Kleopatra Melissa Hotel in Alanya

There is a first time for everything.. Eh.. and this is the first time we have ended up in such a terrible hotel, although we really love 3*... Shock from the fact that there is no bottled water either in the room or in the bar. Only pour it into a glass or a bottle. The so-called juice, orange juice, is more like Yupi.. it stains the bottles and the smell is absorbed, which cannot be washed off... You are given 1.5 hours for food 3 times a day. If you don't have time - your problems. The food is disgusting.. This is the first time I see that our children lick their plates clean on excursions, and do not eat in the dining room. Today is our 5th day.. and we still haven't seen the cleaning.. although I emptied the ashtray once and they took the second key, and my friends' safe was blocked, because it turned out that it is paid. Non-alcoholic mojito in the bar for 15 euros... Well, at least beer, vodka, wine are given out until 22.

Room was a poor standard for the price we paid. Food the same every night with not much choice. No snacks included in the all inclusive option only breakfast lunch and dinner. Reps are very pushy, one came over pestering whilst we were eating. I was travelling with my son who is type 1 diabetic, asked for a diet coke and was given normal coke, luckily i tested it as he could have ended up in hospital. They stop serving drinks at 10 to 11 at night, which wouldnt be a problem if there was a kettle in the rooms. Pool is only open 10-6 in peak summertime. I've been alanya many times and would not stay at this hotel again. It's a shame as it has a lot of potential as the location of it is great. Highly recommend yeniacun apartments around the corner or anahtar apartments.

Pros - The hotel is clean and for the most part acceptable. There were some unmet expectations but for the most part, our travel agency was to blame for it. The staff was nice overall. Cons - The wifi ... just horrible. You have to pay 2 euros per device and will still drop every 5 minutes. DO NOT come here if you need a steady wifi for work. The food is plenty but, quite bad the few exceptions are usually taken within minutes and not restocked. Advisable for hunger games fans. The gym ... what gym? There is a bar (One love reggae bar) next to the hotel and they will play loud music through the night. The beach isn't the cleanest either, both water and sand. This hasn't been the worst experience but still wouldn't repeat.

The hotel should be assessed in several categories:

1. Room - very good and looks like 4 stars, I was really surprised - I thought it will be a lower standard of the room with 3 stars

2. Bathroom - dirty and does not smell well. The towels were changing but they are old and even new are dirty. Not sure if the towels laundered or just moved to another room.

3. Reception - I'm fine with the people on the reception. They were communicative and I was able to obtain all needed information.

4. Wifi - On the ground zero - next to the reception and in lobby - for free. In the rooms - additionally paid - expensive.

5. Lobby - dirty. The tables were not cleaned for a whole night. Everything after night was cleaned about 8:30

6. Restaurant - The old man who is responsible for desks cleaning is the best - hard and good work. Dirty dishes were removed from the table very quickly. Very nice view from the restaurant to the beach and sea

7. Food in the restaurant - the food was not a variety. The one big minus is definitely available everyday watermelon and tulumba - each day the same. There were no more fruits and anything sweet - just watermelon and tulumba

8. Employees in the restaurant - they cannot speak English. It's a scandal - We were not able to ask about the food. About anything. The cold plate's employees are ok - even if they don't understand English they want to have any cooperation. Employees responsible for hot food is a one big drama. 9. Bar - for all-inclusive option only beer and something like vodka [but low percentage] with original Pepsi or the substitute of Fanta and Sprite. If the guest deliver an empty glass, they can use it once again and pour a beer, but during the purring, the beer touches the tap - during the pandemic it's really dangerous.

10. Localisation - close to the beach.

Only room and localisation is ok. I don't recommend this place - the main reason is employees - they look very tired and even do not try to be nice for a guests.

An employee of the hairdressing salon and spa salon accosted us every day while eating and persuading us for their services - it is irritating. If I want to, I will go, I don't need to be accosted and persuaded everyday
