We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton West End for 1 night. We booked through Trip for 2 adults, 1 child but when we got there they only had details of 2 adults so we had to wait a while for them to add a 2nd bed to our room..
The room was a nice size and in a good location, within walking distance to Covent Garden.
We de idea not to pay £24 per person to have breakfast here and instead had a 5 mins walk to Russell Square Gardens and ate at Cafe Tropea which was lovely food, great location and good value.
The beds were comfortable and a good size too. The shower grouting was pretty dirty but otherwise I had no complaints in the room. There is a musty smell near the lifts on the ground floor. Rest of reception is lovely though.
It was a nice touch having a welcome message on the TV when we arrived.

Comfortable room and nice service. Also great location - a few minutes walk from the subway station along well-lit roads, which feels safe even at night.

Great location and nice environment, very close to the British Museum, so you can visit it daily. The room wasn't huge, but it was decent, and the cleanliness was also acceptable.

Located right in the city center, directly opposite the British Museum. The breakfast was plentiful, and there's parking nearby.

Great location, right next to the British Museum, just a street away. You can even go without a bag! It's also convenient for visiting other popular attractions like the National Gallery. From Heathrow Airport, you can take the Piccadilly Line to Holborn station, and it's about a 10-minute walk from there.

I booked two rooms. One on the second floor was quite old and run down, while the one on the fourth floor was slightly better. We only received two complimentary bottles of water on the first day of our stay, and none afterwards. There were no slippers or toothbrushes provided. The main advantage is its proximity to the British Museum, and public transport (buses and the underground) is very convenient nearby.

Nearly 4000 a night for this hotel, and after just one night, my child woke up covered in red spots. I immediately contacted the front desk, and they did a full cleaning and linen change. The rest of our stay was fine. Breakfast was just okay.

The room was a bit small, but the main advantage was its proximity to the city center. It's a 5-minute walk from the British Museum, which was really convenient with kids and saved us a lot on transportation.

Hotel room was cramped, there was barely 50 cm on each side of the bed and the room was shaped like a used shape so it was a little bit claustrophobic. The view outside the window was as purified below and there was construction going on. I struggle to lock the window almost couldn’t which was about 2 m off the ground.
The reception staff were either too busy or just rude. The tea coffee was placed in the cabinet and the pull-out bed fell about 15 cm from the cabinet so it was understandable for me to not be able to find the tea coffee. However when I rang downstairs, they were very helpful And while I walked away to check in case I had missed it they hung up on me. When I called back nobody answered. I just found the Service route on that day that evening. Another group of staff came on mostly mail and they were great friendly and very helpful. I would not book these rooms again. The hotel is great and in a great place but the rooms are not worth the charges.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bowling was great but the food let it down. Christmas lunch was very greasy and a bit too much had been thrown in to everything. Dessert particularly disappointing. The Christmas burger could have done without the chestnuts and the stuffing on the top of the bun made it soggy. My cherry turnover was dry and a touch burnt. I swapped with a friend's creme brulee but that was so over flavoured no one wanted it. Was better last year.

All Star Lanes advertises itself as a 50s style diner, trying to emulate the atmosphere of the time. The furniture and style didn't dissapoint on that front and a number of items dotted around the place made for a more authentic experience.

I was disappointed with the food - the vegetarian starter was very bland, and the main came presented in a way which made it difficult to eat, and wasn't especially tasty either.

The bowling, however, was good fun and this made it worth the journey. Worth doing as part of a big group especially.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I attended with clients, we were told three times on the phone that we couldn't book more than one game in advance and had to book on the day. On the day, we were told there weren't any more lanes free for another 12 hours. Cheers. We were then kicked off of our lane without even getting half way through a game - no warning about there being a time limit (it was on the confirmation email - because we all read the confirmation email, don't we kids) and no prompt to say we were nearing the end of our game. We were kicked off the two lanes we booked, and sat down for a lunch for two hours, overlooking two other lanes which were COMPLETELY FREE FOR THE WHOLE TWO HOURS. The restaurant staff were very good, front of house really let themselves down.

All Stars? More like One Star.

Good place to go with large groups. Had our team Christmas dinner here. Was a good Night out with a Game of Bowling to start of and followed by dinner. Gave it 4 stars because the salmon came with a very spicy tomato sauce that really did not go with fish. So maybe avoid that. All else was great and it was a fun night out and great for bonding with colleagues.

I didn't bowl here, but I did drink some beer and ate some chicken wings. The beer and wings were great and the surroundings were pretty great. My only criticism is that I think wings should be butchered into drums and flats, rather than served up whole, but I'm not a baby and enjoyed eating them all the same. I like it here!
