The Westist Hotel & Spa in Istanbul

Great, clean, and cozy hotel in one of Istanbul’s best locations. The staff is incredibly attentive and always goes above and beyond to fulfill every request. Definitely worth coming back to – highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful stay, we were more than looked after, we felt at home and were treated like family, in the best possible way, I can’t recommend this hotel more! Location is excellent, the restaurant next door is wonderful, we used the sauna and had many incredible massages, the spa team are also incredible and you can enjoy every day without a worry. Our room was perfect, massive bed and extremely comfortable.

my boyfriend and i came for turkish bath and it's amazing :) They took great care of us and everything is clean and neat. We have a great time relaxing at the sauna. Then they took us to a bathroom with heated marble stone. The ladies cleanse us so well and it's a very fun experience for both of us. They gave us tea/coffee at the end too and we had a good time

I’m rating this according to the fact that this is a 3-star hotel. The location of the hotel is very very central. It derives from Istiklal street. It’s close to museums, restaurants, and the metro. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming and the check-in was smooth. The room is an average size and enough for a short stay. There is no wardrobe, but there are hangers (as you can see in the photo). The room was clean and comfortable. The AC was quite strong and cooled the room in minutes. In the bathroom, they put all kind of toiletries of high quality which smelled good 👍🏻 About the noise, yes there is a noise but for me the street noise was not the issue. Actually the real noise comes from inside the hotel. Early around 8 or 9 a.m, the room service cleaners gather to clean the empty rooms and they were chitchatting in a loud voice through the whole time so in the morning it can be disturbing and you would be unlucky if the room next to you has checked out and it is getting cleaned. Other than that, the sound isolation of the rooms was enough to keep the street sounds out. Overall, the experience was good and I recommend the hotel 👏

The room was a bit small but modern and the hotel has such a postive vibe! The hotel itself is very clean and the courtesy of the staff is unmatched for the standards we had in Istanbul. Very central location, near taksim square, 3 min walk to Shishane metro station and 5 walking minutes to Galata tower. We loved this hotel it was a little gem! We liked the sauna and hammam for guests and I wish I had time to try the massage service. The room has everything you need for your stay even if it's a little small! It has dryer, shampoo and conditioner, cotton buds, shower cap, slippers and if you need the ironing board they will provide it for you. Air conditioning was perfect and international tv channels.
Coffee and tea and also water. Also the little funny messages to reuse the towels or the ones on the shampoo dispenser made me giggle :D
I really loved this hotel and definitely will be back!!

CONS:
I'm really sorry to say that but the room service is just terrible. We ordered food twice : shawarma with rice was completely tasteless, the chicken was not fresh and seemed boiled more than grilled. Didn't even finish it although very hungry. The spicy chicken pizza the first time was ok. The second time we ordered it was just not edible: not fresh, not good, smelled weird and on top of this I think it fell from the delivery guy and it was a mess all the toppings were at the corner of the box.(see picture)
Fortunately the reception handled it very well and sent us another one but the new one was just as bad. It was definitely not fresh. The worst room service l've ever had.
I would suggest the hotel to just not deal with the company "PAPYON room service". It was really disappointing.
Also 2 notes about the room cleaning: the first day just as we arrived in the bathroom there was the tissue box with just one tissue and inside there were USED PLASTERS probably from the previous guests. It was disgusting I brought the box to the reception as proof and the receptionist apologized deeply. Second thing the cleaning lady was extremely loud in front of our room laughing and talking loudly in the early hours of the morning (8 am-10 am).
Last thing I didn't particularly like was the "double bed". They don't have a double bed they just stick together 2 singles. The thing is that the singles split while sleeping if you tend to move to the center of it and it's very uncomfortable. The beds themselves are very comfy but putting 2 beds together that constantly split is not the best, at least they should not be moving.
Despite all of this my general impression about this hotel didn't change, I would love to come back soon and would suggest to give this hotel a try!!! Staff is really great and attentive and the hotel itself is really good and clean!

I booked this hotel last minute after being in disgust with my first hotel. I stayed a total of 13 days! This is a very practical hotel for a long term stay, on a budget! The rooms are rather small but i was alone so no issue . Due to the location, it can be quite noisy at night , as the rooms don’t have the best sound proofing.But every single store imaginable is in walking distance which i found very convenient because i came to IST to have surgery and during recovery I needed this proximity .I am not quite sure about the breakfast situation , but i was told i had to be pre ordered the night before (which is not idea). i ended up eating at another restaurant every day and getting groceries for my room. I do understand this is a 3 star hotel and my expectations should be based upon that and also I am in Turkey not USA . Overall the staff is nice , Mustafa and the other reception girl were kind. I like how readily available help is through what’s app. The room cleaning can use huge improvements, the level of detail is not there . The girls were nice and i made sure to leave a tip but my biggest complaint is the lack of detail. Also the staff (including the restaurant staff) should not all gather in front for their smoke breaks; 1. It’s not professional and 2. For non smokers , it really makes entering the hotel unpleasant .It’s not a luxurious holiday hotel but it’s a good practical family owned style hotel!
