Good value for money in Los Angeles. The room was cleaned every day, which was very appreciated, and the hotel is well maintained overall. The rooftop is also nice for a hotel of this category.

The front desk staff was always correct and helpful during our stay. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel with services that match the price, this is a good option when visiting Los Angeles

Boutique hotel with beautiful rooftop potted garden, pool, and restaurant. Spectacular views. Nate is wonderful up there, as Azalea is at the front desk. Great location for museum. We will come back to stay again.

Dated hotel with aged facilities. Service is fine but unless you have to stay in this area, I'd avoid it.

There were roaches in my room. I was charged additional charges hoping I wouldn’t notice. Never that hotel again.

we just stayed at the Kimpton and it was fine. the rooms were clean but a lot if the fixtures (lamps, desks, table) were a little run down. What was MOST infuriating was when when we checked out they told us that there was a $35 daily amenities fee tacked onto our bill. PLEASE NOTE there were ZERO amenities. when I asked the person at the front desk what that included he said coffee and the gym. Mind you I NEVER even knew there was coffee available, when we checked in NOBODY told us that. I even asked for a water bottle one day and they informed me that they only give them at check in. More Importantly THERE WAS NO GYM!!! you could go to the gym down the street, however it was pouring rain every day we were in Los Angeles!!!! Just be transparent in your rates, there is NOTHING more infuriating than hotels sneaking an extra BS cost onto the already high enough cost because they want to squeeze few more dollars out of you. Amenities fees are for hotels that OFFER amenities!!!

The sheets feel cheap and almost plastic, like they might be waterproof?

They were very confused and uncommunicative at check in- she took all my information, then told me to wait a minute and walked away into a back closet for almost 10 minutes. Multiple other staff walked to and fro and not one asked if I was being helped. She came back and I asked what was going on, and she said she wasn’t sure if housekeeping was done yet and couldn’t get an answer. I asked if I could go up and look or just drop my bags and change because I had to go to an event, and she said no and that’s not allowed. I asked if there was another room they could upgrade or downgrade me into, I’d be happy to pay the differences, and she said she didn’t think so. Then walked away again. It was all very confusing and the entire process took almost 20 minutes. It would have been less confusing if there was more communication or acknowledgement from the front desk that it was not a great experience.

The facilities are a little old and to be honest it's not what I expected, but it's fine for a stay. The view is nice and the location is quite good.

Great location for LACMA, Peterson automobile museum, the Grove and Farmers market. Spacious room. Nice rooftop area. Plenty of options to eat nearby also.

Loved the atmosphere up on the rooftop. Nice lounging area. Drinks were awesome.

Great views, especially in the late afternoon. Good service but mediocre food that is slightly overpriced.

Most times I've come here have been fine but once the hostess told me that she couldn't seat me and my mother around 5pm on a Sunday because it was very busy and there was "a bit of a wait". Almost all of the tables were wide open.

I went to the bathroom and called them to ask if I could make a reservation for two right then to which they responded, "Of course we aren't busy at all.".

We promptly left.

Pros~Beautiful view! Delicious mid-afternoon lunch! I would say its one of the top spots to take in the view in Los Angeles that isn't too too high! Super easy to get to lots of places to park. Rooftop dining is always great! Cons~a little tight between tables & the wait staff seemed to be a little off with ordering requests, food delivery as special requested order, and other items needed to the course of the lunch, but OVERALL it was a GOOD lunch experience with a REALLY BEAUTIFUL VIEW!
