I like casa Del Mar better. Rooms seem more updated. I felt our room was a bit tired looking. Caulk needed in toilet area against shower wall. Staff excellent.

The room and room service were impeccable. Access to rooms was a bit complicated, and the waiting time for check-in was excessive.

California elegance by the beach. Beautiful environment with quality details everywhere. Had one of the best massages in the spa. I will be returning!

Rm 532 ocean view… wonderful with jacuzzi bath & candle, Dyson hairdryer. The toiletries were so delicately scented,
Hotel lounge area is used for a lot of external meetings, which can be noisy and not resident friendly, and a friend we dined with said the lounge is extremely busy at weekends. So, not sure what areas they have for hotel guests. Beach and boardwalk lovely, but a lot of homeless men around and not sure l would feel safe at night out walking.

Shutters is in a great location with great views of the ocean and beach. The room and the bathroom were super nice. Everyone on the staff that we encountered were nice, helpful and tried to make our stay great.

Good as it is by the beach but the food is not very fancy even if the place looks like it. When you buy a 100$ bottle you hope to have a taste before they serve all glasses even if the wine is good.

Simply put; It is almost Cheesecake Factory with three times the bill. This goes for the food, decor and hygiene. Staff is ok but not as experienced. Not the reason for the one star but I had a half an inch wood piece in my Shrimp Tempura Roll. Showed it to the waitress, she asked if I would like to get something else. I was almost finished and didn't go for it. We had a little over $400 bill and they still charged the Shrimp Tempura... Hotel and the restaurant is located at a great location however they should either change the name of that section to something else or charge half the prices.

Beautiful restaurant, but the food is nasty. They charge you all this money and the food is not even fresh, taste like it has been sitting around all day. You might as well save some money and go to the cheesecake factory, at least there food has taste.

Wow!!! What a find everything was amazing my husband and I left full and speechless... Halibut was like eating delicious air and the Chicken Marsala was amazing... I Wis I would have snapped some pics but I was enjoying it too much...

I have had dinners and lunches here for years. Quality food and service. Inside the hotel, so perhaps that may put some people off.
