Perfect! Stayed to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. Perfect location, very private but close to everything. The staff was fantastic and made our stay so special. Cleanliness was excellent. Would recommend to everyone.

Honestly, not worth it. £30 per cocktail and no effort made with a seasonal menu. I ordered what I thought was simply a “summer cocktail,” only to be told it wasn’t available because it’s winter, something that could have been communicated far more clearly. Embarrassed, I apologised and asked for a recommendation. My husband tried to make conversation, mentioning videos he’d seen on YouTube showcasing their cocktails, but the waiter didn’t even acknowledge him. An interesting approach to hospitality.

We also waited over an hour to be seated, as reservations aren’t permitted. I understand this is meant to build hype, but for those travelling into London for the day, it completely disrupts your plans. You’re left hoping you’ll be seated at some point, unable to book anywhere else because you have no idea when (or if) you’ll be called. Rather than adding to the experience, it actively detracts from it and ends up spoiling the day.

Once seated, the atmosphere was strangely cold and uncomfortable, not just in temperature, but in feeling. Other tables were chatting and clearly having a nice time, yet our corner felt completely disconnected from any sense of a “bar” environment. There wasn’t even background jazz or ambient music to soften the space. We couldn’t see the bar, were placed at a table with a wonky lamp, and the setting felt more awkward than atmospheric.

The service did nothing to improve this. The waiter barely made eye contact, didn’t ask what we’d like so much as gesture in our direction, and showed little interest in explaining or engaging while making the cocktail. There was no sense of theatre, hospitality, or pride in what he was doing, just indifference.

Yes, the cocktail was good, but at £30, it should be. At the end of the day, it was gin in a glass, and that alone doesn’t justify the price, the hype, or the reputation. We won’t be returning, which I’m aware makes 0 difference to this establishment but thought maybe I’ll shed some light on this place.

Wife took me here for my 50th birthday. Amazing experience with very little wait. Extremely lucky to have Alessandro prepare our martinis for us! Hope to return again soon!

My wife and friends went today to celebrate and staff and servers were more than rude. They are not easily offended but this was extraordinarily poor.

We love visiting Dukes. The service, cocktails, restaurant… everything is five stars. A slice of elegance in London

My husband and i spent 3 lovely days in this beautiful hotel just before Xmas. We loved it! We were very lucky to visit the famous bar a couple of times and enjoy the fantastic martini, it is truly outstanding! Both the hotel and bar staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. We are planning to come back in November, hopefully the refurbishment work going on at the moment will be completed, i'm looking forward to seeing the improvements!

Our recent stay at The Dukes Hotel was truly exceptional. We visited London for the first time with the dream of experiencing the legendary bar where Ian Fleming penned the first Casino Royale James Bond novel, and The Dukes certainly lived up to the hype.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that immediately put us at ease. The check-in process was seamless and personalized, with the staff taking the time to understand our preferences and introduce us to the hotel's offerings.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, indulging in deliciously crafted cocktails at the Great British Restaurant twice and savoring Afternoon Tea in the elegant Drawing Room. We even returned to the Drawing Room for a post-dinner martini, a nod to the hotel's literary history. Dukes Hotel boasts a rich history, having welcomed illustrious guests such as the Queen Mother, and Princess Diana.
The Dukes Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was charming, and the overall experience was truly unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.

Marlon was the absolute star of the day; we had a wonderful day, and he made it extra special. The vegan afternoon tea was amazing, and the surroundings and rooms were wonderful, but the human touch and absolute joy he brought us were unparalleled. All the staff were amazing, but Marlon made our day. Thank you!

No air condition working, no alternative. If I could give 0* rather than 1* I would. They tried to offer a fan and a free breakfast - but doesnt cut it for 400gbp a night, when the room feels like a sauna. Terrible experience!!!

Had the £70 signature menu, every course was great and the sushi was some of the best I’ve had. Great non-alcoholic Pale Ale on offer for dry January from Big Drop.

Only slight annoyance of the night was a recommendation for second non-alcoholic beer by the waiter (so i didn’t see the menu), called Golden Monkey, which wasn’t really a beer (tea based) and I was a little surprised to see it was £18 a bottle when the bill arrived; too much for what it was. Otherwise great!

First time here, I have been to Hakasan several times and this is part of it. Had the £34 menu with few extras, lovely food with a great selection. Sushi was so fresh and who would of thought tofu would taste so great. Staff were great and very attentive, even the manger came up to us and asked how we were doing.
Would highly recommend and I will becoming back here very soon.

We went for the Umai Sushi Saturday option which is a wonderful tasting menu with various delights and surprises along the way. Included also is a cocktail and half a bottle of bubbly!

Despite being half cut at the end we really enjoyed the food here ?.

The owners of this place also own Hakkasan! The sushi here is generally excellent and very well presented. Good options for vegans also. Definitely try the mango topped sushi roll. The tempura prawns were also very fresh in amazingly light and crunchy batter. Decor is beautiful and well worth the visit just to see it! Giving 4 stars because it is very expensive and the dessert options were not impressive.

Had a wonderful lunch here for my birthday with my family. We opted for the Fab 7 course brunch and it was so so good. We started with a cocktail each which were all different and unique. Then the good started arriving and the pace was great- not too slow that we were waiting on food but also not rushed through courses that we couldn't enjoy the food and the experience. Each course was served beautifully and plentiful for us to share. We had one vegie and one pesceterian in the group and they accommodated them well too. Oh and did I add you get a half bottle each too which was a treat! Decor is simple and elegant and staff are friendly and accommodating.
Enjoyed the experience a lot and will return again.

Terrible service. So i booked a table for my 27th through someone that works there for 8 of us and we came from bath. All dressed nicely and all professionals. Took our ids made us wait 5 minutes and told us we would bot be going in as there is 8 guys. Had the table booked for a week and just like that the night was ruined as we couldnt get in anywhere else. Manager looked clueless and was an absolute goon. We offered more money and just as we were talking 6-7 guys all stroll in. I would avoid this place and london if you have a few mates with you. The reps/event managers and the manager... absolutely useless. Ruined my birthday and i hope he has a s*** birthday to.

Great club venue, what let’s it down terribly is the added 12.5% service charge which you are not informed about. We only realised the very next day on the receipt that we had paid an extra £124 without being told about it. Also don’t expect to be able to get a hold of the manager via phone, we had kindly called up to see if we could get our money back and were told on several phone calls that the manager was going to call us at certain time with no return call whatsoever. It was clear that the manager had better things to do.

Very enjoyable. Good music. Mixed clientele. Some well dressed people and some causal people. Vast majority of people out for a good time and no trouble. All in all a fun night out.
12.12.2017 Neil
Once I’ve paid £15 to get into a bar/club I’d rather not have to queue for 30mins to pay £70 for 4 drinks. Needs more staff on the bar and bigger bar areas. Slightly concerned with the H&S aspect too, I know they’re indoor sparklers but that just means they’re smokeless, carrying them above head height in a basement with a low ceiling clad in wood is asking for a fire. Also ridiculously hot inside when busy, the air conditioning units can’t cope. Sorry, not as good as I was hoping.

I met the love of my life at Mahiki, we have been together nearly 2 years now. I will be eternally grateful to this club for the calibre of females they brought In that night. Go here if you want to find your soul mate! ☺️ And also if you just want to get wasted and hook up with someone.
