Liverpool, Ranelagh St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The building is beautiful, staff were pleasant, breakfast was tasty. One thing that needs to be changed is the beds! I can only describe them as ‘stone haphazardly wrapped with bubble wrap.’ So unbelievably uncomfortable, and the single pillow was also hard as stone.
Stunning hotel with spacious rooms , 2 great bars and central.locatiin.. Fantastic rate also.
Would not stay anywhere else in Liverpool
It was a great experience.
I was staying at the hotel for 3 nights.I was at Merseyside Latin Festival, wich was absolutely brilliant.
I would definitely come and visit Liverpool and stay at this beautiful hotel.
🤩🥰😇
Great location , friendly staff with great value
The location is great!right in the middle of the city.I stayed 9 nights and had a great time there.
Just a few minutes' walk from Liverpool train station. It's an older hotel with plenty of rooms, and it was pretty quiet at night. The room itself was quite spacious. It's super convenient for exploring the city center. We stayed one day in Liverpool mainly to catch a home game for the Liverpool team. The bus stop right across from the train station gets you to Anfield Stadium in less than half an...

Location is good for exploring. Good breakfast. Staff could have been a little bit more welcoming. Actual room was horrible, very strong drain smell, which got wafted through the room when the fan heater kicked in every 10/15mins, couldn’t decide where smell was coming from, bathroom did smell drainy, fan in bathroom didn’t work, but also smelt around headboards of main bed, as it was a family room...
Location is great. It’s across the road from the Albert docks. 1 minute’s walk. 🚶
Breakfast is great. Staff are efficient and helpful and check in was rapid. We had a great time.
The rooms are clean but grotty, they feel like too many stag or hen dos have been through the hotel. This is not the staffs fault, the shared space is lovely and has a good vibe. The rooms do have a working tv and great...
All the staffs are friendly and the location is near central and the shopping centre. Highly recommend 👌.
Early check in was made available for us after contacting the hotel. Pillows/mattress in the room were extremely firm which wasn’t great but location and value for money was there from what we had paid.
Small room but all u need is there.
No space for big luggage.
Close to the Dock, walking distance.
Car park £10 per night.
Nice hotel.
Great location and clean room. The room was subpar though and not much available in terms of services. You get what you pay for

Liverpool, James St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Everything was great. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very close to Albert Dock, with the Beatles statue and Titanic Memorial right by the water. There's an M&S and Tesco nearby. Liverpool city center isn't very big, so it's entirely walkable.
liverpool match day changed and we ended up booking another night.
great and an even more spacious room. the shampoo and body wash ran out and the staff brought extra to us promptly. great service!
near the train station as well. convenient location for liverpool lfc fans.
The facilities are a bit old, but the location is great. It's right next to the subway and bus stations, and only a five to ten-minute walk to the shopping mall. There's also a small supermarket about a two-minute walk away. Overall, it's pretty good.
Good - Front desk were polite and helpful and helped us restock on tea and toilet roll
Average - Room was OK, cleanish but a closer look the mattresses and other spots were very unclean. Outside windows haven't been cleaned in a while either.
Bad - The room design had a weird AI pic as wallpaper. No plug in bathtub so shower was only option. The bed was supposed to be king yet it was 2 small mattresses...
..Perfect location-great base for exploring!
The hotel is right in the heart of Liverpool city centre-a very short walk to Liverpool ONE, Albert Dock, the Royal Liver Building, museums, pubs, and restaurants.

It was a lovely stay but breakfast time was very hectic the layout was very different to other Hampton Hilton hotels which we’ve stayed in.
Hotel had provided basic needs. Bed comfortable, easy access to City centre. Breakfast was good, with nice variety of hot abd cold buffet options.
We had a great time. Good location, even better staff. All of them were helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend. The breakfast spread was nice too
This is always my hotel of choice whenever I’m in Liverpool. I stay here regularly, and it never disappoints. The comfort, consistency, and overall experience keep me coming back every time. It truly feels like my home away from home.
I booked the cheapest plan, which was a double room, and since I was traveling alone, I had plenty of space. The front desk staff were all very kind and friendly. I stayed for two nights, and they even tidied up the room midway, so it was always clean. The breakfast buffet was also delicious, so it's a shame I couldn't have it on the second morning due to my flight schedule. I wish there had been slippers...
Staff were lovely, so lovely. Room was lovely and got a great deal. Very attentive at self service breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with a great location. The staff are friendly and polite. It's definitely worth experiencing, though the price is high even during the off-peak season.
Great location, right in the docks. Super friendly staff and service.
Breakfast was really good.
Recommended for a family trip, it's near to everything and good value
Rooms not facing the pier have very small windows, and some don't offer a river view. If a pier view isn't a priority, there are better options available.
Amazing place to stay. As soon as we arrived the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to help. This continued throughout our stay. All staff were amazing.Breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely stop here again
Hi had a great stay excellent location would definitely stay again .. only thing was the electric heater in room made a clicking noise early hours every night .
Brilliant stay. Great location on Albert Dock, staff are friendly and excellent. Good discount at local car park. Will come again next time we're in Liverpool

Lovely spot, perfect location and really great hotel.
Love the location and the brightness of the hotel
Close to center of everything. Room was cold, we should have gone to reception to find out the problem but it was late. I’m sure they would have sorted it.
Clean room and bathroom.
Good stay. Nice location. Room was perfect temperature. Shower could’ve been hotter.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which is well located and close to the best city's spots. The service was also great!

Great location and a bonus having free car parking for guests
Had a lovely stay. I couldn't believe how lovely the hotel was, in an ideal location, and the service was second to none. I'll definitely be staying again.
Excellent location, short walk to city centre. Used the Liner as watching Everton match which was an easy 40 minute walk away.
Lovely hotel. Great location. Let us check in early. Only downside is it states on trip.com when I booked that kids have free breakfast but at the liner they said it wasn’t.
Great location within the city centre. Ask for a bedroom not facing Lime Street Station - otherwise you will hear all the train announcements.
The Liner is in a great location, staff were pleasant enough but had to queue to check in, room was adequate and clean although nothing special, plug socket was away from the wall on arrival however this was fixed promptly.
Breakfast was adequate but would eat out if returning as there are better options locally.

Overall I had a comfortable stay, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and warm and had a good shower. The WiFi was a little slow at times but other than that I would definitely recommend. The location is central close to shops, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Have previously stayed in this hotel several times. We paid for a late check out but ended up having housekeeping knocking on our door and attempting to enter at 10am anyway 🙄. Our tv wasn’t working which go fixed quite promptly in fairness, our bed was rock hard though that we both woke up with sore backs. Not our usual standard of stay.
Clean room, well-equipped, friendly staff. Bed a little uncomfortable but everything else perfect.
The room was very small didnt realise this when booking. Bed against the wall difficult to get in and out of bed
Nice clean hotel, very warm and comfortable. The staff were great, friendly and helpful, woll definitely recommend this hotel
Clean property no complaints there. The staff were also good with us and a very straight forward check in.
The room was quite small, we went for a room without window. It felt like a student room with how small it was but for 1 night only it was ok to be fair. The bed was quite hard, not the comfiest.
Very quiet though in the room no outside noises and came with

Liverpool, 3-19 Queen Buildings, Castle Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The rception team were welcoming, friendly and were very helpful.
Our room 107 was clean and a decent size. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly as it requires the lock to do this, our lock was broken. The windows let a draft through as they were not fully double glazed.
As our room overlooked Castle Street, we did expect to hear some noise and we certainly did, most of the night. The rooms are...
Bare and basic. The layout is is well-sign posted but the walks are lengthy to the room. We were in the last room and so it took probably 5 minutes to walk from reception. When inside the room, it was lacking any comforts. We were also next to a club playing music until well after midnight.
Never Again
Accessibility: If you have the misfortune of being allocated a room on the 4th floor, prepare yourself for a journey. You must first take a lift to the first floor, walk along the corridor and navigate a set of stairs, then take another lift. Not exactly seamless.
Heating: An ugly standalone air conditioning unit blowing suffocating hot air greeted me upon entry—not what I was expecting...
My partner and I stayed here 2 nights, for a concert. It’s no where near as close to the location as was said. Receptionist who checked us in was absolutely lovely, not very great with directions to our room though. Speaking of the room, it was absolutely freezing even with the hot air con on. The tv kept on glitching, and cutting out. Not to mention it had some guy narrating which is great for those...
Really plesent stay and have already recommended, rooms was comfortable with a desk, lamp, mirrors and hairdryer, tv very clean and spacious,
My only negative and not at the fault of the hotel, is there is a lovely coctail bar opened behind which is rather noisy, we were room.126 directly opposite the entrance..
Would 100: stay again
Cleanliness was not satisfactory. Booked for a double room with window with courtyard view . But the view was another building next to the window .overall , good service

I absolulety love this place i stay here pretty much all the time over the last 3 months. Great value for money, lovely staff on reception, easy check in. Room seemed clean and everything you needed but they are small and you have to climb over each other to get out of bed. Beds are raised quite high too so don't fall out lol. Close to so some good bars and restaurants. Mattress poor quality you could feel the springs.
Can’t fault this place. £40 for a room in the city centre on a match day night is ridiculously cheap. Have your own bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Bedding was spotless - reception very helpful and friendly Perfect for the price
Room was a bit crap. But you get what you pay for. I’m giving such a high rating purely based off of the lovely Daniel up front. He made the night 10x more enjoyable with his amazing hospitality. In my personal opinion, a raise is well deserved :)
stayed here on a recent trip, have to say it was very nice. Friendly staff, comfortable room and a good location.Would have no issue staying again.

The rooms were perfect for us and the staff were amazing - from suggesting different rooms that suited us better to letting our kids help them decorate the Xmas tree to putting up with our picky eaters at breakfast! The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
Quick check in, room was clean and spacious, staff very friendly
We had a great stay here. Nice size carpark at the rear of the property. Hotel is located on a residential street and seems a safe area. Orrell Park train station is a 10 min walk away offering easy access to the city. The room was a good double, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Only one bedside cabinet, so maybe add one to the left of the bedside ?? Bathroom was spotless, good size and nice powerful...
The hotel was lovely, the room was lovely, the beds were really comfortable. The staff was lovely couldnt do enough for you
Very nice place to stay clean but room needs updating. Very good breakfast. staff very friendly in restaurant. Receptionist needs training in hospitality as not very talkative or welcoming.

Fantastic service and a great place to stay. Very welcoming and would highly recommend it. Was very accommodating and helpful when needed. Very clean room There is lots of nice places nearby for eating etc as well.
There are great value hotels and then there are amazing value hotels. The Marlborough Hotel has recently been renovated and it’s been done very tastefully. You feel that there is a lot of quality to the place.
The staff are very welcoming and very friendly. We felt instantly at home in a post Covid environment when everyone is a little bit apprehensive.
There is an abundance of restaurants and bars...
this is a clean and good value for money hotel. you do have your own basin and shower. though the toilet is shared. outside the room
very quiet.
10min walk to Waterloo main street.
I would stay again
Staying here for a couple of nights, this is our first and it's 1am! Staff brilliant and have spent all evening down stairs at the bar having a nice chat with Ann who is working. She's given us lots of places to visit during our stay and has already gone above and beyond for us :) our room is huge, nicely decorated and modern with ensuite. Very very pleased so far.
Good B&B very helpful and friendly service, Breckfast is very nice. Rooms are clean and beds are good to sleep in. Value for money ?
Cheap and cheerful, it's really a B&B rather than a hotel! The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was also excellent served until 9:30am. It's perhaps due a bit of maintenance in places, but I couldn't complain about anything at the reasonable price. It's situated on the main road out of Liverpool and is less than a ten minute walk from Waterloo station...

The stay was very pleasant ☺️ the room was very nice and comfortable 😊 The food even though we had just breakfast it was lovely and a good selection to choose from 😊 The Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and very smartly dressed.
Clean tidy nice atmosphere a bit far out from Liverpool city center great location for the races.
The hotel room was dated but clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. Wouldn’t recommend for a romantic get away but great for no drama stays
Hotel looks better inside than from outside.
Free parking.
Clean rooms , but is not cleaned daily during my stay.
Overall good stay.
More heating in the rooms, I was absolutely freezing. Complained to reception and they did nothing about it and said ‘you have a heater in your room’ which I knew but it wasn’t working. Friendlier staff at breakfast
Friendly staff. Nice food in the bar. Breakfast was varied and good. Coffee could do with improving though!
Room was small but fine for me and my son. Big iron burn on the carpet though! And the bathroom could do with a clean. Our room wasn't serviced after our first day so had no tea/milks etc for our second morning but that's ok

Good value but room not clean, plugs don’t work, very cold and ice on steps outside make it dangerous.
Beautiful building and gorgeous bedrooms very well decorated. Very comfortable bed. Two minutes from a very well known old fashion pub called Peter Kavanagh. 20 mn by walk from the center of town.
Great stay, perfect location for us. Room was great and very clean. Hope to be back next year
Nice big comfortable room....very clean and warm...ideal for overnight stay....
Didn't actually see any of the staff ....but then didn't need to....all was well.
Decent location. Free parking. Clean. Decor a little tired. Room door would only close fully from the inside so we couldn't leave valuables in the room. Mentioned to staff, was not fixed during our stay.

Good spot. Friendly service and well priced.
Room was a little tired but did have a well stocked mini fridge with reasonable prices!
Nice hotel, friendly, helpful & welcoming staff. Our room that was on the front was road facing, it's a busy road which was quite noisy all night even noticable with the windows closed. Comfortable bed & some nice design touches.
Two of us Stayed here for two nights in November. Location is within easy distance of the city centre. Our room was in the basement … so lacked any natural light. The very small windows were at the very top of the room and were at street level. The rooms are darkly painted in red and black with a bit of a goth feel to them. Our bed was weirdly overlooked by a print of Tupac!
The room is sparse...
Stayed on the ground floor, and struggled sleeping with the hallway door getting slammed the room was also right next to the lift which lead to lots of noise from people coming and going. A simple sign saying close the door gently would solve. Checked in on Friday and had to display both our ids which was reasonable. The guy who checked us in stated we had to pay a £100 deposit which was not mentioned...
Clean, Comy and cosy ensuite room .
Just off the main street but not noisy....
Tea and coffee facilities and small fridge for storing your own food and drink.
Good shower room and toilet.

I had a wonderful stay. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel which takes you into the centre of Liverpool. The owners were so welcoming and also catered for my restricted dietary requirements, which was very kind and made the trip much more enjoyable and less stressful. The room was also very clean and I had a great sleep every night.
Julie, the owner, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We were in town visiting family and to see the changes that have taken place in Liverpool over the years. Mom and I shared a 2 bed room which was perfect for us. Having coffee, tea, water, and biscuits was always a plus! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others! There was...

What a little gem of a place. Wonderful Julie greeted us and made us feel instantly welcome. We were attending a venue nearby for the evening so stayed one evening with ample parking and easy walking distance from Salt and Tar. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice with the cooked breakfast made to order ! A truly lovely experience and we will go again to explore Liverpool further...

First time stay here because of work, happy with my room, got a ground floor room therefore no pressure on my knees and hips. No lift available Staff were really helpful and my thanks go to Becca who gave me a run down of the hotel and surrounding area
Just what was required for our trip
Everything else was okay, but the location was too far. It was raining, so I had a hard time getting to the train. It takes at least 30 minutes to walk from the train station to the accommodation.
I recently stayed at this hotel and the overall experience was great! It is particularly worth mentioning that there is a parking lot downstairs of the hotel, which is really convenient for travelers traveling by car.
The parking lot is right below the hotel, so you don't have to walk too far, which saves you a lot of trouble. The security in the parking lot was good and made me feel reassured about...
