Gulf Oasis Hotel Apartment in Dubai

I recently stayed at Gulf Oasis Hotel Apartments in Dubai, and my experience was quite mixed.

To start with the positives, the room itself was good and the pricing—though on the heavier side—felt fair for what they seemed to consider their standards. However, one immediate drawback was the extremely petite bathroom, which felt more suited for children than adults. It was far from comfortable to use.

Before arriving, I was promised “deep cleaning,” but what I actually witnessed was just basic surface-level cleaning. The most concerning aspect was their cleaning procedure. The housekeeping staff used the same mop for both the washroom and the apartment floor. When questioned, the cleaner simply said, “They ask us to do so,” though it was unclear who “they” referred to.

He mops the floor without any cleaning/sanitizing liquid, and when asked, said "it's heavy smell. Kid is there so not using". Can someone imagine doing a deep cleaning with just water and mop?

What surprised me even more was how linens were handled. The bathroom mat towel was taken away rolled together with the bed linens, and when I asked about it, I was told that’s how they wash everything—together.
Can someone imagine bathroom mat towels washed together with bed linens on which kids sleep and definitely they're not gonna wash it room-wise, which is again impossible for them.

After finishing what they termed “deep cleaning,” the cleaner placed the new bathroom mat towel inside the bathroom shelf and told us to put it out ourselves. Even when requested, he declined, saying, “It’s wet, I can’t put it now.

Overall, the cleaning practices here were unlike anything I’ve experienced anywhere else—and not in a good way. While the room was decent, the hygiene standards left me genuinely concerned. This stay offered several “firsts,” none of which I would hope to encounter again.
