This was a wonderful stay at a super convenient hotel in a big busy city. It is extremely well located, the staff are friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them. They organised several airport transfers without a problem. The rooms are very clean - best shower I have had in a long time⭐️. There is nothing fancy about the hotel but just really excellent value. Right near to supermarkets and restaurants. I had 2 separate stays during my trip and they upgraded my room for my 2nd 2 nights at no extra cost.

the location of thia hotel is near to the highlight spot in istanbul. and because it's location no wonder the price is quite high (all the hotel in the sultanahmed is expensive)
we book room for 3 people and in the ground floor.
the room not so big so we have to organize our laguagge for the movement in the room.
the facility is standard like towels, toiletris, tv etc.
just acros the hotel you can find supermarket where you can buy everything you need.

My child and I stayed at this hotel for a week in August 2024. The staff was very helpful, provided tips, and were very friendly. Everything was newly renovated and very clean. We were given a complimentary upgrade and stayed on the third floor in a standard room with window at the back. The hotel is very well located, with the Tram station Cemberlitas just 15-20 meters away, and many restaurants, shops, and a supermarket right outside the door and we still didnt hear any loud noise. The value for money is excellent. We are absolutely satisfied and will definitely return.

Excellent hotel. Clean and really good locations. Very walkable to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque Tokopi palace, Hagia Sophia. Front desk people are so friendly, especially Alim I love how they created a WhatsApp chat with me so I can ask questions from them. Would highly recommend. Pictures are as you see it

Review: bad and good sides
1. Bad first impression with customer service. A manager named Emrah as I remember has a low customer service skill.
We booked a hotel room through Agoda website. When we arrived at the hotel, the manager told us, our room would be in basement which isn’t described on the website. He carelessly said the hotel doesn’t work with Agoda.
With his attitude he didn’t show any understanding and effort to help.
We contacted Agoda who was willing to help from their part. But the hotel manager, Emrah, didn’t purpose above and beyond help from his side.
If you were in my situation, you would feel like being scammed and forced to pay more when we arrived at the front desk. We were willing to pay for upgrade easily if we weren’t being treated poorly by this manager, Emrah at the first place.
2. On the hand, another staff, Ali seems to know about customer service at handling the situation. He showed his understanding and spoke with us without any attitude.
3. A room we upgraded ourselves to was clean but the ambience isn’t good for light sleepers. There is loud noise and light from outside getting into your room.
Bathroom was still small even for Asian person.
Blanket was small even I’m 159cm my feet sticking out. Of course we got cold during the sleep.
Some people might not understand my situation. It’s ok. I work in the hospitality so i can tell what is the difference

Staff at the reception are friendly and helpful. This morning, the reception even helped us to secure an airport (IST) transfer when we did not book in advance.
Walking distance to the historical sites (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, basilica cistern, Topkapi palace, grand bazaar, spice bazaar etc). We did not even use the tram during our 6-nights stay.

Very very friendly and extremely helpful receptionist. All of them are super nice. Very grateful for their help in getting us a ride to the airport. The hotel is at a good location. The room is clean and I love how all the beddings and towel smells so nice. Thank you to all the staff. Appreciate it a lot :)

Hotel - 10 ✔️ Location - 10 ✔️ Staff - 10 ✔️ Clean and best location. Staff is very frindly and always available for helping you about attractions in the city etc. Rooms are a little bit smaller but they are the same as they look on Booking. Will come back for sure! 🙂

small and nice hotel very central, easy to get around in every part of the city. the staff is polite and kind I was in Istanbul for work and a bit of vacation I managed to do both without problems. they recommended me a place not very touristy and very Turkish and I was able to play a bit.. thank

Very safe hotel , with a great location, i was very comfortable living in it because its beside a police station.
Negatives :
- elevator is too small , it can take 3 maximum without the bags
- breakfast is not varied, repeated , everyday the same food, with a very very small changes
- food is too expensive, i bought a Sandwich for 600TL
Positives :
- Ali is a great guy , helped me a lot , i hope for him a good day
- staff is very cooperative and friendly thanks to them
- the hotel takes the customer reviews seriously

What can I say about this hotel, pure hospitality and a must stay when your in Istanbul. Take it from me the service is special especially Mehmut and Sena who always greet you and take care of you whenever you need. Sena especially well done! The breakfast is fresh whenever you need no matter what time you get up. If you need a top up a fresh portion it will be made for you.

Location, location location: this hotel is right on the spot where the ancient hippodrome used to be and 5 minutes walk from the Hagia Sophia and all the action. Plenty of eating options very close by. The hotel is busy - even in the low season. There are a few issues: first - and most importantly - the 'standard' rooms are not all equal. The first room we were put in was small and basic and a twin despite us having requested a double bed. We complained and they 'upgraded' us to a 'standard' room which was bigger with a double bed on a higher floor. So, if you book a 'standard' room you could end up with a small twin. The second issue is related to this: they don't seem to take their Expedia VIP status seriously. I really had to push for a better room. To their credit, they did deliver it. But I felt like they were doing us a big favour. The third issue is the distinct lack of welcome when you arrive. A small point, but reception really doesn't seem to care. (When we arrived they.offeted a welcome drink which never arrived). No one offers to assist with you bags. Basically, you're on your own. All of that said, the location is fantastic.and the rooms are warm and clean. The room staff are exceptional and make up somewhat for the reception staff. Breakfast is standard Turkish and crowded. But overall, a pleasant stay in a clean, functional hotel.

We spent a few hours here on a layover in Istanbul. The location is fantastic with Blue Mosque right outside your window. While we were allowed to check-in when we arrived at 8a, we had to pay extra to check in early though, even though there was an empty room. The power also did not work when we arrived, but was back on after a quick walk through the square. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace is a great experience.
