Cozy hotel in SFO, walking distance to Union Square and other places to see in SFO. There is a BigBus stop 2 minutes away. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, valet parking was also great. Rooms were cozy, with mini ref and coffee, bathtub was a pleasant surprise. There is only one small elevator though and that is the only small downside.

The hotel has a good central location, close to BART. It has a definite style both in the lobby and the rooms. I could only locate a single elevator but it was not busy. There is a coffee shop in the lobby and a bar which is open, I belive, until 1AM. My room had a coffee maker and a refrigerator. The fridge had a beer, that was was previously opened and a ´bloody mary´ during upon arrival. There was also a selection of snacks and sweets in the room. My room was towards the backyard and therefore quiet.

The location was good however that's the only thing to recommend this hotel. The website is absolutely photoshopped. The room was dirty with a layer of dust on all surfaces. It has a window AC with plantation shutters so you can either choose between AC or privacy basically. Found hair in one of the beds. The ceiling fan for my room had a remote that apparently also controlled the ceiling fan and light in my neighbors room. We had daily light fights because we were not on the same schedule. I turned the light on at 6 am when they were sleeping and they would then turn it on the next night at 1 am when they got back to their room and I was sleeping. The restaurant was closed and the front desk told me it "might be open later in the week if it passes health inspection". It never opened while I was there. Honestly, this might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at and that included a place in Florida where the tv caught fire. I think I preferred that one because at least the beds were clean. Dreamforce pricing was absurd at $799 a night in this absolute nightmare. Avoid at all costs.

The room was unexpectedly spacious, spotlessly clean and with all the usual features. The staff were very helpful and hospitable.

Stayed at hotel during remodeling. So there was a dumpster out front and the bar and coffee area where out of service. The internet was out so the TV wasnt working. However the room and atmosphere where great. I will return when all.amenities are open.

The property was still under construction. Nothing was open yet like it looks on the pictures. The rooms were okay but did have a weird smell. The disappointment comes from all the homeless there is around that area.

This was my first time back in SF after about 10 years and I wanted to stay closer to all the main tourist areas and I came across the Tilden hotel. A very cute, small, centrally located boutique hotel. The hotel had a retro but also very modern feel that made me feel extremely welcomed. The hotel isn’t that big and can be kind of hard to miss if you don’t keep your eye out for it, but the staff was impeccable and catered to our needs. They were generous with their service and also assisted with directions and luggage as well. The gym is rather small but does have usable equipment to get a good workout in, but don’t expect a full blown gym with a ton of room, but in a pinch, it’s perfect. The Tilden Hotel is located in the Tenderloin district which can come off as alarming, but it’s a downtown area and like all downtown area’s there’s people roaming around the streets at all hours. The area is very safe and well lit and I felt very comfortable walking down the main streets late at night. The biggest plus for me though might have been the easy accessibility from the airport. We jumped off the plane at SFO, took the BART directly from the airport straight to the adjacent street of the Tilden Hotel and walked out of the train station and to our hotel in 5 minutes. I will gladly come back and gladly stay at the Tilden Hotel! Thank you everybody!!!

Stayed at Tilden Hotel for 5 nights. The room was as presented in the pictures, fresh and clean. Slight minus for poor sound proof, you could hear the talk from other rooms. Luckily the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. The location is great, short walking distance to union square, cable car and other attractions. The amount of homeless people on the area is shocking but we felt quite safe when walking around, even during the night time.

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, it was great. All the amenities with onsite cafe and bar. All the staff were super helpful and friendly, with a great attitude. Shout out to Jasmine who helped to get more detailed bill on check out! Would recommend the hotel & would definitely stay again when I’m back.
