Rooms are cramped. And there is always a nuisance all the time.
And the Internet doesn't work in rooms. So the price per night is high compared to the situation of the hotel

Blimey was it poor? That’s an understatement… I highly recommend avoiding for your sanity.
Why you should avoid:
1) Cockroaches all over the room (shower and bed room).
2) Lack of respect from staff.
3) Cum stains on the bed sheets.
4) Broken fridge and AC.
5) We asked for room clean but the answer was no…
Don’t get me wrong, this hotel was no means supposed to be a luxury, but what we lived through was hell… DO NOT STAY.

If your looking for night club this is your stay! This hotel is awful its so loud and they constantly play the music from at least 1pm until 2am DAILY!!! EFFECTS Asda maris hotel which is a beautiful pleasant stay or could be if it wasn't for golden star hotel. Sometimes cheap is not always the option. Smells like cigarette as they constantly smoke at the front of the hotel. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL

By far the worst hotel experiences ive ever had in my life. The problems were as follows:

1) The manager Mehmed was extremely rude and always seemed annoyed at even the smallest of tasks, like when we asked him for the wifi he gave out a massive sigh and held his face in his hands almost as if we had caused him great grief.

2) Mehmed is a real cheapskate. Would turn the water off after a certain time so you cant use the water in the night.

3) Took 3 days to come and fix the t.v., and that was only because on the 3rd day we bought it up in front of a group of customers.

4) Didn't replace the lightbulb in our room after it went out and we brought it to his attention.

5) Always served the same stale, disgusting breakfast everyday - pieces of hard bread accompanied by nasty butter.

6) The rooms in the hotel are extremely cramped and quite frankly really ugly. Pay more and go to a better hotel

7) Bathroom lock never worked for any of the 3 rooms we booked

8) Wifi was only available in the lobby

Staff not welcoming
Manager having a nap in the lobby whenever he liked (unprofessional)
TV in the room not clear to watch (issues with Ariel) - only Turkish channels so couldn't access it anyway.
The same breakfast every morning wish I hadn't paid half board as we ended up eating from outside anyway. There was just no choice of food.
Having to pay for our water with our evening meal - we felt this wasn't right as we paid for half board.
The manager tried charging us for our evening meal on our last night at the hotel and we reminded him that we were half board when he was clearly aware of this.
Upon arrival we were given a room with two single beds when me and my husband booked a double room.
Rarely played music no entertainment
14 year old boy serving bear and working what seemed day and night
WiFi could only be accessed in the lobby and not in your room and the manager said this was to try to encourage people to buy more from the lobby area.

Everyone I spoke to living at the hotel were not happy and claimed that they wouldn't stay there again ... If you want to enjoy your holiday then keep well away from this hotel.
