I had to stay here because my flight was overbooked, so I received compensation from Turkish Airlines. The check-in was fast. The room size is perfect, and the beds were comfortable. I tried to call the room service that night for a long time. It is either a busy line, or they pick up and no response from their side. I even hear them talking to each other. I called the front desk, and the person who answered the phone was rude and spoke English poorly. I tried to explain the issue, contacting the room service. His reply was "I'm not room service. Call room service ”. I tried to call room service again, but the call was picked up by another rude employee. He was speaking in an aggressive tone and even hung up the phone while I was talking. After a while, a polite employee took my order. When I received the order, the employee who brought it was carrying the plates, three big plates with a tray and not covered. The food was cold, and the drink was in his pockets. The order came without cutlery, after a while. He came again with the cutlery. The hotel's location is far from the city center and its attractions. For me, I didn't mind that, as my stay wasn't intended to visit Istanbul .

Serenity Comfort Hotel Istanbul Turkish Air put us up here overnight owing to a missed connecting flight. Transfer 25 km from and to the IST airport went smoothly. Hotel seemed empty (except for the two dozen Turkish Air passengers) but breakfast was busy with lots more. Weird experience with our room door: opened fine on check-in but trouble thereafter — we had the key reset of course, but we’re still locked out so the hotel technician needed to “fix the problem”. He arrived with electric drill and tool bag, inspected the door (room 311), tried several different cards. Then he “fixed the problem” by tapping the card, leaning hard on the door handle, then shoving his body against the door to open. “Fixed: you try!” My first few tries were not beefy enough to pop open the door. But when I really shoved my hip against the door it finally opened. Problem solved? Hip sore. Odd that TripAdvisor designated it as 2025 Travelers Choice Award (see photo). It materially altered my hotel experience to visit the TA site and inspect the data on which this designation was based.
