Patong, 145/9 Nanai Rd. 🧭 Map
We were looking for an affordable hotel in Patong, within walking distance to the sea but in a quiet location, and we definitely chose well.
The hotel is situated in an alley off a busy street, yet the room was quiet, and you could hear birds in the morning.
The furniture and interior are traditional Thai. The bed was incredibly comfortable; I didn't want to get up in the mornings!
Room cleaning...
Arrived after check in time and able to liaise with reception to check in later which was great. Room was spacious - we booked the room without a living space or dining room which was fine as we ended up eating out most of the time. There was a kitchenette available. Beds were comfy and large. Hotel set back from Nainai road so didn’t get all the traffic noise.
Close to restaurants, massage and coffee...
A great hotel in my favorite area of Patong. Everything you need is nearby. Clean, comfortable, large rooms.
The hotel has a coffee shop with very good coffee.
A comfortable apartment with a kitchen, two bedrooms, clean, and fairly quiet, considering it's in Patong. There's an elevator; we were on the 4th floor. The downsides were our view of an old, unfinished building, and the air conditioning, which smelled bad in the small room when turned on, so we had to make do without it and use a fan. Overall, the hotel is okay, suitable for a long-term stay.
Very attentive to solve our problem. The reception girl is great! whenever u have problem with your rooms just call them. they come to solve the problem just in few minutes.
We are very enjoy staying in this guest house.
The hotel offers excellent service, a comfortable mattress, and good pillows. Sleeping was a pleasure. The room had a comfortable balcony where we could enjoy coffee and breakfast. The only drawback was the lack of hot water at night and the weak water pressure.

Chiang Mai City, 63/1 Chang Moi Kao Rd, Tambon Si Phum 🧭 Map
Stayed here for originally 7 nights was worried at first as after booking I saw it was a weed shop downstairs as well as a hotel. I am someone who doesn't smoke at all, but the hotel was very local to where I wanted to be. I arrived about 6.30pm and my key was left on the side with some paperwork to fill out. Very easy, luckily I was in room 2 which is only up about 12 steps (I have a big suitcase...
We had the best stay for 4 night in what felt like a pent house studio room with view of the whole city , and mountain, the room was comfortable and clean and the water in the shower was hot! The people who work there and live there are the best , friendly and welcoming! It felt like a home base vibe and I highly recommend staying here! Thank you to Jasmine and the team for making our stay so nice...
...its such an amazing hostel. I used the private rooms b5 and b7 - which include a balcony you can smoke on without the worry of a narc crying about the smell.
I stayed for around 1 month and noticed how diverse it was. Younger budget travellers, solo travellers, travellers aged 50+, pet friendly users, stoners and couples. The eclectic mix of guests gives the hostel a uniquely special atmosphere...
I stayed a month and loved every minute.
Olive and fantastic staff looked after me so well from the start to finish.
Great room with everything you need and well laid out.
I spent a lot of time on the balcony watching the world go by and it's especially nice at Sunrise.
Short walk into the old town and lots of restaurants literally minutes away.
Throughly recommended
Lovely guesthouse close to old town. The staff running the place are lovely and the bed is comfortable and the room is good value for the price. 1 thing to note is the hotel is also a weed shop. This didnt bother me and you couldn't smell it in the rooms, just something to be aware of.
Really kind people that have a great herbal menu to buy products from whether you're a guest or not. Stop by and chill. ✨✌🏻

Patong, 19/15 Bangtonkhao Rd 🧭 Map
The hotel is located between Roads 2 and 3 at the very beginning of Patong Beach, if you're coming from the airport. It's a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to the sea. Hot and cold water, a refrigerator, a kettle, and internet access are available in the room. The room is spacious and has a balcony. The staff is very helpful.
A good guesthouse for the price. The bed is a little hard, but overall you can sleep. Cleaning is done every two days, as are towels. Roosters crow from 4-5 a.m., and you can hear them clearly in the room, which was sometimes annoying.
The location is excellent, a maximum of 10 minutes' walk to the sea. The room is spacious, clean, and water is provided daily. There's a mosque nearby, so you can hear it all in the morning. And the roosters chirped like in a village, but it didn't bother me. Keep in mind that you need to leave a 500 baht deposit; you'll get it back upon check-out.
Inexpensive guest house, the price/quality corresponds, a couple of days I had to come by navigator, because I had to get there by narrow streets
The rooms are old, the furniture is crooked, lopsided, old, practically falling apart and corresponds to its price, so nothing terrible, if not for the roosters that crow at sunrise and do not shut up until it sets) They crow very loudly. Plus the roosters are joined by very loud prayers. In a word - noisy. Otherwise, it's fine.
The room is clean and reasonable price. Suitable for those who want to stay and put their bags down.

Had a double room with balcony.
Basic facilities.
Cleaned daily bar Sunday.
Close to bars,restaurants and shopping.
Bangla rd and beach within walking distance.
Staff friendly.
The location is very convenient, with everything nearby—restaurants, massage shops, the beach, and the famous Patong Beach street. Despite being close to all the action, it’s quiet at night, so you can sleep well.
On the downside, housekeeping could be improved. Also, we stayed on the fourth floor and there is no elevator, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
Still a good place to stay thanks...
It's okay for a one-night stay, but not for living. Cockroaches 🪳, torn towels, and a football stadium right outside the window. I do not recommend it!
Everything was wonderful.. For this price, the hotel is luxurious...
The room is located near the center. THERE IS PRACTICALLY NO WINDOW IN THE ROOM. The room is small and smells damp. You can stay for one night.
This hotel generally lives up to its 2-star rating. It's clean and pleasant, and thankfully, no ants or bugs like some previous reviews mentioned.
The only downsides are: 1. Sometimes the towels have holes, and the bedding looks quite worn. 2. The balcony directly faces a school. I was lucky that it was school holidays for about 90% of my stay, but once the kids returned, there was a big break around...

The location is poor, but the staff are nice. However, the room layout and furnishings weren't very tidy.
If you're just looking for a place to sleep, this hotel isn't for much else. You won't want to spend time there, but the price-to-quality ratio is good, and it's right next to the most beautiful beach.
We've stayed here for 3 nights. Very good guesthouse for this price. Friendly staff. Close to the bars and beach. Good and not so small room. I would like to come back. A bit noisy, but I didn't have any problem with sleeping honestly
Very friendly staff rooms where very clean and location was spot on
Exceptional service, spotlessly clean rooms, and convenient location. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay truly enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful experience.
This guesthouse exceeded my expectations beyond words. I judged it prematurely because of the price but my room was very big, it was squeaky clean and it actually looked nice. I also had a TV that I actually used, a kettle to make my coffee, an iron to press my clothes and a mini bar fridge. My room also had a balcony. The location is perfect. Check-in convenience: Super convenient. Check-in is handled at the clothing store next door, which is very stylish and exceptionally clean. The front desk staff speak excellent English, so there's no need to worry about communication issues.

The location is fantastic, very close to the sea and the main attractions. The hotel owners are also nice. In terms of price and performance, it deserves a 9.5 out of 10. It's also not too noisy.
The guesthouse is very well-located, near Patong Beach, bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful; they even received a package and stored it for me. The room is ok. The bathroom is very small; everything gets wet when showering, so it's better to place them outside, even the toilet paper. Good for short stay. Rooms are simple but ok, clean, comfortable bed. Windows have mosquito nets. You can hear the beach bar music but still ok to sleep (anyway I think you hear the music on the whole island, they are terribly loud and annoying when you are on the beach).
Location is in a quiet area (no bar or restaurant around) but on the way you cross a stinky klong with black water and lots of trash...
The host was extremely friendly with us. The room is good considering the low price we paid for it, it had a small balcony, A/C, a tv, and it was very clean. The only difficulty for me was the location, it was a little bit far from everything. But I read from other reviews that it used to be a noisy area at night, which is totally not the case now. It was very quiet and we had a good sleep.
The host was so friendly, really helpful giving advice about things to do, also helped booking tours and transport off the island. The room was fairly basic but clean and certainly adequate for the cheap price paid. Main issue was slightly out of the hosts control, but related to noise. We stayed a bit further out of the main town to avoid the loud bars and clubs but the Ibiza pool party was so loud...
The people who work here are absolutely amazing and go out of their way to help you. You can rent free snorkeling gear and they are so well informed about the island. The rooms smell great and are well air-conditioned. Extremely clean and the WiFi works perfectly. Love this place!
Really lovely place spent only 1 night here :( the owner was very very welcoming and made us feel right at home. He upgraded us to a air con which was very nice of him. Perfect location unless your not scared of a 5 minute walk from the heart of the party

Excellent value for money. The room was clean, and there was always hot water. A 7/11 and a cafe are just a stone's throw away. The beach is about a 5-minute leisurely walk.

Great value. Great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. When the laundry wasn’t working they got someone out to fix it immediately. Rooms are not flash, but clean, tidy, and have all the essentials. They offer ammenities like a pool, pool table, food (the mango smoothie was the bomb.com). Great atmosphere, there is a jazz band that plays next door most evenings.
Perfect location close to everything you want. Rooms are basic, but bed was a little uncomfortable, wooden floor boards were very creaky and bathroom started smelling of mould due to lack of ventilation. Pool area was nice but could do with more seating. Food availability was hit and miss but the fried rice we were able to have was super tasty!
Nice common area (pool swimming pool restaurant)
Rooms are basic but clean and hot shower is available.
Bit expensive but might be due to the season of New year.

Not a bad guesthouse for the money. I booked a month in advance for 3,500 rubles per night. It's fine for the price. The room itself is average. But the bedding smelled strange. Popeye Guesthouse is a really nice play to stay for a while in Ao Nang!
The host is really warm and the bedroom is well furnished (fridge, safe, AC...).
It is really really close to Ao Nang beach (5-minute walk) and it is next to the best bar I have never been (Dream Bar, run by a lovely owner) and a fast and efficient laundry service.
I stayed at this hotel last week for under 1000thb when every other hotel was over 4000thb and tbf it was worth the money. The shower pressure and consistent temperature was better than at 5* hotels, the staff were lovely and it’s also in a great location. very basic hotel and a little noisy but overall well worth the value:)
Habitable at best. If you are booking for high season and everywhere else is expensive, you might want to consider a hostel. I didn't do that because hostels can be noisy, but this place is just the same. Even earplugs didn't help much.
Popeye Guesthouse is a nece choice for budget travellers. All rooms are on the ground floor, so some rooms's window are corridor view, not open to outside view, so ventilation of some rooms are not so good. Room is spacious with clean bathroom. TV can't be watched at all. No drinking water provided. Entrance of the guesthouse is motorbike rental and Laundry shop. Great location with restaurants.
We booked two Standard Fan Rooms for a two-night stay to accommodate our family of four. This hotel is conveniently located near key attractions such as the Mountain Buddha Temple, Monkey Trail, and Ao Nang Landmark Night Market.
While the guest rooms are equipped with a fridge, it's important to note that water bottles were not provided during our stay.
We stayed in the first room and it was more than expected. The room and the bathroom looked quite good, even though we got the option with a fan instead of AC. The bathroom has the shower together with the toilet, but that's how you see mostly in SE Asia.
The location is great. Also WiFi worked totally fine.

Overall is good, the room is clean and have everything, just the safety locker not functioning, and room space a little bit small. Recommended for foreigners because the staffs know English.
It's a nice little stay. It's in the middle of everywhere (tourist spot), and yet quiet enough. The rooms are held rather small, but do you really need much space? The shower had good pressure. You can't do anything wrong with booking this stay.
