I came with my young daughter as a get away treat as had a difficult year.
The photos the hotel has put of the rooms are very misleading, if I had known the state of the room I wouldn't have booked as there are far better hotels for the value of money (paid £170 for one night double room).

Room is suited more for a single person, a tiny box room. The room itself very run down. In desperate need of a renovation.
Hairs all in bed that creeped us out, very dusty and strong smell of cheap air freshener.
Creaky floors that you can't sleep well as can hear every move from the room above, room opposite some very loud pipes. Its not worth it, stay somewhere else where you can get more for your money. The breakfast I would avoid as definitely not worth it.
Disappointing when you are fooled by the misled photos and wished I had read the reviews. Unhappy as wanted a nice trip away for my daughter that was dampened by the state of the room unfortunately.

Some front desk staff were rude and inefficient. Breakfast was good, but the elevator was out of order, and there were no slippers in the room.

Good location near Russell Square metro station with pubs, restaurants, and shops nearby. The room wasn't very big and overlooked an interior courtyard. There was noise from the ventilation pipes. The elevator wasn't working on arrival or departure. They offered to take our luggage to our room on the 3rd floor. No compensation was offered for this inconvenience. The hotel needs renovations.

Hotel ok as a base, staff friendly, breakfast the usual continental and English selections.
Room clean with tea and coffee facilities.
Unfortunately for the duration of our stay the lift wasn’t operating and being on the 5th floor was a little inconvenient.
Windows not double glazed so noise from outside of an evening kept us awake.

Staff were helpful and apologetic - deserving of a tip... if tha carried cash!

The service was excellent. The black guy at the front desk helped with my luggage. The room was spacious, clean, and the toiletries were high-quality.

Lovely, central hotel within easy walk of central London. Lovely buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Bedrooms comfortable and perfect as a base. My only criticism would be the very strong smelling air fresher used in the entrance/reception area which was too strong and synthetic smelling.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bowling was great but the food let it down. Christmas lunch was very greasy and a bit too much had been thrown in to everything. Dessert particularly disappointing. The Christmas burger could have done without the chestnuts and the stuffing on the top of the bun made it soggy. My cherry turnover was dry and a touch burnt. I swapped with a friend's creme brulee but that was so over flavoured no one wanted it. Was better last year.

All Star Lanes advertises itself as a 50s style diner, trying to emulate the atmosphere of the time. The furniture and style didn't dissapoint on that front and a number of items dotted around the place made for a more authentic experience.

I was disappointed with the food - the vegetarian starter was very bland, and the main came presented in a way which made it difficult to eat, and wasn't especially tasty either.

The bowling, however, was good fun and this made it worth the journey. Worth doing as part of a big group especially.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I attended with clients, we were told three times on the phone that we couldn't book more than one game in advance and had to book on the day. On the day, we were told there weren't any more lanes free for another 12 hours. Cheers. We were then kicked off of our lane without even getting half way through a game - no warning about there being a time limit (it was on the confirmation email - because we all read the confirmation email, don't we kids) and no prompt to say we were nearing the end of our game. We were kicked off the two lanes we booked, and sat down for a lunch for two hours, overlooking two other lanes which were COMPLETELY FREE FOR THE WHOLE TWO HOURS. The restaurant staff were very good, front of house really let themselves down.

Good place to go with large groups. Had our team Christmas dinner here. Was a good Night out with a Game of Bowling to start of and followed by dinner. Gave it 4 stars because the salmon came with a very spicy tomato sauce that really did not go with fish. So maybe avoid that. All else was great and it was a fun night out and great for bonding with colleagues.

I didn't bowl here, but I did drink some beer and ate some chicken wings. The beer and wings were great and the surroundings were pretty great. My only criticism is that I think wings should be butchered into drums and flats, rather than served up whole, but I'm not a baby and enjoyed eating them all the same. I like it here!
