Henrietta Experimental in London

My husband and I have stayed here a number of times now for work. We continue to return to this particular one as it’s always such an easy and comfortable stay.
The hotel staff are great! They’re very kind, extremely helpful and provide a great service.
There’s a nice relaxing bar area with a good selection of drinks and small selection of food.
The rooms are compact but clean, which is great.
Anything you need, there’s always someone there to help

It’s true: the rooms are quite small, it can get stuffy if you don’t run the AC, the walls are thin (but you’ll be fine in room 15 if your neighbors are adults about being considerate) it’s probably incredibly worse during the summer (I’m here during march) and the bathroom is barely separated by a glass wall so if you use it especially for #2 it’s quite intimate… but wow the location really cannot be beat.

Train service was down on a few lines on a Saturday night but you have tons of options. It’s in front of a police station so you are quite safe, and you’re steps away from incredible bars, restaurants, shops, the National Gallery, the Thames, and theaters. It’s a cheesy place to stay for sure but for a first time in the city it’s perfect.

I’m making this review purely because of Hadika. Hadika has been an absolutely amazing person throughout our entire stay. We stayed here for two nights and have stayed here frequently beforehand but I’ve never felt the need to leave a review. However, Hadika’s service was so good that I couldn’t let it go unacknowledged. She’s a total asset to the business - she has been so sweet, so helpful and so proactive in everything that we needed and I really appreciate the treatment we received. She’s the whole package! I hope your company has a reward system for employees because if they do, please ensure that she receives the highest reward possible - and I’m serious about that. Thank you!

I stayed here for one night and I will definitely stay here next time I go to London. The room was small but perfect for someone traveling solo. The location could not be more perfect it is right by covent garden which is one of my favorites areas. The staff were nice but I wish the security was better and not everyone could just walk in and take the elevator. That would make me feel a little more safe but overall a nice hotel for the price.

Friendly welcome and appreciated early check in. Central Covent Garden location on quiet no-traffic street; close to train/tube and many sights. Small but stylish room, very smart and clean (in second building across the street). Breakfast tasty - small buffet and cooked-to-order eggs. Good shower. Room would benefit from a chair and fixing early sash window. Not cheap but enjoyed my stay.

Quirky and superb. Room was really excellent- very comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Coffee, good TV etc. Staff were brilliant. Cocktails v good. Location just superb. Pedestrian street so no traffic noise. Cannot recommend highly enough for a boutique hotel option.

Welcoming staff, good size rooms, good choice of restaurants, bars, cafes on the doorstep. Would stay again.

This is the second time I stayed in the hotel. I came back because the first time I've been there, was brilliant!
So here is my 2026 update:
Cleanliness: superb
Room: all I need was there (clean and comfortable bed, and shower).
Matress comfortability: excellent.
Shower water pressure: fantastic.
Temperature of the room: perfect. Breakfast: full of different choices.
Staff: all of them really kind and friendly, starting with the receptionists, cleanears and bar tenders.
Location: can't be better! It doesn't matter if you decide to go to the river or the opposite direction because the hotel is in between.
Last year, I've done a small suggestion to become the perfect stayed and, guess what.... the changes has been made!
The toilets has shampoo and body wash in a very generous size.
I felt in love with Z hotel since my first time. Wishing more Z hotels around the world to do my staying affordable and simply perfect!

Staff on arrival where really helpful and showed us to our room, which was in the other building across the road.

Very quaint and charming set up. It doesn’t feel like a typical hotel, but more like a little apartment. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was despite its location.
Room was spotless, bed comfie. All around a great stay
