First of all, we can't fault the wonderful sea view from the room and balcony. The room was clean and decorated in a Greek holiday house style. Bathroom was a little small and only provided shower foam. Please bring along your own toiletries. Breakfast was pretty tasty for a small selection with good service from the restaurant staff as well.
Now, to the main issues for this hotel, there is absolutely NO soundproofing for the room. We could hear every single noise from the room next to us as well as the corridor. In all the hotels that we have stayed before, we have never experienced any noise issues, but it's strange that soundproofing is not a requirement or essential to qualify a 3 star rating for this hotel (which we are very puzzled on how they gotten this rating). We are staying on the 3rd floor and away from the night clubs during the off-peak season in springtime, and yet we were woken up at 1am by a couple who probably has been drinking before that and continued their drinking session in the balcony next to our room. They started shouting and screaming nonstop from 1am to 5:30am. Even with ear plugs on, we could still hear everything. The reception staff came up to stop them about 3am, but it got worse after that. They started retaliating and made even more noises after that, with the female screaming Non-stop into the streets and the male banging on the doors and walls. By this time, both of us couldn't sleep at all and when they finally stopped and checked out at 5:30am, it was also time for us to wake up to get ready for our tour. Now we could understand why the hotel had to hire 3 burly reception guys to guard the hotel against angry patrons, but none of them knew what to do to handle this situation. There was no apology from the hotel staff for our lack of sleep or for the noise disturbances. We would not recommend staying in this hotel, unless you intend to stay awake all night long to make noise. We definitely won't be coming back to this hotel again.
