Nice hotel, I'd definitely stay here again. The environment is pleasant, and the front desk staff were very friendly. It's super close to Chinatown, just a few minutes' walk, and you can even walk to Fisherman's Wharf in about 20 minutes. Lombard Street is also nearby! The price was quite reasonable too.

I booked this hotel because the reviews said it was convenient for scenic spots. However, upon check-in, I found the room to be very small, with dim lighting. The bedside lamp was broken, and there was no main light in the room; it relied on a few small lights for illumination, making it even darker than the bathroom. Luckily, I only stayed one night. The facilities are also very old. I genuinely don't recommend this place.

The value for money is pretty good, and the location is convenient—Chinatown is just a 15-minute walk away. Since it's on a slope, there aren't many homeless people around. However, because of the slope, walking can be hard on the knees, so I wouldn't recommend it for elderly guests or those with mobility issues.

The location was excellent and felt quite safe. It's very close to the cable car lines, making nearby attractions easily accessible. Plus, there are many dining options within walking distance. The lobby staff were very welcoming. My only complaint is that the room was a long and winding walk from the elevator, which was quite inconvenient when carrying luggage. I also found the TV's side placement a bit puzzling.

The location couldn't be better – right in the very heart of the city center. You can see the cable cars right outside your door. Getting around is incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of tourist attractions nearby. The room was quite spacious, offering a decent amount of space to move around. Breakfast, however, was very basic.

The hotel and its guests had a very American vibe. It's located on a hill, so the walk up can be a bit tiring, but the neighborhood itself is clean and safe. Right outside the hotel, you'll find a famous 'Inception' photo-op spot. The hotel provides unlimited bottled water and a kettle, which is great. And don't miss the pizza at their restaurant – it's delicious!

On my self-guided trip to San Francisco, I had pre-booked this hotel through Ctrip. The location is excellent, with a cable car stop right outside the door that serves all three lines. I'd recommend walking a short distance past Union Square to the Powell Street cable car turnaround to purchase the $15 day pass there, as it's quite a good deal. Breakfast wasn't included with my reservation, but Chinatown is just a walk away, offering plenty of Cantonese dining options. The hotel room itself was decent. The only downside was that one of the three elevators was consistently out of service, leading to long waits during peak hours. The elevators are quite old, and the jolt and shudder every time they stopped on a floor often left guests inside exchanging exasperated smiles.

Initially, the front desk staff was very friendly and assigned me a spacious room. However, that room faced the street and was incredibly loud. They promptly moved us to a much quieter, inward-facing room and even compensated us with breakfast vouchers. The service was truly excellent. The hotel's location is also fantastic; there's a cable car stop right outside the door, and many places are within easy walking distance. My one tip would be to avoid the street-facing rooms.
