We have stayed in February 2024 at the Orka Taksim hotel which is located in a nice and vibrant neighborhood. Our room 601 is beautiful, spacious and has a French balcony with nice table and chairs. Our bathroom is clean and complete. Our bed is so comfy and really inviting! There are many cafe's and restaurants and mini markets where you can buy your daily needs near Orka Taksim hotel. When you're heading to Taksim square (1,2 km hills up from Orka htl) you will find the shopping street with all international brands and outlets. Also the famous red tram is here at Taksim square to find. At night the bustling atmosphere is everywhere at Taksim square. You will find lots of local snacks vendors and many cafe's! Taste the famous Turkish kebab or kofte, a local deli! Disliked · The steep hills to reach Orka Taksim hotel. The breakfast buffet is below average to standard international 3 star hotel. Breakfast offers too few variations, very limited bread types, taste leaves much to be desired and often the same every day. The Turkish dishes are not indicated as to what they are. Croissants are missing from the selection, but if you still want croissants, this will be charged separately! The coffee on the buffet is really ditch water, if you want a really good coffee you have to pay for it separately. The tables in the breakfast room are too close together, making it so crampy to walk between them. A positive part of the breakfast are the employees in the breakfast room. They are nice and helpful (not all of them!).

The location of this hotel is very good and within reach of transport and shopping. The hotel facilities are very good and the staff are very helpful, friendly and approachable. Emir was excellent and helped me with advice on how to get around certain parts of Istanbul. I’d recommend this hotel and certainly will be staying again very soon.

What a horrible experience this hotel has provided. Their pictures mislead you, their amenities they claim to have are non existent and their breakfast and staff you have to argue with to get what you need. We got told off because our 10 month old was making a mess when she was eating…..SHES A BABY. When things got so bad and we wanted to leave the reservation team refused to provide a refund or even a partial refund so we can relocate It’s been a very stressful few days until they finally upgraded us to a suite to compensate for all the misleading and issues.

The hotel team is incredibly thoughtful - they saw we were traveling with kids and offered a free room upgrade to better accommodate everyone 😊 We arrived at the hotel pretty early around 11am and most of our rooms were already ready despite being before check-in time. The rooms are clean and super comfy! The breakfast spread is great, with a mix of hot foods and cold cuts. The area is filled with cute coffee shops and local artisanal products. There’s a grocery store and fruit shop along the road too. It’s a pleasant 10-minute walk to Istiklal Avenue. Walking to the Tophane tram station is through a hillier area and takes about 15 minutes (quicker if you take a route with stairs but we had a stroller). Lovely stay at Orka, will definitely stay here again!

That hotel is a scam, mold in the bathroom, no air conditioning, leaking toilet, broken mirrors. The pictures of the Hotel does not correspond to reality at all. It’s really dirty. We left and asked for a refund but the owner refused. RUN AWAY

We paid for superior twin room with city or garden view and we got a room on the first floor with big wall in front of the windows and between the wall and window they had few pots of flowers (that was the garden??) It felt like we are in jail. Room smells .Smoking everywhere. Bathroom and Shower veri small. Beds not komftable at all.This is not 4 star hotel.I will not give tmem even 2

A clean and pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and the hotel offers. Good value. As well, conveniently located in the old town. Lastly, the breakfast buffet is generous. Recommend it should you be planning on spending time in that part of the lovely and intriguing city of Istanbul!

The staff is very nice and professional, me and my sister arrived on the last two days of Eid el Fiter so we got a room that we didn't like that much so next day we asked to change it to a different one and they did. And they gave us an option to choose a different room if we didn't like it. The hotel is very close to Isteklal street and the neighborhood is very nice and beautiful there is a bakery nearby and supermarket and vegetable and fruit store. An excellent coffee place called Gramaj and a tea store in front of the hotel. The cleaning stuff cleaned well. Especially Salih. The receptionist Zahra and her colleague were awesome and professional. Would come back again for sure
