Value: A solid price point for the Kensington location.
Service: The receptionist was highly welcoming and helpful, stepping in to assist when the self-check-in tablet glitched out.
Room Condition: Our lower-ground room felt visibly tired. The carpets looked unwashed, and the windows had visible mold.
Noise Levels: Soundproofing is practically nonexistent. Expect to clearly hear conversations and movement from the hallway and neighboring rooms.
The hotel appeared to be undergoing renovations during our stay (evidenced by protective plastic sheeting over the hallway carpets), so the worn conditions might be temporary.
2. The soundproofing was poor; noise from adjacent rooms and the hallway was clearly audible, severely impacting sleep quality.
3. The hotel lacked basic amenities. We were informed upon check-in that slippers had run out, indicating clear management oversight.
4. There's a high staff turnover and lax visitor management; we weren't even asked to register our passports upon check-in, posing a safety risk.
5. There were residual hairs on the bed, indicating substandard cleanliness.
