Grand Rosa Hotel in Istanbul

Okay, so I want to start this off by saying that I have no hate toward the owner or the guy at the front desk. He is a very kind and friendly person, even despite the language barrier.

That said, I can't honestly recommend this hotel. It was a very disappointing experience. Not only could we hear construction noise from our room, but the toilet flush button was literally broken. Even though the furniture is nice, the hotel itself is very small, and so are the rooms.

I really wish I had booked a nicer hotel for the same price. In my opinion, this hotel is not suitable for tourists.

I have been many times before to this hotel, but this time (Oct 2025) will be my last time. Room service became very bad, like even for toilet paper they don't bring it daily, you have to ask for it everyday! Also the rooms are not clean.. Even room service they don't clean it much.
Also breakfast is getting very poor.
Quality of the room is very degraddated compared to before.
The only good thing about it now is its location, but there are many other better options nearby.

Without renovation and better service, I think this hotel won't survive a lot in future.

The hotel is close to all sites, it has a perfect location.
All staff was very friendly and helpful except the young blond receptionist lady, who refused to tell us her name and was not wearing a name tag. She was very rude, threw at us the key card. Instead of helping us to get around in Istanbul with public transportation she kept offering to us overpriced private tours. When we complained about this, she deleted our reservation on Booking, so we couldn't leave a review on Booking. She blaimed a new colleague that deleted our reservation, but it turned out that there was no new colleague, so she lied to us. We had to call the hotel manager to calm her down. She was very disrespectful and harsh. Last morning we didn't get our breakfast, that we paid for. But the way she told this to us is unacceptable. This way you don't talk to a hotel guest. For this reason we do not recommend this hotel to anybody.
One more time: she deleted our booking, so we are not able to make a review and give a direct feedback on Booking.
