The building is beautiful, staff were pleasant, breakfast was tasty. One thing that needs to be changed is the beds! I can only describe them as ‘stone haphazardly wrapped with bubble wrap.’ So unbelievably uncomfortable, and the single pillow was also hard as stone.

Early check in was made available for us after contacting the hotel. Pillows/mattress in the room were extremely firm which wasn’t great but location and value for money was there from what we had paid.

Very close to Albert Dock, with the Beatles statue and Titanic Memorial right by the water. There's an M&S and Tesco nearby. Liverpool city center isn't very big, so it's entirely walkable.

liverpool match day changed and we ended up booking another night. great and an even more spacious room. the shampoo and body wash ran out and the staff brought extra to us promptly. great service! near the train station as well. convenient location for liverpool lfc fans.

The facilities are a bit old, but the location is great. It's right next to the subway and bus stations, and only a five to ten-minute walk to the shopping mall. There's also a small supermarket about a two-minute walk away. Overall, it's pretty good.

Good - Front desk were polite and helpful and helped us restock on tea and toilet roll Average - Room was OK, cleanish but a closer look the mattresses and other spots were very unclean. Outside windows haven't been cleaned in a while either. Bad - The room design had a weird AI pic as wallpaper. No plug in bathtub so shower was only option. The bed was supposed to be king yet it was 2 small mattresses...

..Perfect location-great base for exploring! The hotel is right in the heart of Liverpool city centre-a very short walk to Liverpool ONE, Albert Dock, the Royal Liver Building, museums, pubs, and restaurants.

It was a lovely stay but breakfast time was very hectic the layout was very different to other Hampton Hilton hotels which we’ve stayed in.

Hotel had provided basic needs. Bed comfortable, easy access to City centre. Breakfast was good, with nice variety of hot abd cold buffet options.

This is always my hotel of choice whenever I’m in Liverpool. I stay here regularly, and it never disappoints. The comfort, consistency, and overall experience keep me coming back every time. It truly feels like my home away from home.

I booked the cheapest plan, which was a double room, and since I was traveling alone, I had plenty of space. The front desk staff were all very kind and friendly. I stayed for two nights, and they even tidied up the room midway, so it was always clean. The breakfast buffet was also delicious, so it's a shame I couldn't have it on the second morning due to my flight schedule. I wish there had been slippers...

Rooms not facing the pier have very small windows, and some don't offer a river view. If a pier view isn't a priority, there are better options available.

Excellent location, short walk to city centre.  Used the Liner as watching Everton  match which was an easy 40 minute walk away.

Lovely hotel. Great location. Let us check in early. Only downside is it states on trip.com when I booked that kids have free breakfast but at the liner they said it wasn’t.

Great location within the city centre. Ask for a bedroom not facing Lime Street Station - otherwise you will hear all the train announcements.

The Liner is in a great location, staff were pleasant enough but had to queue to check in, room was adequate and clean although nothing special, plug socket was away from the wall on arrival however this was fixed promptly. Breakfast was adequate but would eat out if returning as there are better options locally.

Overall I had a comfortable stay, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and warm and had a good shower. The WiFi was a little slow at times but other than that I would definitely recommend. The location is central close to shops, bars, pubs and restaurants.

Have previously stayed in this hotel several times. We paid for a late check out but ended up having housekeeping knocking on our door and attempting to enter at 10am anyway 🙄. Our tv wasn’t working which go fixed quite promptly in fairness, our bed was rock hard though that we both woke up with sore backs. Not our usual standard of stay.

Bare and basic. The layout is is well-sign posted but the walks are lengthy to the room. We were in the last room and so it took probably 5 minutes to walk from reception. When inside the room, it was lacking any comforts. We were also next to a club playing music until well after midnight.

Never Again Accessibility: If you have the misfortune of being allocated a room on the 4th floor, prepare yourself for a journey. You must first take a lift to the first floor, walk along the corridor and navigate a set of stairs, then take another lift. Not exactly seamless. My partner and I stayed here 2 nights, for a concert. It’s no where near as close to the location as was said. Great value for money, lovely staff on reception, easy check in. Room seemed clean and everything you needed but they are small and you have to climb over each other to get out of bed. Beds are raised quite high too so don't fall out lol. Close to so some good bars and restaurants. Mattress poor quality you could feel the springs.

Can’t fault this place. £40 for a room in the city centre on a match day night is ridiculously cheap. Have your own bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Bedding was spotless - reception very helpful and friendly Perfect for the price

Room was a bit crap. But you get what you pay for. I’m giving such a high rating purely based off of the lovely Daniel up front. He made the night 10x more enjoyable with his amazing hospitality. In my personal opinion, a raise is well deserved :)

Room was small, but cosy and just big enough for 2 people. Staff were lovely, were attentive but left you to do your own thing.

The rooms were perfect for us and the staff were amazing - from suggesting different rooms that suited us better to letting our kids help them decorate the Xmas tree to putting up with our picky eaters at breakfast! We had a great stay here. Nice size carpark at the rear of the property. Hotel is located on a residential street and seems a safe area. Orrell Park train station is a 10 min walk away offering easy access to the city. The room was a good double, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Staying here for a couple of nights, this is our first and it's 1am! Staff brilliant and have spent all evening down stairs at the bar having a nice chat with Ann who is working. She's given us lots of places to visit during our stay and has already gone above and beyond for us :) our room is huge, nicely decorated and modern with ensuite. Very very pleased so far.

Cheap and cheerful, it's really a B&B rather than a hotel! The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was also excellent served until 9:30am. It's perhaps due a bit of maintenance in places, but I couldn't complain about anything at the reasonable price. Friendly staff. Nice food in the bar. Breakfast was varied and good. Coffee could do with improving though! Room was small but fine for me and my son. Big iron burn on the carpet though! And the bathroom could do with a clean. Our room wasn't serviced after our first day so had no tea/milks etc for our second morning but that's ok

Completely independent pub , HOMEMADE FOOD ! The menu does not do the food justice ! Great staff and a good atmosphere! Outside seating and smoking area ! Toilets are clean and well maintained! Prices are reasonable for the times and the work that goes into the food and service !! Well done

This is a small family run business but would appear to be in line with some of the bigger chains of hotels. First impressions were it was very clean and tidy. The hotel service was excellent! They gave chocolate eggs to the kids during check-in. The room was clean. It's very close to the city center, only a 5-6 minute walk to Albert Dock – perfect for watching the sunset! It's also a close 15-20 minute walk to the big shopping mall.

Two of us Stayed here for two nights in November. Location is within easy distance of the city centre. Our room was in the basement … so lacked any natural light. The very small windows were at the very top of the room and were at street level. The rooms are darkly painted in red and black with a bit of a goth feel to them. Our bed was weirdly overlooked by a print of Tupac! The room is sparse...

Stayed on the ground floor, and struggled sleeping with the hallway door getting slammed the room was also right next to the lift which lead to lots of noise from people coming and going. A simple sign saying close the door gently would solve. Checked in on Friday and had to display both our ids which was reasonable. The guy who checked us in stated we had to pay a £100 deposit which was not mentioned...

Clean, Comy and cosy ensuite room . Just off the main street but not noisy.... Tea and coffee facilities and small fridge for storing your own food and drink. Good shower room and toilet. Staff nice and friendly. Would return and recommend.

I had a wonderful stay. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel which takes you into the centre of Liverpool. The owners were so welcoming and also catered for my restricted dietary requirements, which was very kind and made the trip much more enjoyable and less stressful. What a little gem of a place. Wonderful Julie greeted us and made us feel instantly welcome. We were attending a venue nearby for the evening so stayed one evening with ample parking and easy walking distance from Salt and Tar. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice with the cooked breakfast made to order ! A truly lovely experience and we will go again to explore Liverpool further...

Fabulous guest house. Received a really nice warm welcome from Julie when I arrived. Room was lovely. Had breakfast most mornings when I had time before work, and it didn’t disappoint. Nothing was too much trouble whether I needed towels or coffee etc. I would definitely recommend, and will return if working in the area again.

the hotel is good enough for 1 night. the viewpoint , restaurants ans shops are around 30 minutes you can reach by walk. the car park are also ok and easy-to-use.

Just what was required for our trip

Everything else was okay, but the location was too far. It was raining, so I had a hard time getting to the train. It takes at least 30 minutes to walk from the train station to the accommodation.

I recently stayed at this hotel and the overall experience was great! It is particularly worth mentioning that there is a parking lot downstairs of the hotel, which is really convenient for travelers traveling by car. The parking lot is right below the hotel, so you don't have to walk too far, which saves you a lot of trouble. The security in the parking lot was good and made me feel reassured about...
