Mustafa Cappadocia Resort in Uerguep

Weird layout of room.Poorly lit with the mirror above the sink at chest level.Couldnt figure that out. Had to bend knees and stoop forward to use mirror .No Kleenex,one small roll toilet paper and the shower didn't work .The shower gel container did not dispense.

Came with tour for 2 nights. Room is small but clean. Bathroom extremely small, poorly equipped, thin, worn towels, shower looks dated and has some mold by the floor. No shelf for own soap, shampoo etc. No lotion, no iron. Also no housekeeping service on second day, nothing replaced (water, tea bags, towels). I would rated 3* and wouldn’t stay here on my own.

Stayed at this hotel with a tour group seeing Turkey. The hotel did not meet my expectation. The fifth floor rooms are poorly laid out. The bathroom sink wall is for midgets. The ceiling is slanted that when looking in the mirror you get a great view of your chest. The lighting is very poor. I used a flashlight for lighting to remove my contacts. The shower has squeeze bottles with shampoo but the container was empty. We did have tiny bottles of shampoo and shower gel to use. No Kleenex is available and one roll of toilet paper in room. We found very few people could speak English. If returning to Cappadocia I would stay some place else.

The hotel is modern but not centrally located. No tourist sites, shops, or restaurants were in walking distance. It is somewhat isolated. Lots of tours stay here based on the number of tour busses in the parking area seen from our hotel room. Hot air balloon ride is the main nearby attraction. Mini-bat and room safe in room. The restaurant is very large and can easily accommodate lots of people. The food items are positioned well. At dinner: Among the 7 hotels we stayed at in Turkey an the past weeks, this was the only restaurant that had very little amount of salad items if you wanted a salad with your meal. There was less fresh fruit than other hotels we visited. Lots of desserts but few were as appealing as other locations. Several hot entrees in the buffet line. Some soups and fresh baked breads. A large selection of items but not as good as the other 6 Turkey hotels for either breakfast or dinner.

Hotel is very outdated. Reception area looks nice but the rooms are not up to the appearance of the common areas. Let me get started with the bathroom: toilet is so close to the shower box that you can easily tilt your head and have a nap. The drain in the shower has a 7 cm hole, one has to be careful not to step in it and break a toe. On my last day, I received an unsolicited wake up call at 5:20am. Fun. #NOT. When I told the receptionist, he said "it wasn't me". By this simple sentence, you can have an idea of the level of service. The curtains in the room. What a joy! They are too narrow and don't cover the window properly. Which does not make a huge difference anyway, as they are semi see-through so blocking the light is not on the menu. Also, you hear all your fellow "neighbors" in the corridor (even if they speak in normal volume). Between the floor and the door there's a gap and the door is quite thin. The soap in the toilet looks radioactive: bright pink at the sink and neon blue in the shower. The type you find in public toilets. Restaurant is huge, so expect crowds and messy food if you are not there at the time is opens. Ah, they have 3 lifts. But good luck trying to go up or down without having to wait at least 5 minutes (when groups arrive or leave it gets even worse). All in all, if they call themselves a 5 star hotel, they should AT LEAST have decent rooms, decent toiletries and a staff that don't say "it wasn't me" when you report an issue.
