The location is perfect just a short walk to Galata Port and 2 mins walking to Tophane tram station making it easy to explore the city. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, especial thanks to Mahmut, who was very friendly and always ready to help.
Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. I stayed in deluxe room overlooking the main street, the room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well decorated.
Overall, the hotel offers amazing value for money. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations, and will definitely be returning here on our next visit!

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. One step access to number of local authentic and modern bars. Clean rooms. Very friendly staff and room service. Full and tasty breakfast. Defenately can recommend this place to my friends.

Amazing staff and very helpful. The breakfast was also very good. It was located very central but our room was a little bit disappointing as the windows wouldn't close properly. As a result they kept opening during a rainy night. It's wasn't really clean(the balcony was like a disaster)in general and also our toilet was missing a door knob.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Royal Tophane in Istanbul was extremely disappointing.
In my personal perception, the rooms were very dirty. In the evenings, there was even flickering light coming out of a shaft, which looked strange and worrying to me. We reported this to the reception. They told us they would take care of it, but nothing was done — even though we asked them about it two or three times again.
There was no telephone in our room. The toilet brush was already broken when we arrived. After going back and forth multiple times, we only received a new toilet brush after three days, as far as I remember.
The food was, in my opinion, extremely bad. The building itself looks like something from the 18th century.
In the lobby, there is a toilet with the door constantly open. I genuinely cannot understand why a toilet door is open in the middle of the lobby — this was simply disgusting to me.
Overall, the entire hotel had a very unpleasant smell.
For me personally — absolutely not recommendable.

The hotel was in a very nice spot with plenty of shops and restaurants. Upon arrival we met Berat who was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us all the information needed. Breakfast was ok. The room was exactly as in the pictures although the shower needs some maintainance.

Greatly accessible hotel in the heart of Tophane, near dozens of cafés, dining and clubs. Interior is as shown in pictures and look even better in person — think of old world meets modern touch. Loved this hotel location that was easy to travel to and back from the T1 line to most touristic areas. Loved the breakfast , with a nice variety of choices. Big showers and clean towels, comfy bed and nicely sized rooms (we had booked a standard room, but we got upgraded to a deluxe double without cost with no extra hidden fee). Staff was very nice and accommodating. We mostly dealt with DOĞUKAN the youngest staff with the neck tattoos who helped us all the time🤍, thanks again! We will definitely come back to this hotel.

Very good location. tram & bus station only a 5 minutes walk. the street was packed with restaurants and shops so it was very lively and offers the cheerful ambience that turkiye offers (some nights could be quite noisy).
the room was also very clean and modern and spacious (very much like the picture).
the breakfast was very nice because they served a typical turkish breakfast.
the reception was also very friendly and provided us the essential information for first-timers.
overall a very pleasant stay for the whole duration and surely a recommended accomodation for everyone.

No vehicle access to the door but this means great street and restaurants/bars straight out the door. Very safe area.

Great location to walk to all the markets/ attractions etc, it does get a by loud at night but that's expected given it's proximity to bars.

I went for the cafe, never knew there was a hotel or smth. Anyway, the breakfast was delicious and not overpriced, the Bazlama was juicy and not too heavy for a breakfast. The Meneman and the fries were just so right but i ordered a Flat White but they got me a Cappuccino! They were so lovely though and i enjoyed it💖💖

My husband and I are currently visiting Istanbul and stumbled across this lovely cafe within a 2 minute walk of our hotel. We both got the cheese omelet and it was so delicious!! Very reasonably priced at around 800 Turkish lira for the both of us. Everything even down to the honey and the butter were so fresh and tasted great. Definitely recommend for a quick bite in the morning

We’ve been in Istanbul for five days. This was the best breakfast—authentic Turkish breakfast recommended by a local. It’s on a super cute street under a canopy of umbrellas. We highly recommend!

Very loud on weekends, hard to sleep because of the music from bars around. Room is nice but they barely clean the rooms when you request it. Location is convenient if you don’t worry about the noise on weekends.
