My husband and I booked a single night stay in the deluxe double room. Wow! Quaint but perfect. The hotel lobby is super clean, cute, and comfortable - always a nice sign. We checked in after midnight (late train) and the front desk gentleman was helpful and speedy. Our room - perfect. First - no carpets !!! Thank God!!! My allergies can finally chill TF out. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel without carpet, I wish it was more common. The room has everything you could need - closet kitchenette with its own stove, sink and a BRITA water filter like ok !! I am an American fitness instructor, I drink water like a fish and cannot believe I have my own filter in this tiny perfect room to drink as much water as I please whenever I want ??? The SHOWER - tiny but the most luxurious rainfall shower head - need to find one and replace mine soon as I’m back in the states. Comfy bed, nice toilet, I can’t believe how lovely at this decent price point. My shock is because we spent our first couple nights at another small hotel here in Waterloo, similarly priced, and it was tragic in comparison - mushy carpet from a leaky AC vent, a little stinky, saddest shower water pressure, fine for a couple nights, sure, but by comparison, the Nox is luxury. Central location to train, eats, everything, streets felt safe as we walked over with our luggage at midnight. Would 10/10 recommend booking here for a comfy, practical, and clean stay full of simple luxuries that make all the difference when you’re traveling.

Great place

Not a business hotel. Whilst being convenient for Waterloo station and tube the rooms are small, despite advertising there were no desks or lamps which makes meetings impossible. There is a good sink, cooking equipment and microwave however no tea towels are provided, and washing up liquid was empty. Only one towel (for two people) and bath mat disappeared after first day. There was no top up of milk or tea. A disappointing stay.

We stayed that the Nox Waterloo on Wednesday 4th March. Great customer service from Aisha and her colleague. Room was clean and had every amenity we could need for an overnight stay. Highly recommend

The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and available 24/7, and the price of the rooms is very convenient. What makes this hotel stand out is the position: you can easily reach by foot Westminster and the London Eye, and if you want to go further, there is the Waterloo train and underground station very nearby, together with several bus lines. The neighbourhood is calm—it cannot be considered one of the most active ones—, but it offers several bars and pubs for the night, and nice cafeterias for the mornings. I would definitely go back.

We stayed at this hotel expecting the same quality as last year - especially since the price has almost doubled for the same period - but our experience was extremely disappointing and far from what a 4-star hotel should offer. Upon arrival, we were given room 303, where the shower was completely unusable: the showerhead was filled with limescale, the water wouldn’t flow properly, and showering was impossible. These issues were observed immediately with the receptionist, who came with us to the room as soon as we checked in. The hotel had claimed that all rooms had been checked before our arrival, but this was clearly untrue: only the cleaning had been done, nothing more. We were told that repairs might be possible the next day, but without any certainty, leaving the bathroom unusable for the entire day. We wasted more than 1h30 talking with several staff members trying to get information or a solution - without any result. We even had to cancel our evening because of this situation. In the end, we had to request the room change ourselves. We were then moved to room G05, located right next to the reception desk. The soundproofing is terrible: we could hear every conversation, every person walking by, and the reception noises, even late at night. This is unacceptable for a hotel advertising 4-star standards. On top of that, the shower in this second room had another issue: the button to change the spray mode was broken, and once again this was observed immediately with the receptionist, who was with us inside the room. Despite witnessing both issues firsthand, the hotel accused us of causing the damage, even though it was clearly due to poor maintenance and significant limescale buildup. The threat to charge our £100 deposit was unprofessional and inappropriate. A commercial gesture, an apology, or even basic professionalism would have been far more appropriate. We have already sent two emails without receiving any reply, which is far from professional. This message is therefore our third attempt to get a response in addition to an email sent today. Photos and videos are attached, clearly showing the issues. We will also share our experience on our social media to inform future guests. The hotel has clearly declined since last year, despite substantially higher prices. Very disappointing.

We stayed at NOX Hotel Waterloo in October 2025 and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had, especially for a place that claims to be four star. We paid €220 per night, which makes the experience even more frustrating. When we arrived, the room was dirty and unhygienic. There were black hairs all over the bed, floor and bathroom, and the shower floor had mold and stains. The glasses had lipstick marks and the TV remote was sticky and filthy. We immediately reported everything to reception. They confirmed the issues and promised a deep clean, but when we came back it was clear that only a quick wipe down had been done. The hairs and stains were still there. The TV turned on but didn’t properly work, with a blurry image and a black line across the screen. Despite all of this, we were told we could only switch rooms the next day, so we had to spend the first night in a dirty room with a badly functioning TV. To make matters worse, housekeeping threw away the snacks we had bought without asking. They were later replaced, but that should never have happened. We were told that all communication had to go through the manager, “Alexa”, who we were never able to meet in person. She responded to our complaint by email in a very dismissive and unfriendly way, even suggesting that we had caused the mess ourselves. Since then, she has simply ignored our follow-up messages. This was supposed to be our anniversary trip, but it ended up being stressful and unpleasant. The cleanliness, service and attitude of management were far below what you would expect from a four star hotel. Definitely not recommended.

This place might suit some groups out for a party night. Not the place to go for an anniversary dinner though. Very noisy with the sounds of the ice grinding machine bedside the dining area and when the metal furniture is being moved around it sounds like you're in a car mechanics. Tapas limited selection with some items unavailable and average quality. Papaya and quinoa salad brought without any papaya - do they do this for everyone or just me? Plantain crisps described in the menu as 'fresh' but I'm fairly sure they just came 'freshly out of a crisp packet' I'd expected them to be freshly fried but definitely weren't. Mojito's are £7 for an average sized glass so probably better to go at happy hour and get 2 for the price of 1. Visited in December and we wore our coats at the table as the venue was cold and we weren't drunk enough to keep them off. As a dining experience I really wouldn't recommend it, but we didn't stay to get the live music and I suspect that's maybe when the party starts properly.

Fun Latino bar. Food is OK and drinks aren't bad but it's all about the dance floor. When the live band play the venue comes alive. Everyone dancing into the night having a great time. Can get crowded but everyone is in high spirits having fun.
Weird situation with the bouncers though - everyone is told repeatedly to put their bags into a "cloakroom" which is basically a gazebo (!) But after you've paid £2 for that privelledge they leave you alone....

Perfect Birthday Celebration with a Cuban feeling. As a Cuban I was really impressed by the food. I will totally recommend this lovely space in London which made me feel back home.
The food is great. Decoration is a pro with lots of Cuban distinctive posters from earlier 60's ( I don't know how the owner managed to get those! ) the service was also good and they do live music so I'm going back again to enjoy this bit.
Well done!
It was a fantastic place to celebrate my birthday ❤️!

Our first visit and a great experience! Food excellent as was the service. Very reasonable price and have already recommended to family and friends who intend to try! I should be on commission!! See you soon!

This bar-restaurant is the epitome of chaos and rush. The service is slow and requires significant prompting by diners. The dining area is small and cramped. The noise levels can rise to extreme levels effecting any ambience it was trying to create.

The decor is fine if not a little too stereotypical in design. The food is average at best and feels like something you could prepare quite easily at home. The main reason why this place seemed busy must have been the generous happy hour. With the mojito jugs proving very popular with diners. Due to London South Bank University being up the road there was a decent student crowd in attendance.

The place fills fairly quickly, so booking is recommended. Be prepared to be moved out quickly once you have finished your meal as tables are a premium. This is typically a no-frills bar-restaurant for a quick drink or nibble before moving on to someplace much better.

A classic Waterloo pub for many years, it's an attractive, lively (noisy some nights) pub retaining original details from the 1910 Fire Station it once was. Although pub grub (burgers and pizza), ingredients are a bit different and fairly priced. The back dining room is quieter and has more of a restaurant feel to it.

Delicious food, very quick and professional service, a lot of options for vegetarians.
Take half of pizza ? with a house salad ? - you won't regret!
Beer ? is good... For London))

Nice place but staff seem unhappy. Spent ages waiting for drinks. 2 bar tenders just chatting and someone got their attention leaving one of them doing nothing. Either make your staff want to be work and he happy or support them in getting a place where management makes them feel important. Staff should not be chatting when free.

Giving 2 for atmosphere and drink selection, nothing for being made to wait ages whilst staff chat.

Great pub - really trendy and buzzing. I had the maple bacon burger and it was cooked to perfection. Pizza was decent - super thin crust, like a cracker. I’d definitely go back again and try the various burgers. Don’t bother with the Mac and cheese - not so great.
16.10.2017 Dean
Bartenders were okay, drinks overpriced. Extremely rude/bad attitude hostess/waitress, especially the tall blonde lady. Constantly harassing us if we went anywhere near a dining section table, despite it being mostly empty. Later on in the night she dumped two plates of food on our table and wandered off before we could say anything. When she dumped a third plate, we managed to catch her to say that we hadn't ordered food. She then snapped at us and told us we should've told her straightaway. Perhaps if she'd stuck around and asked if we wanted condiments etc as most waiters would when they serve food, we would've been able to tell her.

Overall a pretty soulless atmosphere, rude waitress and they serve food on slates and trays rather than plates. Avoid.
