I had a great stay at Lion’s Castle Hotel. They checked me in at 3 AM, which I really appreciated. Service was very good, and the breakfast was excellent — a bit rich, but delicious. Don’t miss the cheese pancakes in the morning or the borsch at dinner.
Rooms are large and comfortable, with heated bathroom floors and great shower pressure. Most of the staff were very good, and Oksana at the front desk was my favorite — friendly and extremely helpful.
Would gladly stay again

Even though the location looks nice you cant eat the meat as previous commenters mentioned. Salad was good but the service i really bad as they are very unfriendly and you cant rely on their word and they do what they want. Not a place for guests, only for the owners.

The hotel is really top notch and beautiful and in a high end neighborhood. Great and helpful staff. There's no elevator, but the staircase is finished in beautiful wood, as are the floors. Very nice living area with premium wallpaper. Bathrooms very nicely tiled and sparkling clean. Three flights of stairs.

Breakfast included but we had to leave before cafeteria opened at eight. A grab and go offering would be a nice touch.

A few shortcomings, maybe out of the control of the hotel or maybe in its control, is a very loud bass filled music venue next to the hotel or downstairs on the property, not sure. We stayed one night from Friday to Saturday morning. If you are a lighter sleeper, this may disappoint you if you are looking for a quiet night's sleep. The shower is lukewarm to warm. Hot water not quite available unfortunately.

My absolute favourite!

I am coming to Lviv for one week every other month or so and always stay at the Lion's Castle.

Room prices are very reasonable, rooms are great and tidy. Staff is as friendly as it gets and oh boy do I love the restaurant and room service here.

You really gotta try the cheesecake, risotto and of course the burger!

Highly recommend!

5 star review with no hesitation. Rooms are very clean , well organized with colorful walls .
Stuff are amazing that took my stress away . That is what is required in a vacation.

Note: in case you are very lazy to walk on stairs , there is no elevator .

Great looking place totally disappointing service. It started unfortunately since we book a table for 12 people but in result turned out there was 18 of us. Stuff was super unhappy to provide additional seats and tables stating that we booked for less. After 10 minutes they found smaller table to attach to main one. We ordered a beer and it came out 30 minutes later and it was wrong beer. Instead of immediately replacing and bringing the correct one waiter asked if we want another one as well. We refused. The preordered 6 salads were brought in during 1.5 hour. Potatoes with chanterelle were disaster, mushrooms were bitter and not edible. All other orders took no less then 30 minutes to be brought in. Highly overrated.

Beautiful surroundings - actually it is a part of the big park, historical building with nice terrace if the bar (drinks, few snacks and desserts only), friendly stuff, nice rooms with very comfortable beds. We stayed in newer building and there were minor disruptions in the room, like door lock not working properly and eaves has no side bar or stopper, so while we were opening a curtain to enjoy a nice view, the curtain just fell of the eaves.
But this is still a great place, I wish we found out about it earlier
