Very Average hotel, not good and not bad. The guys aren’t briefed it’s an ******* VIP hotel, an ******* traveler is a standard traveler for them. Restaurant service is very average, you need to ask and re-ask again the staff in order to get the service.

The whole hotel is relatively quiet, giving people a sense of security. The breakfast service staff downstairs is very friendly. You can order fried eggs and sometimes beef liver. But there is no place to go around.

The food was ok, but it’s a shame they always have just one soup. Overall, the experience feels too dull. The indoor dining area lacks ambiance—aside from the sound of chairs scraping across the floor (they could really use chair leg protectors). The outdoor seating, while lovely in concept, is often too windy and accompanied by loud, nightclub-style music that doesn’t suit a fine dining atmosphere...

The Dar el Jeld is like visiting a fancy aunt's house. My Tunisian friend pointed out the vessels that her grandmother would have used to make rose water or store couscous and I noticed the inclusion of local plants (jasmine, prickly pear) in the decor. Incredible house…. A veritable palace! The interior is decorated with countless museum worthy pieces, and the owner Leila has installed a wonderful museum of tile in the basement. We were thrilled to have lunch with her during our stay. We had a reservation for the Four Seasons later in our trip, but canceled it in favor of returning here!

A beautiful and really welcoming small hotel in the Medina, filled with wonderful things, especially the Tunisian ceramics. Very comfortable rooms, kept spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff. It is a quiet and peaceful place with a terrific roof terrace and dramatic views across the Medina and Tunis beyond. It is a memorable and lovely place to stay, very reasonably priced.

Incredibly warm and helpful staff, and a beautiful space with stunning historic details — especially in the common areas. We liked being so centrally located in the Medina, and the breakfast was generous and delicious.

A genuine staff with very interesting art throughout the grounds. Very convenient walk to the souk. Fantastic terrace if the weather cooperates. For those unaccustomed to travel in the area, the alleys at night will provide both a sense of adventure and intrigue. Don't let the gritty night walks scare you off.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, with an antique atmosphere. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop, which is very pleasant. Strolling around the old city, getting around is very convenient, very satisfactory!

The entertainers were amazing and made my holiday. One of the best entertainers was Foufa as she ran the kids club all day and made it such a fun experience for all ages, as all of my friends ages varied from 3-16. A beautiful hotel set in a quiet corner of the Medina. Staff were helpful. Breakfast up on the roof was also good. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel was clean, the service was good, and I had a comfortable stay. However, I received a polite message when I made the reservation, but there was no response when I replied, and I had no answers to my questions, which was disappointing. Other than that, the staff were very kind, and I have no complaints.

We spent New Year's Eve with our family in this magnificent house, located in La Medina. It is large and comfortable, ideal for six guests. We were very well looked after by the owner.

The hotel is located in the Medina. There are eateries nearby. The hotel itself is very charming. The rooms are clean and the staff are extremely friendly. One inconvenient aspect of the hotel is that you can't open the front door yourself. So, every time you go in or out, you have rely on someone to open the door for you to the hotel itself.

Average 3 star hotel near the city center. A good place to crash, but that's all. A train station is nearby from which you can easily reach the coastal towns of Goulette, Carthage and La Marsa.

I stayed one night with a family of 5. They have large rooms for families which is quite convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The toilet needed some maintenance, but everything was working and clean. WiFi was not stable. If you are looking for a short stay with limited budget it is a decent place.

I have a friend in Tunisia who met us and drove us to this hotel. The streets became very narrow and we eventually had to pull over and walk. It's in a busy market area and gives you a really authentic feel of Tunisian life. What a great place to stay! We really loved the place, the fibes and the service. Ignore the bad reviews. I read them and they complained about the fact that there is no access by car. That is true, but that is valid for all locations in the medina. The beds are great and the location can easily be accessed with the help of Google maps. Go here! I wish we did sooner :)

The location was easy to navigate in the Medina. The staff offered to come and meet us to bring us in when a taxi dropped us outside the Medina. The staff was friendly and welcoming offering us a snack when we came in.

This is a really unique boutique hotel in the heart of the medina. A bit late (our stay was in June), but we had a wonderful week with incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming hosts. We felt right at home. The house is beautiful and the location is peaceful. We had a lovely stay at Dar El Yasmine. Helene and Mohamed are great hosts, breakfast was great, the house is beautiful and the neighbourhood is quiet. There are a lot of shops, supermarkets, caffes, restaurants in walking distance. We used Bolt to get to Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. Would recomend it to anyone that wants to visit the area.

Amazing little oasis in Tunis. The garden is a work of art in this tough climate. You can see the love and care invested by Helène and Mohamed. The suite room was quite spacious, though it had a slight odor. The breakfast was good; the freshly squeezed pomegranate juice was a great option. The seafood noodles for dinner were decent, and the portion was quite large (picture 3).

I am not sure if it's 5 star hotel as I've never been into one, but I can say that the hotel is very pretty, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and ready to help, the food is nice and there's good variety for all the meals. I was sad to see that there is no gym inside but I had a very nice experience in the hotel.

Wonderful reception staff — they provided us with all the services we needed! The dining hall, the restaurant, great team, and the cleanliness were all as they should be. I think it’s a wonderful place.

It was a nice appartment, spacious, clean and confortable. Its a dhame the full kitchen had no accessories whatsover, so the kitchen was usless.

I can't speak to what it's like to stay here, but I feel compelled to leave a review regardless. My wife sings here several times a week and of every hotel in Tunis this place has consistently the most genuinely friendly staff. Certainly they are well-trained professionally, but the warmth is palpable and not just for show. Very much appreciate them.
