We stayed at the Novotel Liverpool Centre for 3 nights, for our short first time visit to Liverpool over half term. The hotel is well located, so we were able to walk everywhere in town during our whole visit.
Our superior room was very comfortable, the queen size bed was bigger than expected (US size I guess) and the mattress was the right side of firm for me. The double sofa bed was a bit smaller than I had hope for, so one of my kids slept with me in the end. The sofa bed mattress was much softer, but this didn't bother my other child.
The bedroom has a separate toilet space, which is very practical apart from the fact that the only sink is in the shower room. A tiny sink in the toilet room would make the room perfect. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic! Also, the room is advertised on the website as having a magnifying makeup mirror, but ours didn't which was disappointing.
The breakfast had a good variety of items, and a pancake machine, and absolute hit with kids and adults! The hot breakfast amd other items were sadly of mass catering standard, so not great but in line with comparable options I guess. However, there are options to balance things out like cheeses, fresh fruit, baguettes, yoghurts, seeds, dried fruit and a great selection of Clipper teas.
The pool and gym are great additions but difficult to enjoy during busy periods like half term. The operated a booking system to help flow.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay which was definitely good value. Worth a visit!

We visited for Scouse afternoon tea as a gift. Unsure of what to expect it was a lovely surprise. Daniela and Ethan sorted out our reservation easily, front of house were all excellent service and the thought was lovely. It was different from your traditional afternoon tea, it includes: salt and pepper chicken skewers, scouse on toast, fish cakes, oreo brownies, macaroni, New York cheesecake and topped with a baby Guinness each.

We were a little early and had to bring our little one extra with us, this was no problem for them. We sat and had drinks at the bar people watching. There is a little play area downstairs by the swimming pool, which think he was gutted he wasn't going to be using! I would recommend if you wanted to try something nice and different for lunch one day.

Great check in experience, given a room on floor 2. Our first night it was loud, lots of shouting from the street and buliding works opposite starting at 7am, not the hotels fault. Went down for breakfast and asked if any chance of moving to a quieter room, higher up. I wasn't confident there would be a room available as it was half term but the lady on reception was very helpful and said that she'd sort something whilst we were having breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, it was busy but we were seated immediatley and helped ourselves to breakfast and drinks.
Our second night was much better, a room on the 8th floor over looking the back of the hotel.
We went smimming on our second evening, clean changing rooms and towels available.
Another great stay in Liverpool.

Arrived early and expected to drop my bags but surprised to find my room was ready before 1pm! Receptionist was so lovely but didn’t catch her name. The room was perfect! I’m pretty sure I was upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Room 308 (hope to get that room every time I stay)
Big comfy bed and little treats in the room was such a nice touch! I felt so welcome, didn’t get a chance to enjoy my welcome drink as I was happily lounging in my room!
Will definitely be back again!! Would absolutely recommend this hotel!!

A very good hotel and enjoyable stay. Located about a 10/15 minute walk from Lime Street. We were in room 1018 for 1 night and had a superb sleep. Not the plushest hotel but the room had a very comfortable bed, decent black out curtains, temperature was good, noise levels were decent/quite and the breakfast was superb. Some minor improvements would be having locks on the toilet/bathroom doors, more channels available on the tv, clean or remove the stained chair in the corridor and at breakfast, we had to search out cutlery/ napkins/bowls etc but again only a minor points. The pancake machine was also too much to work out first thing in the morning. Good quality food though that set us up for the day. The bar/pool/communal areas were all lovely, warm and every member of staff were welcoming and helpful. Very good value and would definitely recommend/stay here again.

Great Experience! I ate to my heart's content. Then the dessert was sinful. Not too sweet and definitely not bland. Was there with my family and everyone enjoyed themselves a lot. Truely, it's the place to go to have a nice time.

I had a small get together here with my family after my graduation from the University of Liverpool. Oh!!! The Fun we had. The restaurant Is below street level so we had to go down a flight of stairs. They had this old elevator for people with mobility issues. I was able to get my baby down in her stroller using this. Once we get walked in, we were attended to by the maitre'd. Lovely reception. Our order for drinks were immediately taken and the wait staff was just a beckon away. The buffet was piping hot and just as a tray was almost finishing they replenished.
They array of deserts was also very satisfactory. It was truly a all you can eat. We all felt that we got value for our money and will definitely visit again.

Great selection of very lovely contemporary oriental cuisine and really tasty meals. The ambience was quite serene, good for family with a dedicated baby changing room. Quite courteous and friendly staffs as well.

Nice food. It was a Saturday night and busy but we were seated fairly quickly and the food was constantly replenished. Reasonable prices for the food and drinks. Will be visiting again.

Very dissapointed to have to say this after all our years of eating here, visited the buffet on the wednesday 29 december 2017, complained to staff about a massive hair on ribs, the waitress changed the tongs it was attached to, then my freind went to the gents and whilst he was washing his hands, a male waiter came out of one of the toilet cubicles having finished what he went in there for and without washing his hands he went straight out the door and back onto the resturaunt floor, my freind followed him out totally disgusted and watched him pick up a stack of clean plates and put them below the hot food for customers to use, he then picked up a crate of childrens small glass dishes and put them next to the ice cream machine, my freind spoke to the supervisor made our complaint known, advised them to watch their own cctv, paid our £26 bill and left, NEVER EVER TO RETURN AGAIN, the waiters name was Tess, Absolutely Disgusting
