Remi Hotel in Alanya

HORROR HOTEL! Don’t book it!! This is DEFINITELY NOT a 4-star hotel! It’s more accurate to call it ‘Horror Hotel’. I was staying at this hotel with my two friends during the autumn break and we have NEVER tried anything SO bad before. The hotel gave us an unclean room with mold and a toilet that didn’t work!(See pictures). Therefore, we had to go to the reception every time we had to use a toilet. It was awful! We booked this hotel through Expedia and contacted them as soon as we got our “horror” room. We wanted some of our money back so we could check out, find a new hotel and have a nice vacation but the hotel refused to talk to Expedia (and us) and kept postponing our inquiry. They claimed that none of them could speak English, which was a lie because we talked to several of the people working there - in English! I even spoke German with a few staff members but they kept refusing to talk to Expedia and they didn’t even bother picking up the phone when Expedia tried to contact them. It was the most awful and depressing travel experience any of us have ever had. Expedia didn’t do anything about the situation either and we felt stuck and scammed.
On top of this awful experience there was a staff member who kept harassing my friend and make a move on her. He wrote her name on his hand and kept flirting with her the whole time we were there. She felt unsafe and was afraid to go past the reception…

Its 2* stars, not 4* stars hotel!! I was unaware that Remi hotel belongs to the Kleopatra group To take a bath in scalding or cold water, you cannot adjust it. Horrible food, just chicken, in 10 days 2x fish and of course chicken. Sometimes they even use leftover chicken from the day before, shred it and mix it with rice and to go with... chicken!!!!. I know the Kleopatra group doesn't have good food, but this was the worst hotel in the group. To take a shower, only boiling or cold water, you cannot control the temperature. The rod that supports the shower curtain (yes, a very old curtain) was loose, so it wouldn't fall, they had a plastic bag tied to it. Bed linen, just a sheet underneath, the top sheet doesn't exist, just a blanket to cover up. In 10 days they never put clean bedding. Friendly staff, shame they don't speak even basic English. Good location, in town and near beach..

Second time in this hotel and the last. The room was in a desperate state. Everything is old and unmaintained. The only good thing is that it was big. Wi-fi in the room was ok and it was for free. The bedding was not changed even once in 10 days. The room has not been cleaned once, except that the floor has been mopped 3 times. The food was ok, but quite repetitive. A small selection of fruit. The staff is very friendly. The hotel does not deserve more than 2 stars.
