Hotel is tucked away to the side of Reubens Hotel. My guess is that this is (in essence) an annexe of the Reubens, probably sharing the kitchen and some staff. The entrance lobby is very small and not particularly glamourous and all the rooms are accessed by a compact lift that transports the guests to the fifth floor. One of the problems with this hotel is that there's only one lift and we had to (quite frequently) wait in a queue. Another problem we had was the fact that our room was above the kitchens and we woke up each morning to the smell of frying. I suspect the hotel needs to address this - possibly an extraction problem. Other than that, it was a good stay. It's a nice hotel with excellent service. But it's not the glamourous 5 star London aesthetic experience some might expect.

Absolutely perfect hotel and as a solo traveller I was well looked after, the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Great location, very convenient to Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station. Loved the ‘Plunder the Pantry’ complimentary option when I arrived late back from day tours. Would love to come back one day with my husband.

This is a very touching old hotel. In an era when the tourism service industry has basically given up or laid flat, it is not easy to find such a conscientious old hotel that maintains high standards. Taking advantage of the off-season in March, I was able to stay in the old hotel of the Red Carnation Group for the first time. 41 and Reuben next door belong to the same group, and the same enthusiastic old doorman is responsible for the roadside greeting. From the moment you step into the hotel door, you can feel the meticulous service, especially the Korean little girl housekeeper who received us, who is cute and enthusiastic. As a boutique hotel, it has only one floor, and the public area serves as a lobby and lobby bar, which is very old money style. Welcome champagne, candy snacks, ice cream, hot food and cold cuts afternoon tea and midnight snacks are provided in the morning, noon and evening. The signature snack is chocolate shortbread. But I have to say that the ordinary room is too small. It is a bit difficult to turn around when two people stay and two large boxes. The decoration and equipment of the bathroom are also old-fashioned. When turning the bed at night, a hot water bottle will be put in the quilt. It feels that you can almost make any request to the housekeeper, and even help you pack your luggage if necessary. The hotel is just opposite the stable garage of Buckingham Palace. We walked there to check in at Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

The service fee is outrageous. Although the service staff smiles every day, it makes people feel uncomfortable. Choose carefully. I booked this hotel because it was ranked first in London by trip advisor, but it was no longer ranked first when I checked out. I felt that a high ranking would bring many seemingly considerate little services, such as someone making the bed every night, and sending small things like pillow spray and desserts. But all services are actually charged. In addition to the room rate, a 20-pound service fee is added every night, which was not mentioned when I checked in or on the booking page.
The hotel is located opposite Buckingham Palace and very close to Victoria Station, which is very convenient for watching Hamilton, but I feel that the cost performance is average. The hotel is very small, with only one floor. The public area is basically a lounge, and breakfast and other things are all here. The only elevator is also very old, and there is a loud noise when closing the door.
Our room is very small, the bed is only 1.5 meters, and we can barely put two suitcases with a luggage rack and footrest. The sink in the bathroom is very small and can't hold toiletries. The faucet hardware should be very old and needs to be twisted many times to turn it off. There is a gap after the curtain is closed and it can't completely block the light. During the stay, a lamp in the room was broken and kept flashing. There was also a fire alarm that woke me up before 8 o'clock in the morning. I can't imagine how TripAdvisor ranks first.
There are welcome champagne and small desserts on the first day of check-in. There are also some chocolate candies and ice cream in the lounge every day. There are some simple buffets in the evening, such as cakes and salads, but drinks are charged separately. A bottle of Coke including service charge is about 8 pounds, which is quite a rip-off.
If you don't particularly like retro style, I don't recommend it. The new room of the South Bank Hilton Hotel where I stayed before is large, the breakfast is rich and cheap, and it is also very convenient to go anywhere.

The waiter was incredibly rude. Do not believe the opening times, wanted to go there for a late lunch. It wasn't open. We managed to get there for dinner only to be disappointed by the off putting behaviour of the waiter!!!!! Spend your money somewhere else, London has a wide variety of quality Indian restaurants.

Very good Indian food in the area. Place a bit small but they have basement for big groups. Worth giving a try. Please take note of their hours of operation which is limited to lunch and dinner. Staff very helpful

Very rude staff. Had literally sat down to have some lovely dinner after a long journey. I had a bottle of coke with me and was just about to take a sip as I was quite thirsty before starting to look into the menu. The staff in a very rude voice just “told me off” for consuming drink purchased from outside. I was just gobsmacked with his attitude and rudeness. So me and my friend just got up and left within 2 minutes. So never again and avoid if/where possible. We found another Indian restaurant just down the road walking towards Pimlico and had an amazing meal.

Place seemed very cosy and nice. However, the service ruined it, waited 35 mins in good hope of someone coming to serve us, 3 tables were served before us, even though we came before them, it took for me to approach someone to ask to be served! Then the waiter seemed disinterested and annoyed, a colleague had to come to help out. Just reduced to 2 stars. Probably the worst service ever in a restaurant. Food was average, my main was bland, linguine pesto, had to add salt and pepper (which I very rarely do). Sorry to say but I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

Went here for cocktails. Impressed at how quickly these were made given a lot of places can be slow making them. Menu was good with all the classics. Bar got a bit chilly in the evening when it emptied out and staff weren't overly friendly.

Mango tree has been a regular option for special events such as birthdays and anniversaries for me and the family. We visit possibly 4 times a year and have never once left feeling dissatisfied.
On our last visit, ordered a steak, expecting it to be leaner than it was. Likely this was my mistake for realising wagyu is not lean.
The staff were very friendly and apologetic, even though it was my fault, refunded the dish and suggested the alternative Thai green curry with chicken which had the most succulent chicken I've had.
They made no fuss about this and this, among the amazing dishes is one of the reasons we continue to visit.

Didn't like the fact there was a massive birthday party right behind us and they were loud as anything!
Also the route to the toilet there alot of clutter everywhere, I didn't expect a very up market place to leave storage and just excess stuff lying around on the side

Good food and nice, warm and cosy interior. The chocolate sphere dessert they serve is just bomb. The main wasn't as great as I would expect. Even though they score high with their caring and good mannered staff which will be with you always when you need it but still staying not pushy at all. Good place for a date ;)
