Relax Beach Hotel in Alanya

Worst experience ever!!

Hotel rooms have bedbugs and cockroaches which was recorded on video. Had to switch rooms two times before getting a room that had just been left and didn’t have bedbugs.

Manager denied there was a problem until we asked whether he wanted to see the videos before publicing the videos.

Other guests also complained about bedbugs and a staff member told me that 220 out of 330 rooms have bedbugs.

Buffet was horrible, the same old, yellow mozzarella was put out on the buffet every day. At the egg station there was either fried eggs or omelet, but on the days with fried eggs you couldn’t get omeletts (guess the cook had forgotten the recipe.) So tired of chicken after just one week at this hotel!

I booked a session the last day at the hotel spa but when I came the price had doubled and they couldn’t do the treatment until the next day. (The one who got a treatment got her ribs bent)

One of the guests had put a towel on the sun bed and when he got back someone had shit on the sun bed under the towel and put the towel back in place. The hotel claimed it had been a cat (very huge cat and clever to be able to replace the towel).

Very loud music in the evening and in general there are alot of Russians who doesn’t know how a line works and just cut in front of the line - the hotel accepts this because the staff speaks better Russian than English.

Not even Monty Pythons could have thought of this in Fawlty Towers.

We had chickpeas every single day, pasta with ketchup, and meat that nobody eats because it’s basically scraps. The food was like something from a soup kitchen for the poor. During the day, apart from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there was nothing else to eat. The food was regularly reheated. Whatever was left from breakfast was served again for lunch and dinner, and vice versa, they would just sprinkle some basil or something on top to make it look new.

The staff doesn’t know a word of English, not even the basics, so if you need anything you can only try in Turkish or by piecing words together. The sea is clean and beautiful, but the beach is not maintained at all. The umbrellas are ancient and filthy, and the sunbeds are broken. Terrible.

Also, there is a beach bar, but everything there has to be paid for, a single beer costs 4 euros. You are not allowed to bring your own food to the beach. If you come here, be prepared to spend money in restaurants so you don’t end up hungry. Rooms are tiny and not that clean.

Watch out for the elevators, they’re really old, and the doors barely close. Luckily, we were on the second floor so we just used the stairs. The bathroom doesn’t even have a proper ceiling, so you can hear when people in other rooms are showering. The pools are small and dirty, with only about 20 sunbeds for 500 people. To get a bottle of water, you have to chase down the cleaners, and the vending machines are often empty, while the tap water is not drinkable.

The food selection is terrible. We’re not picky and we weren’t expecting anything special, but the food here is awful. It’s impossible to eat the same thing every single day. Everything is stale. We thought at least the fries would be okay, but even they tasted like they’d been sitting for three days and just reheated. There’s no cutlery on the tables, they often forget to put it out, so you have to run around looking for utensils if you actually want to eat any of that disgusting food.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! NEEDS NEW MANAGMENT OR CLOSING DOWN ‼️

We have been to a few hotels over the years, 4 and 5 star rated, this is absolutely no way a 4 star hotel this is Horrendous, I don’t even now how their allowed to serve food. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody, it’s the worst i have ever stepped foot in.

The rooms where clean, but sewage kept smelling throughout the cleaners for the rooms where lovely. The mattress wasn’t the cleanest and smelled like fags. the bunk bed steps padding come off and cut our daughters foot, and also where she moved in the night she cut her arm open on the material peeling. The maintenance in this place is a disaster,

Restaurant staff where rude, requested certain foods due to allergies and they couldn’t care less, “staff member all my food allergy free” no it was not I even google translated and staff member laughed and said all my food is good. The food looked like sick and worst thing is, you can smell it through out lingering.

Poor hygiene all around the restaurant, BBQ area and the bar. They don’t actually scrub the bbq area they just spray it, and whose pipe it down, and while they do that there are still chips or whatever food has been served up all over the floor probably entering the pool. All the greasy water gets washed down just imagine that bits that go over the drains and enter the pool.

The slides ain’t on very often, and the entertainment doesn’t last very long. They pick and choose who to invite to the entertainment.

This should have been a memorable holiday for us, but it’s was nothing but stress! From entering the hotel, to the lifts kept having a scan icon coming up, it’s not disabled friendly at all and neither are the staff.

bar staff don’t wash their hands after touching bins and straight to pouring cans, while cleaning tables they just use a damp cloth that had food spillages on goes on multiple tables!

The men’s smells disgusting, could be cleaned more, and use a stronger smelling product.

The juice machines are watered down!
