Reviews
However, upon arrival, we were told that our room had been given to someone else. This was unacceptable, especially since we had notified them ahead of time and it's nearly 6am we were extremely knackered. The hotel then offered to relocate us to another property – Point A Hotel in Westminster – and as compensation, promised complimentary breakfast and a late check-out.
We were told that the stay at this alternative hotel would be for one or two nights. A driver was assigned to take us there, but upon arrival, we discovered that breakfast was not included at this location as promised cause point A Wesminster doesn't provide it at all . The room we were given was tiny, plus along a busy main road, and had poor insulation – the window could not be fully closed and was not double-glazed. As a result, we were disturbed by traffic noise and sirens throughout the day and night. Moreover the room with “”city view” over London eye was coverd by scaffold outside our window, and we can even hear joiners workers walking and chatting outside on the scaffold. But we had to admit that this alternative hotel is situated at a much better location close to Westminster.
Although the staff at the Westminster branch were friendly and tried to make us feel welcome by offering us four cups of coffee in total during our stay, it did not compensate for the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced. Moreover, we were never relocated back to the original hotel we had booked.
Room was in a building opposite the main reception area.
Clean and a decent place to lay your head - very no frills. Fancy mood lighting controls, good air conditioning & Wi-Fi.
Really, no complaints!
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Portions were very small!!
When I showed this to the waitress, she became very defensive and started arguing loudly!!! To avoid embarrassing scene I decided to stop the arguments.
Needless to say, I am never going back or recommending any of my friends and family to waste their money on this place!
Ambience: Very Good. I will give 5 *
Food: Good. I will give 3 to 4* just because some items were warm but not hot
Staff: ok. I will give 2* because of following reasons:
1. One of my friend's tie was spoiled with Wine by one of staff member.
2. Another member unlit the candle in front of 9 month old causing the baby to cough
3. staff was falling over us to serve rather than coming around
4. 8 members on the table felt that we were not welcomed in the restaurant
Also, happy hours is for the restaurant, but we were told it's only valid on bar and not Dine are.
Overall, I would go to other Thai restaurants than coming back to Sri Nam.
Beware VEGETARIANS - most of their paste they use contains Shrimp paste.. also, Spring Roll etc all fried in the same oil as non vegetarian food. Poor rating as not true vegetarian despite saying 'V' on the menu
For Thai food, it was all very bland and extremely small portions, with the potatoes not even being properly cooked.
We were both hungry by the end of it and would definitely not be returning.
