We returned after a year for a longer stay to relive this magical place, with its family history etched in every detail. The house is surrounded by a charming garden, where countless conversations take place over a cup of tea. Sincere appreciation to the owner, who has created an extraordinary place filled with kindness and warmth.

I highly recommend this hotel, it was my favourite stay during my time in Istanbul. The building is so beautiful and peaceful, yet the location is very convenient for assessing Uskudar port and therefore the rest of Istanbul. Vedat, Gulsah and the rest of the team treated me and the other guests as family, and I felt taken take of throughout my stay. They are very accommodating of requests and always available to help out. I am very much looking forward to my next stay there :)

The hotel is a three-storey house, coupled with a cafe outside (where the tastiest breakfast is served (thanks!)). My room was very nice, thought through, I really liked the oldish appearance of the house itself and the design of the room, wooden furniture and huge windows. Since the room was on the first floor and the windows were facing the cafe, it was a little noisy in the evenings, and I needed to pull down the curtains as well. The room had all the listed appliances (incl. a small fridge and a kettle) but I lacked a table, however I guess the room size does not allow for it. The main advantage for me was the location: I really love that district, walked around it a lot. There are two very pleasant parks that descend to Bosphorus (going down the slope is pretty easy), and there is Üsküdar dock nearby if you want to get to other parts of the city by ferry. The metro station is ±8-10 min away and there are shops and local restaurants around.

What a Wonderful host, Gulsar who looked after me. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and is filled with historical furnishings and kept in a spotless condition. Following checking in and whilst recovering following surgery, to checking out, all staff were very helpful and accommodating and when I was not able to physically get to the beautiful cafe on site, their staff brought the food to me. You won't be disappointed.

She was unwilling to even comp our dinner for the inconvenience. She was very unorganized and inconsiderate. Ultimately, I went up to the room to pack and found email confirmation that we were in the correct room. This made for a very stressful experience. I am an MD and have travelled all over the world. This was the worst experience with a host that I can recall.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was very nicely presented and delicious. The furnishings and decorations were very interesting. The house was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. It's a historic house that opens up to a lovely garden and a cute little coffee house with indoor and outdoor seating. The grocery store is about a 3-minute walk and the Metro was a 10-minute walk. Perfect for a couple but may be a tight space for a family. Shampoo and shower gel are available and complimentary coffee and water. We felt safe in the neighborhood. The area around the house is hilly so you may be walking uphill in many areas. However, the owners have a lot of information about the area and will give you recommendations and the best ways to get around. They can even help you with a taxi.

I cannot say enough good about this beautiful hotel! The owner was gracious to meet me at the front gate when I arrived at 1 am. Great room, comfortable bed, wonderful bath and shower. Great restaurant and staff, highly recommend this place!! It is a short walk to bus and metro.
