Ananas Hotel in Alanya

I’ve been to Turkey five times, and never before have I experienced such a disappointing hotel. The food is cold, there are only three types of meat dishes in total, and the leftovers from lunch are served again for dinner. The food selection is very poor, and several guests became ill from it. The beach is rocky, and the staff are arrogant — no one smiles. I don’t usually write reviews, but I couldn’t stay silent this time. We were really looking forward to this holiday, and now we’re very disappointed.

Hotel in beautiful place, the views are breathtaking, pools are nice, but there the advantages are ending. The food is not very delicious and it’s easy to get poisoned, I heard that kitchen stuff do that on purpose and they give unfresh food, the personel don’t understand English they only can talk in Turkish and a little Russian, only person from stuff who is wort to talk to is animator Elif - young and nice woman who just love people and want to make people laugh.

Very strange situation happen and no action from management.

My mom arrived from the north, wearing warm clothes and winter shoes. Upon arrival, she placed her shoes in the closet, expecting not to need them due to the warm weather (25-30°C).

However, the initial room we were assigned was located directly above the hotel entrance, where transfer buses arrived continuously throughout the night. The buses idled with engines running for 10-15 minutes each time, filling the room with gasoline fumes and creating a lot of noice. Even with the windows closed, the noise was overwhelming. We had to go to the reception at 2 a.m. to ask if they could at least turn off the engines while waiting, but they didn't. Next day we requested to change the room, they changed it for an additional charge of 50 euros in cash. We moved to a new room, ensuring all our belongings were packed and taken with us and that room is empty.

On the last day, as my mom was packing, she discovered her winter shoes were missing—the same pair she wore upon arrival. We immediately reported this to reception, but they claimed no shoes were found. This leaves us with two possibilities: the shoes were either left in the first room (which housekeeping denies seeing) or went missing from the second room. Either way, this raises serious concerns about honesty and security in the hotel.

We are disappointed by the apparent loss of personal belongings. Management didn't even want to double check it with housekeepers and we had to insist. It’s unacceptable that such issues are treated so casually.

Upon arrival were offered a room accessible through a dark corridor, partially without any lighting, with inadequate cooling of about 35°C. We requested a change. We received a room that seemed to have proper cooling, but the beds were completely worn out and unusable (to illustrate: I preferred to make my bed on the floor, on the stone), and after a short time, the air conditioner started dripping heavily, soaking the bed. Naturally, we requested a third room, but they were unwilling to carry out the change until we threatened to involve the police. The third room seemed adequate for that night, but by the next morning, we encountered another horror: from 10 AM to 10 PM, loud music was constantly played by the pool, making it impossible to rest, as the room had no soundproofing.

On the third day, this room was also changed. By this point, we were waiting for what would come next with skepticism and a lack of trust, and indeed, the air conditioner in this room also started dripping within a day, requiring repairs. In summary, after the mentioned repairs, the fourth room functioned well on the fourth day.

- Despite the utmost care and eating exclusively at the hotel restaurant, both of us fell ill, and I had to receive urgent medical treatment.
- The hotel's beach was so filthy that I have never experienced anything like it anywhere. One day, for instance, I picked up a light bulb from the sand, but bandages and pieces of plastic were constantly present."
