Premier Inn London Victoria in London

Worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed in, so disappointed. Room smells of damp, bathroom is tired and in need of some serious tlc. Shower would not warm up, so a luke warm wash was the best I could do. Toilet would not flush properly. Bed was comfortable and clean however, staff were also pleasant and welcoming. Handy enough for the tube and rail, only a 10 min walk at most. Don’t expect luxury in a Premier Inn but usually the room is to a better standard than this.

Hi, I think you have a serious training issue at your Victoria hotel. Premier Inn has always been my first choice. I have stayed at countless of your hotels all over the country and make many bookings for business trips each year. I’ve always had a great experience and service until yesterday. When I checked into your Victoria hotel yesterday I was greeted by a very serious man who insisted he needed my reference number to check me in. I explained that I didn’t have it and found it strange as I stayed at the same hotel last week and all they asked me for was my name. He said that if I didn’t have a reference number I would need ID. I explained that I have stayed in countless of your Inns over the last decade and have never been asked for a reference number and certainly never asked for ID. I also explained that when I use one of your self service check in terminals which rarely worked I can do so with just my name and no ID. He wasn’t interested and proceeded to give me a 2 minute patronising lecture which I didn’t understand as to why the reference number was critical. It was annoying, embarrassing, unprofessional and unnecessary. I had a reservation with your Victoria hotel for next which I immediately cancelled when I got to the room. I also have other bookings at that hotel for September which I’ll also be cancelling. This chap either needs some customer service training or just has an attitude problem and doesn’t like people.

The room smelt damp. The window which can not be opened was saturated, the net curtains had spots of black mould. The bathroom was not cleaned well, mould on shower head, gunk around taps. No phone in room to contact reception, so when we could not get the shower working in the morning, I had to go to reception to ask. I paid for an early check in from 11am, I arrived at 11:30am and the room was not ready, we had a tight schedule to get out for our bookings. Whole hotel looks tired.
