. But we had a really good time. (2weeks)

A grown old man walked straight into my room in the middle of the day looking for ***! Literally one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced. I was laying down and this man open the door and was walking in closing the door behind him. Now I’m traveling with my BF, and he was out getting coffee, as I was sleeping in. So no the door wasn’t locked. But needless to say if a man walks in a room that isn’t his by accident, he wouldn’t try to close the door behind him while he is still!! I got up screaming cussing him out ready to knock him out, I literally picked up the chair as a weapon and forced him out of the room! Now you could only imagine how hard a woman would be screaming at the top of her lungs as an unknown man walks into her room, with all the backpackers and travelers that are hanging out along the pool, you would imagine that somebody would’ve caught wind of the cursing out, and clearly a distressed woman needing help. … but did anyone come, NO!! was anyone worried, NO!!! so I guess this place is used to argument and routing is in the middle of the day, as it just seemed to be a normal day for everybody that had been staying there for quite some time because they all looked pretty comfortable from the older guys to the younger guys that would be hanging around the pool every day. I stayed almost a week and this happened on my last day… I really could not believe that I’m screaming chasing a man down the stairs through the parking lot and no one bothered to intervene… this just goes to show the scum full place this hotel is.. upon checking in the front desk guy was absolutely terrible, he was lousy, at times disrespectful, when just asking common questions .. I arrived early, I wasn’t expecting to check in early. I just wanted to be sure that I was at the right hotel . As the name listed on trip is not the name that you Google nor the name at the front of the gate entering in the hotel it’s similar, but not the same . As I’m trying to ask if I’m at the right hotel, his rude and unprofessional response was a quick shut down with no direct answer to my question. Luckily, there was a girl who had also showed up early, and she said yeah I know he did the same thing to me so I verified with her that we were at the right spot . She told me she would’ve never stayed here if she knew it was OYO hotel , which we were both unaware of until showing up.

I didn't like the hotel; it needs some renovations. There was no hot water in the morning. The room was terrible.
The only positives were the location and the pool. I recommend it.

I booked in advance, but on the day I arrived, the hotel was full, but the hotel managed to contact another hotel for me to stay instead without having to pay any additional money. The service was very good. The hotel is in a small alley where cars can pass each other easily, and the name is similar to another hotel on the main road, which can be confusing. The new hotel that the staff found for me was good. It was on the main road, had a TV, a refrigerator, and a swimming pool. The staff provided good service, but the room walls were thin. I could hear sounds outside the room very clearly. Especially in the morning, when people walked past the room, dragging luggage, or talking, you could hear the loud noises.

I think this place was okay. Not too fancy.. A bit unmaintained but everything worked fine. Beds and pillows were good but the blankets too thin for the cool a/c.
Room was spacious and had a big fridge (check the temperature, our drinks froze). Bathroom also big and had space where you can put your stuff.
It’s a bit oldschool with old tv’s but it’s kind of cool.
Pool area looks good - unfortunately we didn’t have time to go swimming.
Location is good - street is nice during night time.
Overall a good stay - don’t expect too much - if you need a bed and a/c it’s good.
I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
Thank you 🙏

No hot water. Wifi is non-existent unless near pool. If you swim in the pool you come out covered in a layer of oil and 9/10 will end up sick. Originally we stayed here over two years ago for new years, thinking and finding it to be the cheapest place - so this time around we thought why not book for a week or two... We originally booked one week, but it was full so after arriving at checkin - they sent us to a sister hotel in Loh Kroh - aka prostitute central- and said "we have a surprise for you" turned out the alternate accommodation was far better than our original booking - had hot water and regular room cleaning - despite no pool and being surrounded by hookers constantly requesting our presence. When we finally arrived at Top North, we were immediately reminded how much this place lacked in all facilities. Yes, daily water delivered (two water bottles), but to ask for clean towels or room service... the staff were more than unreceptive to what we needed. If you're looking for cheap nearly homeless accommodation well... stay here, but honestly - you can do better. The only perk is the price. The staff are unhelpful and extremely rude. The rooms are left dirty. Majority of light didn't even work in the rooms. No daily room service - no offer either despite requests. No hot water and no wifi and a filthy pool leaving us both sick... despite a decent location to the thai pai markets, this was the most un ideal place to stay. Spend the money to stay elsewhere...

Good location. Only one guy working there was really friendly- the others not so much. No biggie. He arranged for a scooter rental- they showed up right away with a scooter- a very easy process. Near lots of restaurants and bars. We stayed 4 nights and only asked for the room to be cleaned one time but they did not do it- they came in and just left water bottles and emptied trash and thats it. No clean towels. Didn't clean the bathroom and didn't make the beds. Weird. Also they tried to charge for an extra night but luckily I had the receipt that showed I paid... so keep your receipt!

The restaurant serves up some really delicious Thai food. Prices are alright. Portions are generous. Wouldn't mind eating here again.

Had a wonderful stay here. Very clean rooms. Only issue was the shower head was kind of broken and shot very thin light streams. They helped me book a tour to the highest peak and waterfalls. Great location too.

The hotel room quite small, but its quite nice also. Best location but full of tourists
