Reviews
First off: our travel dates were December 1st to 8th, 2025, so not peak season. We paid around €700 for this period, which I think is quite a lot. I relied heavily on the reviews from Booking.com and Google Maps. However, I can't agree with any of them.
We had a standard room with a double bed.
First, what we liked: The hotel's location is really excellent. You go outside, turn left, and you're right on the shopping arcade and very close to Taksim Square. The hotel staff was very friendly, and they even gave us a different room after we complained. The bed was quite good and comfortable.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
Now for the negatives:
The clientele staying there is extremely inconsiderate. Anyone looking for peace and quiet will be disappointed. Until 3 a.m., doors were slammed and loud shouts were heard down the hallway. Since the doors close automatically, it's understandable that it can be a bit noisy, but I don't understand why people can't be more considerate. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed. You can hear absolutely everything. Unfortunately, the windows aren't soundproofed at all, so you can hear the pigeons coughing. Cleaning the rooms starts promptly at 8 a.m. I understand that everyone has to do their job, but 8 a.m. is really tough. Especially when you can't sleep until 4 a.m. because people are extremely loud. The hallway door is the final straw, by the way, when it slams shut.
The hygiene in the shower wasn't the best either. I think for the price we paid, you can expect at least a little bit. The water in the shower kept cutting out. I think that was because we were on the fourth floor. The entire shower fixture really needs replacing.
All in all, we were very dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.
On the positive side, the staff were very kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay.
Coffee and tea and also water. Also the little funny messages to reuse the towels or the ones on the shampoo dispenser made me giggle :D
I really loved this hotel and definitely will be back!!
A big thanks to Mustafa ( great guy, always smiling and helpful!), Sinem (warmest welcome and she made sure everything was ok at the check in and check out) and Murat (incredibly nice at our sauna experience, very very helpful and accommodating!).
You're all great. Can't wait to be back!
CONS:
I'm really sorry to say that but the room service is just terrible. We ordered food twice : shawarma with rice was completely tasteless, the chicken was not fresh and seemed boiled more than grilled. Didn't even finish it although very hungry. The spicy chicken pizza the first time was ok. The second time we ordered it was just not edible: not fresh, not good, smelled weird and on top of this I think it fell from the delivery guy and it was a mess all the toppings were at the corner of the box.(see picture)
Fortunately the reception handled it very well and sent us another one but the new one was just as bad. It was definitely not fresh. The worst room service l've ever had.
I would suggest the hotel to just not deal with the company "PAPYON room service". It was really disappointing.
Also 2 notes about the room cleaning: the first day just as we arrived in the bathroom there was the tissue box with just one tissue and inside there were USED PLASTERS probably from the previous guests. It was disgusting I brought the box to the reception as proof and the receptionist apologized deeply. Second thing the cleaning lady was extremely loud in front of our room laughing and talking loudly in the early hours of the morning (8 am-10 am).
Last thing I didn't particularly like was the "double bed". They don't have a double bed they just stick together 2 singles. The thing is that the singles split while sleeping if you tend to move to the center of it and it's very uncomfortable. The beds themselves are very comfy but putting 2 beds together that constantly split is not the best, at least they should not be moving.
Despite all of this my general impression about this hotel didn't change, I would love to come back soon and would suggest to give this hotel a try!!! Staff is really great and attentive and the hotel itself is really good and clean!
