TEVETOGLU HOTEL

I can't call these hotel rooms good. When you enter the hotel lobby, you think that everything should be fine. But when you enter the room, you don't even understand what you paid for. Despite the fact that the windows are open all the time, the room smells of smoke. There are wires sticking out of the bathroom (even though you can't touch them, but they are sticking out). The furniture is very old. there are holes in the walls, covered with paper. If you spend the night, a night at most - you can tolerate it (if you come only to sleep, then it seems like torture). If longer - I don't recommend staying here. The staff practically doesn't understand English (for me it's no big problem, but a little bit uncomfortable). I'm very glad that I'll be leaving in the morning.

I was stranded in Istanbul airport having missed my flight, it was just past midnight with my 9 year old son who was suffering from gastroenteritis. The hotel in the airport was full so not sure what to do for 9 hours, I booked this hotel, I turned up to the hotel on 26th at 00.30 within 20 minutes of booking, literally I needed a safe space for my son to get a few hours sleep and get cleaned up and somewhere to use the facilities.

They said my booking was for the next day. So I asked them if they could give me a room tonight? They said they had a premium room and I would have to pay 110 euros for this and that I should speak to trip.com to get a refund for the other booking. This conversation was being directed by the manager on the phone to the reception team. So I started the cancellation for the room with trip.com and selected the option ‘hotel agreed to a refund’ at which point the manager came downstairs and told me and my son to leave! I pulled my camera out to start recording them and he pushed me! It was all so strange and a miserable ending to a wonderful trip.

I continued videoing him, they were just laughing, to try and extort money from my me is one thing, but I am travelling with a minor who was in pain. I just felt so bad for my son, I am responsible for his welfare and putting him through this - even though it wasn’t my fault.

Fortunately we were able to find another hotel nearby and I called them first to ensure no mishaps. I eventually got my son to sleep at 2am and woke him at 6am to start our journey home. I paid for two hotels for four hours use in the end!

I feel really strongly about this situation and would be happy to discuss this further and share the videos. I would highly recommend you avoid this hotel! If anything goes wrong with your booking, don’t expect any common sense or empathy. They very much have ‘the computer says no’ mentality, however for a hotelier to put his hands on a customer that has a paid reservation even if it’s technically the next day - is inexcusable behaviour!

i booked for three persons at Tevetoğlu Hotel. when i reached the hotel they informed me that odamax gave you wrong information for the booking room and your room is just for two person and you can sleep at sofa . this experience is so bad especially my old and illnesses parents with me . i don't recommend to deal with that hotel and odamax website
