Finally it's okay to live here, but not the best idea to have breakfast. Nearby are some historical streets and the tower, I had a nice short walk before going to the airport.
The room was clean and of a good size, it had a remarquable decoration honoring the MGallery hotel collection.
The hotel staff was very helpful during the stay and we had the pleasure to have a 30-minutes access to the hotel historical hammam.
Regarding the breakfast, it had a nice location, on top of the hotel with an amazing view on Sultanhamet. Despite offering a lot of local products the breakfast could be marginally enhanced with a greater choice on the « à la carte » menu.
We would be very happy to discover more of Istanbul and to stay at this property.
I stayed on a high floor with a relaxing view of the Golden Horn and Galata.
The room featured a spacious bed and a large balcony. The only minor downside was the compact bathroom.
Highly recommended.
Coming into the hotel, we were greeted, and we checked-in early, which is always a good sign. We were briefed about the welcomed drinks and were shown to our room. After reaching the room we decided to unpack. But when we entered the room, it was freezing. There were many gaps between the sliding window along the entrance of the room and cold air was seeping in. No matter how high i turned the AC, the room was nearly as cold as it was outside. This was really a let down.
Next, the toilet at the sliding door had tons of grime and dirt stuck below it. Again, i expect this from any other older rated hotel, but from an MGallery hotel, i was frankly very surprised.
For a hotel of this quality, i expected better from the room maintenance as well.
Other than that, the hotel also mentioned that there was a free 30-min self use Hammam located at the basement, and we can book with them. Afterwhich they would guide us to it for us to use it. Not being a local, and not having been before, i asked the hotel staff quickly, how does a hammam work and what do i have to do? They just said that the hammam staff will let me know what to do.
So i booked a slot and went down. Had to come up and down twice because the woman at the front desk of the hotel told me to bring my bath robe, so i brought it down the first time. Then she told me that i shouldnt bring it, but instead wear it. So she asked me to go back to my room and change into the bathrobe before coming down again. (i would have done so if the instructions were clear). Upon going down the second time, i followed her along with some paid patrons to another room, where they went for their appointments while i was standing in the centre of a waiting area, waiting for SOMEONE to guide or at least tell me where to go or what to do. I finally asked her again, what am I supposed to do and to explain the Hammam to me, because i have not done it before. She then chided me (i think she didnt really understand), and brought me to the corridor outside of the bath and asked another person to bring me along.
This was actually quite a confusing, and irritating encounter that i dont think reflected very well on the hotel and staff. Knowing that there are tourist in your country, i would have expected some hospitality.

The rooms have molded floors around the bathroom, smell like mold and the view is non existent.
Bathroom ceilings are molded and when you take a shower the whole bathroom area has couple of centimeters of water. The shower was broken as well.
The beds are on the lower side of the comfort as well and the room isolation is like a cardboard.
Absolutely an awful experience and would not recommend despite the good location. I am leaving pictures so anyone can be a judge (can’t leave the scent unfortunately). It’s a 3 star hotel at the absolute most and don’t know how they got 4… maybe few years ago, but now everything is run down.
The manager Georges repeats 10 times how everything can be arranged and have a nice experience, but actually takes no action at all.
The staff tries to be nice and helpful but does nothing as well, probably because of management.
Note:
As a reply to the comment below, since its not possible to respond. We are free to do what we like stay or not, comment or not. Despite the wrong reservation, i left photos which has nothing to do with the reservation but just showing the real image of the hotel. So everyone can be a judge.
I stayed at Georges Hotel Galata for five nights and had a great experience. The location is perfect: steps from Galata Tower and all the energy of Beyoğlu, with Karaköy's waterfront just down the hill.
The rooms have beautiful high ceilings that make the space feel elegant and airy. The showers are wonderful, and I loved the thick towels and sheets (plus there's a heated towel warmer, which is a nice touch). PRO TIP: ask for a room on the garden side if you can. The neighbourhood is lively and bustling, but the garden-facing rooms are surprisingly quiet.
What really stood out was the service. The concierge staff are genuinely kind and helpful, not just going through the motions. They made reservations at local restaurants for us and gave great recommendations. When I had a plumbing issue in my room, the manager Mr. Serkan personally checked on it multiple times and made sure everything was handled professionally. That level of attention makes a real difference.
Oh, and there's a charming resident cat named Lollipop who adds personality to the place
The rooftop bar has spectacular views and excellent cocktails. If you're looking for boutique luxury with personal service in the Galata area, I'd definitely recommend Georges Hotel.
