I recently stayed at the Hotel Plaza in Waterloo, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though it definitely had its ups and downs.
The Good:
The room itself was lovely—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. I had a generally good stay and found the atmosphere of the hotel to be quite nice. If you are looking for a solid place to rest your head in a great location, this fits the bill.
The Not-So-Good:
However, the experience was let down by a significant lack of amenities and service. For a hotel of this caliber, I was surprised by a few things:
• In-room essentials: There was no shower gel provided, and the tea/coffee station was very sparse (there was barely any sugar).
• Missing extras: There were no gowns or slippers (sliders) available, which took away from the "hotel feel."
• Communication issues: This was the biggest drawback. I tried calling both room service and the front desk but received no response. I ended up being on hold for about 45 minutes without anyone picking up.
Final Verdict:
It was a good stay in terms of the physical room and environment, but the lack of communication and basic service was frustrating. If they can sharpen up their customer service and restock the basic amenities, it would be a 5-star stay.

Was an issue at check in with my reservation which they finally sorted after an hour. Perfect location right opposite Lambeth North station as well. Breakfast could have been better with more variety for a 4 star hotel. Spa was okay shame pool was so cold! Not sure I’d stay again would depend on the price! Staff seemed really nice. Not any amenities in the room.

We stayed at Park Palaza Waterloo for three nights before Xmas, the overall experience of staying at this hotel was great, staff were welcoming and friendly, breakfast was great with variety of choices, room was spotless clean, only downside is the body lotion in the bathroom in our room was run out and had not been topped up during our stay. But this did not bother us too much because we used the swimming pool in the hotel every day, there were plenty of washing facilities available there.
The only reason why I did not give 10/10 is the bed in our room, the spring in the mattress made loud noise . I was waken up few times during my sleep which was frustrating.

Breach of privacy and safety that occurred during my recent booking through your platform at the Park Plaza London Waterloo.
This incident directly resulted in my decision to shorten my stay and is the basis of my request for a full refund for the unused night.

On 12/Nov/2025, bet approx. 8:00 PM and 8:03 PM, while I was inside my hotel room tidying my luggage, a female hotel staff member used her staff access key to open and entered my room.
The "Privacy Indicator" (Do Not Disturb) was switched on at the time of the incident.
The staff member first knocked, but before I could reach the door to respond, she opened the door herself using her key. She claimed she was "wondering whether I was doing okay." I had not called for room service, nor had I requested any assistance or maintenance.
This forceful entry by staff, using an access key while the room's privacy indicator was on, was deemed unacceptable.
Due to this alarming incident, I no longer felt safe staying at the hotel and decided to check out one day early on 13/Nov/2025.
I immediately filed a complaint with the hotel and requested a refund for the unused night (November 13-14, 2025). The hotel rejected this request.
I explicitly demanded a formal written explanation from the hotel regarding why this serious incident occurred. The hotel staff promised to provide an explanation via email, but as of today, 28/Nov/2025, I received no reply. This lack of response is outrageous and irresponsible, showing no concern at all.
I request Trip.com to investigate this matter with Park Plaza London Waterloo. Given the clear violation of my privacy and the failure of the hotel to provide an explanation, I demand a full refund for the unused period.

The initial room assignment was problematic; we were first given the worst room type and only managed to switch to a better one after negotiation. The location, however, was quite good, right next to a subway exit, making transportation very convenient. Our room booking didn't include breakfast, but there's a supermarket nearby where we could easily pick up items like bread, cereal, milk, fruit, and salad in the morning.

Prefect location, close to Waterloo station and great to be transited to other cities in UK. Walking distance to London eye and Big Ben.
