Great location, efficient staff and services.
Overall well organized and perfect for a short stay having a good value for money in a quite elegant and posh area of LA.

This hostel was really clean and pleasant. The shared bathrooms were spotless, and the shared kitchen was very well equipped. I actually regret staying here for only one night during my trip to LA🥲🥲 If I ever travel to LA alone again, I would definitely stay at this hostel again😀 The staff were very friendly. On the first floor, there is a shared kitchen and a laundry room ( with both washers and dryers), as well as a space where you can play pool and board games.

The guests in the room were a mixed bag, with varying levels of behavior.

Awesome stay, located in a very convenient and accessible area. There’s so much to do and see in the area. The hostel itself was very clean and the facilities were well taken care of. I was also glad that I was able to use some facilities even after checkout (but before 10pm) since I had a very late night flight. Overall, if im ever in the area or have a long layover I’ll definitely stay here again. Courtyard was a nice area. Staff was so friendly too. Thank you!!!

It was a really clean and satisfying stay! Since check-in started at 3 p.m., I left my luggage at the accommodation and went for a walk along the beach. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, but if I come back again, I’d definitely love to stay here once more.

I have two suggestions:
1. The soundproofing is extremely poor; I'd strongly recommend carpeting all the floors.
2. The breakfast was simply awful. For the same price, hotels I've booked in Venice Beach provide complimentary breakfast.

Aside from these points, everything else was fantastic. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom in my room was well-designed with separate toilet and shower areas. My single room had a window, letting natural sunlight stream onto the bed, and offered a pleasant view of trees outside. The room was also well-equipped with an ironing board, an iron, and a spacious desk, which I found very convenient.

The location is superb; Santa Monica Pier and the beach are just a few minutes' walk away, and I enjoyed sunbathing there every day. The front desk service was excellent; they even switched to Mandarin when speaking to me. They also offered complimentary luggage storage after check-out, and guests could even return to the hotel to wait for their ride or charge their phones, which was a huge plus.

I've stayed in many hostels, but this one was by far the cleanest and a really fun place, thanks to the events they hosted. The cleanliness was outstanding.

Of the places I've stayed in LA – this hostel and the Samsun Hollywood Hotel near the Walk of Fame – this one is simply miles better. It's incredibly clean, feeling even cleaner than many hotels. Absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it!

- Sure the location is great, but they are letting in some weird people stay in the hostel. Over our stay we saw: 1) a bunch of people that stole our food (thank you staff for being supportive, we know its not your fault!), 2) some customers that havent showered for quite a while (i get it you are a charity, but a basic sense check would be a good idea when admitting customers...i couldnt sleep from the stench one night), 3) some other customers that we never saw in hostels around the world - tip of the hat to the guy with the ankle monitor....
- Then there are all the homeless and crazy people outside the hostel - many of them especially in the night

Waste of time and money. I was do dissapointed by this restaurant. The hostess was sterile and didn't seem happy to be there. Although the food seems reasonably priced, the quality is so poor that I definitely feel ripped off. I had the chicken and it was OK. The swordfish was overcooked. One person ordered salmon and it was undercooked and the vegetables were burnt. The waiter didn't check at all to see how the food was. When we complained about the salmon, the manager was rude, argumentative and hostile. He treated his clients with contempt. Overall, service and food was below average. I would never go back or recommend this place.

Quite expensive. Ordered salad and dressing on the side and main dish.
Salad was swimming in the dressing they forgot to put in on the side. The food was ok not really tasty

Sonoma Wine Garden makes it very evident that if you are a person of color ( my group was a mix of African American, Hispanic, and Asian women) that you are not welcomed in their establishment. The rude attitude and verbal abuse that my friends and I received from management clearly demonstrated their RACIST corporate culture. After placing our food orders, we were forced to move to the back of the restaurant as a manger proceeded to grab our belongings from the table. We had already been seated for over 30 minutes and had not even received the beverages that we had ordered. The table that they moved our group of 6 to was extremely small (probably meant for 3 people) and in a walkway. The manager complained that "people" always wanted free stuff and that we can leave their establishment if we didn't like the treatment. Through our interactions with multiple members of management we quickly understood that it was not just one RACIST employee, but that the company had a corporate culture of RACISM and BIGOTRY fueled by intolerance of people who looked differently than their average blue eyed blond haired customers. It had been a few years since I had encountered racism in a business setting. I write this review not to hurt the business at Sonoma Wine Garden, but to prevent other people from feeling the shame and pain that each RACIST encounter leaves on your life.

The most disgusting and the dirtiest restroom for a place which served drinks and food. Discussed it with the store manager, he agreed and told me go ahead and post it. The fact these guys are so busy, doesn’t mean they can compromise public safety. I hope someone from the corporation office reads these comments.

Starbucks Starbucks Starbucks....why has this place gone down in quality. Who ever manages the place for one needs to install more power surges. I for one needed to charge my phone and there were no power surges. Also the one that I did find didn't work. The CEO of Starbucks needs to revamp this place. Also there ARE too many homeless people hanging around there. I want to go to a place, have a coffee and be able to charge my phone in peace. This place has become pathetic.

The worst Starbucks I have ever been. I was at the store at 10:45 pm; one of the staff was cleaning the restrooms. She put a sign restroom closed. They didn't want any one to use the restrooms as they need to keep them clean for the next day. They are sending all customers to a public restroom at 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica. Really very lazy staff. I am guessing what their manager will be !!!!!

This place is/was great. The drinks, food and service are still top notch BUT, as is typical these days they've made changes that lower the experience.1) To wit; there are no longer any electrical plugs 2) they've taken away a lot of seating. There is an area to the left when you come in that could easily accommodate four tables. They were there once but some "manager " decided to create consumer angst by minimalist seating. 3) to compensate for that they crank the music (abusic) up loud enough to blow out your eardrums and prevent any meaningful conversation. 4) on the outside they've removed the sun umbrellas so plan on getting skin cancer if you want to sit outside for more than five minutes-way to go Starbucks-take our money and risk our health.5) with the volume of people coming here there is always a HUGE line for the bathroom. So when your coffee or tea "hits" your bladder you better have a plan B or you s--- out of luck-pun intended. They had two bathrooms here but again management decided to create more consumer angst By restricting access 6) some company built a high wall outside next door so the once wonderful people watching view is now restricted.
You can do better Starbucks!!!

Food and drinks are good. Service is decent, but a little slow while they're busy. Still worth it.

I just love their decorations! And guess what? We ended up with free drinks from the manager (they served us twice) because our server was taking too long. Nice place to hang out with friends, and watch sport events.

worst service ever. I remember coming here with my aunt a few weeks ago and we were told that we could sit at the bar until a space at the table sections were available. We ordered food and drinks at the bar while waiting, and as soon as we placed our order our name was called. We then told the bartender - who was really nice btw - and she told us that would be no problem and that we would have to pay for our food and drinks at the bar. We then went over to the server outside and explained how we just made our order at the bar as soon as we received the message that seats were available. She told us very rudely that there was no option and that we would have to remain at the bar and eat where we placed our order. We tried explaining to her nicely that we were not told of this "rule" when we spoke with the bartender, as she said it was fine before and let us know that we would have to pay first. After a few minutes the server told us it was fine and sat us in the outside balcony area. Mind you, there was not an ounce of decency when she was telling us that it would be fine and we were basically ignored the whole time we were sitting outside. Numerous times we tried to make contact with the server but we were ignored and left there. Giving up, we just decided to finish up, and when I was trying to get another server to ask our original server to give us our bill - she told me off in such a rude manner that she was not my waiter and that we should just go back to the bar. I'm appalled, the cattiness and the level of passive aggressive behavior we received is beyond me. This isn't high school. It's a bar where if you are selling food and drinks to customers, some level of respect and service is expected. This left such a bad taste in my mouth. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who realized this place had terrible service

A definite place to stop by while exploring the Santa Monica Place and/or Santa Monica Pier. I was seated very quickly and got great service. The fried pickles were great! The fried mac & cheese bites were ok but would have tasted better if they were made of home made mac & cheese and not the box. The eggs and enchiladas were delicious along with the grilled cheese. This is a great stop with a massive menu that will allow anyone to find something they like. They have everything from burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, breakfast, tacos and enchiladas. A great breakfast/lunch spot while chilling at the beach.
