Guests frequently praise the hotel's superb location within walking distance to Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. The rooftop terrace offering breakfast with stunning views of the Bosphorus and city skyline is a highlight mentioned in multiple reviews. Rooms are noted for their cleanliness and comfort, with daily housekeeping, fresh towels, and replenished toiletries. Friendly and helpful staff receive consistent commendations for attentive service and personalized recommendations. Sea-view rooms on higher floors with balconies provide spacious accommodations and beautiful vistas. Some guests mention poor soundproofing, especially in lower-floor rooms, leading to difficulty sleeping due to street noise and neighborhood bars staying open late. The air conditioning unit is reported to be somewhat noisy and lacks a remote control, which may inconvenience some guests. One review notes limited room service, mainly limited to bed-making and towel changes, rather than full daily cleaning. A few rooms on the ground floor are described as small compared to upper floors.

Location is super, within several minutes walk to Sultanahmet Square at the same time on a very nice quiet street. The room had 3 windows, clean, tea pot provided, comfortable matrass, rather big shower cabin, very clean, towels changed daily, bottle of water provided every 2 days as compliment. Breakfasts were served at a terrace with splendid view to the sea! Food fresh and tasty. Very friendly and helpful personnel at reception. I would stay again in this hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located, close to the Hippodrome, Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and other monuments. The rooms are clean and bright. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the Bosphorus and the city. The staff is attentive and friendly. We would be happy to stay here again on our next trip.

We were given a room on the top floor, which was a great place with a view of the ocean.
The bus stop from the airport was nearby, so it was easy to get around.
The Blue Mosque was right nearby, which was great for sightseeing.

The bars in the neighborhood where the hotel is located stay open very late, until around 1:30 a.m. The soundproofing in the room is also very poor; even with the windows closed, you can still hear the noise from the street, making it impossible to sleep well.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and were extremely pleased with our choice. When selecting a hotel, I looked at numerous options in the same price range and ultimately settled on Aren Suites.

The hotel is exceptionally clean – truly spotless. Housekeeping service was thorough every day, not just emptying bins and changing towels. Shampoo, shower gel, and soap were replenished daily in the room, and towels were changed every day. A hairdryer and minibar were also provided. The bathroom ventilation seemed excellent; everything dried quickly, and there was no dampness or mold whatsoever. While the furniture wasn't brand new, it didn't feel worn out or shabby – everything was tidy and in good working order. The air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us; there was no remote control, as it was operated via a panel on the wall.

The hotel's location is superb. We were just a few minutes' walk from Sultanahmet Square, and the tram stop was a leisurely 10-15 minute walk across the square.

Breakfast was a small buffet, offering four hot options: eggs (scrambled or fried with vegetables/mushrooms/potatoes), sausages in tomato sauce, and potatoes or vegetables. The hot food was always kept warm, no matter when we came down for breakfast. Additionally, there were salads, fresh vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers), muesli/cereals, bread, fresh and tasty pastries, simit (a type of Turkish bagel), jams, butter, individual portions of chocolate spread, and cold cuts including sausage and two types of cheese. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee (from a drip coffee maker) were also available – all standard offerings. The view from the breakfast terrace was absolutely stunning! Perfect for leisurely and delicious breakfasts.

The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the four pillows provided. We had booked a sea-view room on floors 4-5 and requested a higher floor when making the reservation. Our request was granted, and we were assigned room 501, which was quite spacious (matching the description online), featured a French balcony, and offered a beautiful sea view. I would open the balcony door, pull up a chair, and just sit there, admiring the view and watching the seagulls. Overall, if you have the option, definitely choose a sea-view room – you won't regret it!

The hotel has an elevator, but access to the terrace is via stairs from the fifth floor. Previous reviews mentioned a resident cat joining guests for breakfast. Indeed, there is a cat at the hotel, but the reception staff prevents it from using the elevator, and the stairwell door is kept closed (to stop the cat). So, the cat stays in the ground floor lobby – just in case that's important for anyone.

The staff were friendly. On our first day, we arrived late, and they recommended a nearby restaurant called Marbella Terrace. It wasn't cheap, but we really enjoyed it and ended up dining there two more times. It's a very intimate and charming spot. The street itself is generally quiet, with everything quieting down around midnight. We had a late evening flight and wanted to extend our stay in the room. They offered us a different room, number 202, which gave us the opportunity to see another room category – it was equally clean. We were very satisfied with our choice of hotel. The rooms matched the photos on the website. On the terrace, there are two tables in the shade, with others out in the sun. There's also a covered section of the terrace with tables, offering an equally fantastic view.

Centrally located, just five minutes away from The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia.

Breakfast is served on the Hotel terrace which has beautiful views of the city and the sea.

Very friendly and efficient staff, who make sure that you are always taken care of. Special thanks to the gentlemen at the reception- Mr Izzet, Mr Ismail, Mr Selim and Mr Mehmet; more special thanks go to the ladies who took care of our rooms and breakfast - Ms Nilüfer, Ms Aylin, Ms Emine and Ms Musgan.

Thank you for making our stay in Istanbul a wonderful one!

lovely little hotel

Excellent location close to Sultanahmet

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast on the terrace with wonderful views.

Rooms on the ground floor are very small. Rooms in floor 2 to 5 are much bigger and nicer.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel from January 5 until January 18, 2025.
We had a nice stay. The hotel was very clean, and our room was very nice, bright, and had the ocean view. All staff (including front desk, housekeeping, kitchen, and the management) were professional and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay at the Old Town of Istanbul.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.

The location was perfect, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Highly recommended – I will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at this hotel with my father for 7 days. The location is impeccable. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the hippodrome and it was really worth it. The breakfast was also very good and varied and the view was just wonderful. But the best part of this hotel was its kind, professional and friendly staff. Everyone, from the ladies who prepared breakfast, to the house keepers, to the receptionists, were all extremely warm and friendly. Mr. Mesut, the manager was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of good guidance on what to do and see. He was really polite, kind nad professional. I can't say enough about how welcome him and his team made us feel. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will do our best to book a room with them again. 5 stars.
