Tolenza Hotel in Alanya

After seeing so many good reviews about this hotel, I never thought our stay would turn out so badly. We arrived at the hotel on August 5th, 2025. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed that the floors hadn’t been cleaned. There was even a lot of sand in the shower. I’m not picky when it comes to hotels, so I didn’t pay much attention to it.
However, other travelers who arrived with us by bus found their room completely messy, as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. Another thing I didn’t like was the food. The selection was poor, and the food didn’t look appetizing. It didn’t taste good either. The drinks were watered down — though I assume that’s the case in many all-inclusive hotels in Turkey. I was mentally prepared that this wouldn’t be a luxury stay, so I wasn’t expecting restaurant-quality meals.
But the worst part came on the second day of our stay. After the bar closed, we saw the staff cleaning the floors using water from the pool. Yes — they were dipping mops into the swimming pool and then mopping the floors. That same evening, I saw a child vomiting. Later that night, both my partner and I began experiencing severe digestive issues. We had to go to the hospital. My partner started feeling better after the first hospital visit, but I had to be transferred to a larger hospital, where I spent two days. I felt absolutely terrible.
It’s been more than a week since the first symptoms appeared, but we’re still occasionally experiencing diarrhea and an overall feeling that something isn’t right. I don’t know exactly what we caught, but I’m sure the hotel was to blame. We didn’t eat anywhere else, and we didn’t drink any tap water — we were very careful about that. Still, it didn’t help. The fact that we weren’t the only ones to get sick, combined with the lack of hygiene in the hotel, says a lot.
Even the food wasn’t covered, and in such heat — with insects flying around — that’s absolutely not safe or hygienic. This was our first time in Turkey, and we’ve decided never to return, as the experience was traumatic. When the hotel staff found out we had gone to the hospital, they claimed that no one had previously complained about digestive issues — but it’s hard to believe that when we ourselves saw someone vomiting by the pool.
I don’t know exactly what caused the food poisoning, but I suspect it was spoiled food or drinks made with contaminated water. I understand this review might not stop you from going to this hotel, but I truly hope you don’t end up having the same experience we did. We didn’t have a holiday — we just ruined our digestive systems.

It was not a good experiences for us. Firstly I want to tell about bad sides of the hotel. The meals were very cheap and didn't delicious any. We didn't find any good foods of any time. There weren't whiskey and tequila at the bar. Just vodka, gin, wine, beer, coffee and tea. There weren't lobby bar or beach bar of the hotel. They didn't give towels. They didn't change our room towels when we were in the hotel in three days. The waitress wanted tips from us for bring a tea when we had breakfast. Our check out day our bus were 9 pm and we wanted to stay hotel until this time but reception head chef didn't allowed for it and he got money from us. Btw we went another hotels for trip in this year which are hurghada and Kuşadası and we were stayed at these hotels at midnight and they didn't get any money for it because of the guests happiness but in the hotel hedef Kleopatra just thinks money. There is no animation team in the hotel when we were there just dj doruk were come and he was great and cared our happiness first of everything. Maybe the just one good point if this hotel was him. To sum up I would never stay in hedef hotels and I cannot recommend this hotel

This hotel treated earthquake victims badly. They didn't allocate normal rooms but personnel dorms, plus didn't provide heating in February! All good people of the world, avoid this place!
