I stayed at Marisol Coronado for three nights and had a truly pleasant experience from the moment I checked in. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was quaint and well-appointed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel’s location is excellent—situated on a quiet street, yet conveniently close to everything. The coffee and breakfast area were beautifully...
I can take no credit for discovering this gem of a hotel; that honor goes to my lady friend. The word that sprang to mind on first viewing was "quaint." It is something of a period piece, externally reminiscent of the 1930's and earlier, a time and fashion (the Golden Age of Aviation) to which I am particularly partial. The staff, even at the late hour we arrived, was friendly and welcoming. Stepping...
Room was wonderful. Staff and location was excellent
Great location. Clean, great amenities, continental breakfast was best I've had. This place is awesome for a quick water adjacent stay.
Missing a parking, 2 hour during the day are not convenient.
Small and quaint! Near Coronados main area. I loved its clean and staff was just way to nice!

Pros: excellent location. Little Italy is one block away. 7 mins walk to the sea. Clean. Well managed. No staff during off time but with the cleaelr instrctions they emailed you it's easy to find your way to everything: gate code, keys, wifi password, etc. Cons: It's right next to the high way. My room is at the corner with high way to the front and local to the left. Extremely noisy. If you are...
I chose this hotel for my wedding night and accidentally booked a room with a shared bathroom. The wonderful woman who checked us in switched our room and took such great care of us. So beware of what type of room you book as this is a restored house and not every room has its own bathroom.. We liked it so much that we decided to stay here every year for our anniversary. The house itself is old and...
The rooms are not clean, there was hair in my pillow and it was not my hair. The room smelled really bad and Parking is really hard you have to park to the road and it is really dangerous
The hotel is in little Italy so it's very close to some great bars and restaurants. The hotel looks nice, clean, and modern on the outside and inside. My room was with the king bed and spa tub. It looked clean although the building itself looks older. I'm pretty easy to please so I was okay with the room for the price. A roach did come out of the AC unit my first night but I killed it and that was...
The hotel was really cute and clean. A variety of rooms to choose from depending on your price point. We stayed in the spa king and the bathroom has a bit more wear than the rest of the room but overall, both were well kept. The free breakfast was a bit lacking but I try not to complain about free stuff so no big deal. All of the staff were very kind and attentive. The hotel is walking distance/short...
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...
We got a king room. The room was nice and everything was very clean. However when we arrived the room was hot/humid. The ac was very loud but did it's job. There is a nice breakfast area with fruit yogurt toast and muffins but no eggs or meat. There...

My stay was incredible. The staff were friendly, accommodating and pleasant. They took the time to make you feel welcome.
Excellent, with a great atmosphere and fantastic views.
I stayed at level 6 which is one lever above level 5. Level is breakfast area. And you can hear the water pipe sound from the kitchen below
Location was nice, breakfast was simple but great to sustain for the day!
Good location and breakfast is very nice. In the morning, you can walk near bayfront.
Location is good, close to the bay, love to walk. Breakfast is included, the variety of breakfast is considerably good for hotels in the US. Service is impressive!

Made my reservation 2 weeks ago for a king room. Go to check in and it got switched to 2 queen beds. Person at front desk was nice. Got free parking for the night. However, the 2 queen beds were definitely not queen sized beds. Maybe 2 full size but not queen. Room only had 1 roll of tp but they brought some extra oretty quickly. The chair in the room looked bloodstained and some other kind of...
Primer Room is spacious and cozy with good nature light, have everything like kitchen much better than a Airbnb. Nice service is provided at front desk. Buffer breakfast is good. Location is convenient nearby airport and other tourist spots. Especially Ron from shuttle team helped us with the airport transport to the hotel. And he figured out everything for us including flight terminal. Thanks so much...
The hotel was clean and smelled amazing. The staff were so kind. My room was nice. I will definitely stay here again when I travel to San Diego again.
I have stayed here several times for multiple days and have been pleased every time. The rooms are well insulated and quiet. The area is safe, clean and walkable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly stay here again.
We stayed one night due to a canceled connecting flight. The hotel was chosen in large part because it advertised an airport shuttle service, however the shuttle was unable to pick us up from the airport nor shop us off. They apparently would serve their customers better if they had a bigger van.
Also, breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30 which isn’t helpful for people with early flights.
Yes. Clean room. Great shower. Good breakfast. Temperature control a bit off and bed too mushy

The rooms were very nice and clean, BUT one of the 3 rooms we got, smelled strongly of marijuana 🤢 Staff sent a cleaner in to help deodorize it and it helped but still did smell like marijuana.
Kimberly was amazing and so incredibly helpful! She was very kind and understanding and did everything she could to help!
I only rated a 3 bc of the smell.
Booked a room at this hotel to attend my brother’s graduation. This hotel is in a great location. Only 10 minutes away from the Marines' base. Kimberly checked us in. She was helping someone when we walked in. The lady did not have a reservation. Kimberly was able to get the lady a room within minutes. Kimberly was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She even checked us in early after we were...
The location is good. Bed was comfortable, basically breakfast provided.
Rosa and all the employees are so helpful, attentive, and kind. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a variety of hot and cold items. The computer and printer in the lobby was very useful. Several decent fast food restaurants within walking distance is a bonus! Thank you, Rosa, her team, and Comfort Inn for making our stay here more smoothly literally bringing COMFORT to us after long days...
The room had an extremely strong musty smell. All of my clothes now stink after staying there just one night. Breakfast was below average but still ok, except coffee. It was very watered down and the dispenser was disgusting. Coffee in the room tasted rotten too. Can't recommend this hotel. Location is fine - I needed to be within walking distance to a trolley station and this hotel is.
My Family and I had the best experience ever . Can’t wait to book again . The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Having this hotel booked for me by a third party and then reading the reviews afterwards, I had mixed thoughts of how my 5 night stay would turn out. Noise- yes it can be noisy if your room faces the freeway. Mine did but the noise wasn’t loud enough to keep me from sleeping. A sound machine via phone etc would be useful. Food- lots of complaints of food running out etc. The food was always stocked...
So I booked a King room and had to check in rather fast to get to our valentine's reservation so I never checked the room. We got back late and when we got to the room it was 2 queen not even close to the room we wanted. Wasn't made aware of any circumstances or told the room was changed.
The room was awful, located right below the breakfast area. It was extremely noisy; they shouldn't assign rooms like that.
Spacious room. there was also small firness at the third floor. During our stay, there are many guests, but the breakfast was filled up quickly. We wait for just less than few minutes to grab some.

Clean and room quiet. Friendly staff. I felt secure in this hotel. Wish there was easier access to public transportation, but all in all a happy experience.

Stayed here for event at Snapdragon Arena. Staff was very kind. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.
Need to change up breakfast. Had same options for 4 days
Front staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was a great convenience. Room was bigger than a standard hotel room. Property was clean and well maintained.
Very friendly staff, quick check-in, spacious room, and very clean! Great place to stay!
Breakfast was amazing but the rooms had a smell of dog urine and the beds were horrible the most uncomfortable I ever slept in
Overall nice stay, but a few things to know: Breakfast was difficult to access as very crowded and out of options. Parking charge is nuts. The pool is outdoors, so seasonal. Staff was nice and friendly. I’d say 3.5 out of 5. Nice area, easy highway access, lots of options for fiod and shopping
Only issues I had was AC was leaking, so rug underneath was wet. Notified hotel staff and they could not accommodate a new room, so they offered extra towel to place under. Other issues was when I checked in, staff asked if I wanted cleaning service the next day, which I stated and did, and they never came. Other than that, hotel is clean, breakfast is decent, nothing special, but helped save money...

Heather and Erik were incredibly hospitable from the moment we arrived. They greeted us warmly, took the time to answer all of our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and attentiveness truly made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We really appreciated their welcoming nature and would gladly stay again.
The parking situation is somewhat inconvenient because the lot is detached from the hotel, making it difficult to transport luggage to the entrance after a long drive. While the room was clean and the staff was attentive, the studio layout was surprisingly cramped and felt significantly smaller than other studio hotels I have experienced.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Diego Downtown is a solid option if you want a clean, convenient place to stay near the downtown core without paying luxury-hotel prices. The rooms feel modern and practical, with a layout that works well for a quick weekend trip or a longer stay. I appreciated having space to spread out and the overall vibe was quiet enough to actually rest after being out in the...
Had a wonderful stay at this place. It is at a very approachable distance from zoo, sea world and many other attractions of the city. The staff was amazing and I want to give a huge shout out to Isaiah, Syria, Crystal, Heather, Erick and Tera for their hospitality and amazing service. They really went an extra mile in helping us in everything. The kitchen staff and the housekeeping staff was great...
Amazing niche hotel that was VERY accommodating for myself and my group. We spent last weekend here and booked over 5 rooms. The hotel is small and cozy, and is over all very clean. Special shoutout to Heather and the rest of the front house staff for being so accommodating and kind, you guys we're a major part of our highlight.
This hotel did its job. We were only there for one night. Friendly staff and right in the middle of downtown.

Great location in the heart of Little Italy. Walkable to everything. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the free Crumbl cookie vouchers were a nice bonus to the trip!
There is a $100 deposit when you check in, and unfortunately the refund may take a while to be processed (longer than other hotels I've noticed).
The hotel is located in Little Italy, in a convenient location for getting around.
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and adequately sized, though some furnishings showed signs of wear.
There is a free water dispenser on the ground floor, which was a useful touch.
Breakfast, however, was disappointing. Although included, the selection was minimal (croissants,...
The room is very small and parking is inconvenient.
A hotel in a great location, walking distance to the water and Seaport Village. Very good service and clean. There is a large fridge and microwave! However the amenities are old and the bed sinks onwards. Overall a great value option.
It was conveniently located in Little Italy and the surrounding atmosphere was nice. The facilities were small and simple, but the staff were all friendly, so I had a great time staying there.

The main reason I write this review is that they didn’t honor this prepaid reservation. They charged me at the higher new rate and asked me to try to get refund for the prepaid amount. I might go to court with them.
Not the best experience. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and unfortunately I could not connect to the wifi. Worse still, when I called the front desk for help with connecting to the wifi (after having done all the troubleshooting recommended on the Holiday Inn Express website and via Reddit suggestions) I was given a number to call. When I called that number from my room it said the call...
The location is excellent, less than a ten-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast is included, with a wide variety.
The front desk was very helpful. A very nice hotel.
We visited San Diego for my son's graduation. While there are many hotels in the area, we chose the Holiday Inn Express. It's conveniently located near the Fashion Valley Light Rail Station, about a ten-minute walk away, and the Route 88 bus stops right outside. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is excellent, and hot water and coffee are available 24 hours a day in the lobby. The front desk staff...
The hotel has a simple and clean environment, but the breakfast is too simple and feels too shabby. The overall service is acceptable, but the location is excellent and it is very convenient for sightseeing.
Good location, good value for money, always choose Holiday Inn

Nice place. Friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent. Paying for parking was the only thing i didn’t enjoy about it. But all in all excellent place to stay
The Handlery Hotel stay was great. Rooms were clean and the pool area was open even with the Rain on new year’s 2026. We got food and drinks from their pool area bar at a good price, the food was great. It’s a little outdated and it could use some upgrades or amenities added, but it had the San Diego look. One thing I would say is take out the Daily parking fee that is not added until you check in...
Wonderful weekend with my sweet man. We liked the amenities and restaurant and lounge (bartender was great).
I tried canceling my room because my daughter's plan changed. She was going into bootcamp and having a hard time. I understand their cancellation policy I just thought they would take into consideration the reason as to why I had to cancel. If not a full refund maybe a partial.
There is no elevator, so it is difficult to carry large luggage up to the second floor, but being able to do laundry is a great thing during a long trip. The bar is small but has drinks and food, and being able to eat by the pool was very convenient.
The tv reception was fuzzy at best. The pool bartenders were excellent!

Good location with In and Out & Mcdonald’s nearby.
Convenient and safe parking place.
Delicious breakfast.
Generally, good.
The only thing not good is only one small desk in the room.
I get one toothbrush from receptionist.
It's old and poorly cleaned, but the location is perfect.
Was good. Service was excellent. Facilities was good. Did not get chance to eat food. Overall, for the price was a good experience.
Breakfast doesn't have much verities. Garage entrance to hotel is misleading. There's no sign.
The room is spacious, and there's a McDonald's nearby.
Room was very nice and surprisingly quiet throughout the night. Thanks.

El Cordova is a historical type of hotel with lovely Spanish touches in the room I stayed in (#5) - Spanish tiles in the bathroom also a small kitchen area with a stove, microwave, and a refrigerator. I was also surprised that this room had a small living room in addition to the bedroom. Truly the hotel makes walking easy to Coronado beach as well as all of the stores and restaurants. Previous reviews...
We have enjoyed numerous stays at the El Cordova. The room we had this trip had some cleanliness issues including grungy bath floors & dirt build up on baseboards. The only towel bar was broken. They need to take room 118 out of service for a deep clean.
Property is beautiful with lots of shops all around with plenty of dining options all in walking distance. Highly recommended eating at Miguel’s as they have amazing food and drinks.
They make you pay a courtesy fee, even if you don’t use the amenities. No parking except for a small parking structure where other people take the parking.
This property surprised us. Clean, well-managed, and very well situated hotel across the street from the Hotel del Coronado. The room was spacious, clean, and had a small kitchen, which made our day! It is an old property lacking some accessibility options. The wi-fi is also very spotty, necessitating and room change. Otherwise, this was a very nice property we would stay at again.
Unfortunately, the alarm for the restaurant business went off all night long, keeping us up. The hotel tried to help the n the middle of the night but it took a while. All said, the hotel is a great location; walking distance to many great restaurants and hotel Del Coronado

La Jolla Cove Suites was a good experience. We had a nice room with a great view of the cove from the third floor. The area is VERY busy and crowded during the day but pretty mellow after dark. The sound of the seals can keep you awake, even with the slider closed, so bring earplugs!
I don’t know how I ended up paying nearly $800 for this poorly maintained cheap motel room. The bathroom is for tiny people, the elevator looks like it’s about to break and the ceiling of the hallway is falling apart. The only positive thing about this place is the location. Definitely not worth the price tag
Cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired; I found a used handkerchief on the floor. Perfect location.
The location of the accommodation was great, but the facilities and service were not that great.
The pictures are very misleading. I thought I was reserving a remodeled room at La Jolla Cove Suites and I was booked at the Terrace. The room was dirty, the toilet rocked when you sat on it, and furniture was old and worn. Also , there was a crazy amount of stairs to climb to get to our room. In addition, there was also a roof top wedding right across from our room. We were not told of the event...

Very low water pressure, very little hot water for the shower. Mattress could be rotated or just new Mattress. My bed saged down. But other than than that the room was great, very peaceful and quite.
Loved the staff very welcoming.
Room was good and comfortable.
Perfect location. This is our 3rd time here and definitely will come back.
I find the location very convenient to walk every where I want to go, and easy access to get transportation from it.
unfortunately it gets very loud in the middle of the night and early morning...
An extremely clean and well kept vintage property. I loved the traditional hotel qualities, mended with modern amenities. A repeat stay is probable.
The room was spacious and very clean. Maybe they upgraded me as a surprise without informing me—I’m not sure! 😇 I love the classic style of everything here. The location is also very convenient. There’s a health-focused supermarket called Krisp nearby, where you can buy healthy food and other essentials.
