Vibrant and welcoming entry up a flight of elegant wood trim stairs. A stark contrast to the front desk staff. We waited first for her to arrive and then even longer for her to figure out the reservation. And then we arrived to our room, the maid mentioned in Spanish that she while she bleaches that bathroom, smells to make sure the bedding doesn't stink. I don't know if she was kidding. The bathroom was indeed pristine. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The decor was cute. There were holes in the wall and chipped paint, but not enough to detract from the overall appeal of the place. At check out, the same front desk lady was way more pleasant. Over the phone, she was a pain about late check out, but nice, for once when we turned in our key. Also, FYI the window at check in may smell like curry but not in the room.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. All the furniture in the hotel is covered in sweat stains like they were found by the dumpster after a heavy rain. I've never seen such a dirty hotel. When I went to take a shower in the morning, the water came out a nice dark brown color. You can easily hear the club next door through the walls, that are almost as clean as the chairs. There is no elevator. I have a bad back and had to lug my suitcase up two flights just to get to the front desk, and another two to get to the room. Once I got there, the little old woman at the front desk spent a half-hour searching through a stack of at least a hundred printed out reservations. Not only did she not have the password to the computer, but she had the entire week of reservations all in the same stack... and they weren't organized.

The hallway doors stay open all day and night. People often smoke near them. Smoke wafts into the room through the cracks in the door frame. It is cold most nights. Thankfully they will provide blankets. There is a receptionist but they are rarely available. The maids clean only upon request. I have found my room door open several times. I came back after a short run to grab food to find a maid standing near by telling me my room door was "left open". Recently two I phone 11 pros were stolen out of my room and when I asked the management to allow me to view surveillance they did not cooperate. Stay home.

If you like being miserable in a colorful place, this is the hotel for you! Room was super humid, no ac, shower didn't work, towels like sand paper, the hand soap gave me a rash, no ice, vending machine down the hall was empty, window to the outside was not to the outside but to neighbors window, Ridiculous rules, no iron, and uncomfortable beds.

It's fine. They're decent cooks. It's just that it's a fusion take on Sichuan food that makes it less good than just straight-up Sichuan food. I think the term is "own goal." I just wish they had better taste.

This ain’t your ordinary Chinese-inspired joint. You’ll first learn of this when you walk in and see the giant dragon sprawled across the ceiling over the entire length of the restaurant, or the cut-out of Michael Jordan in the back corner across from the kitchen.

To navigate to Mission Chinese, look for the sign under Lung Shan Restaurant. If you make it that far, you’re in for some tasty bites. I especially recommend the Thrice Cooked Bacon and Rice Cakes - it’s savory, it’s got a little kick and the rice cakes are just pillows of chewy deliciousness that ties it all together.

When in SF, this should be a stop.

First location of Mission Chinese! I headed here for a late dinner around 10pm and still had to wait a good 20 minutes or so. It's located in the Mission in a bit of a dodgy area but close enough to the BART so it's not that bad. After getting a table, we ordered the salt cod fried rice and the lamb noodles. The noodles were pretty good- spicy and flavorful. But our salt cod fries rice never came. I had to remind the waitress after a half hour wait. The service overall was very poor as it was hard to get the waiters' attention. Also, you have to step through the kitchen to get to the bathroom which definitely turned me off as I got a view of the cleanliness. It irked me a bit and made me question the sanitary level. Overall food was good but I don't think it was any outstanding Chinese food.

Horrible service! After promised a spot in 40 minutes, we stood in line for two hours. Only to be told to leave in a very rude manner. The same hostess that promised us a spot said: 'if you don't have an online reservation, I'm not even talking to you!' Well so much for a welcoming experience. We left and I'm never coming there again!

Super unique spot. Great for food eating and people watching. Chicken Fat Rice was incredible flavor-wise but a little cool temp-wise by the time it got to us. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

This is my favorite restaurant in the city! Utterly delicious food, hard to believe it's healthy too. Every time I take a bite conversation halts. The taste is all I can focus on. ?

I tried a number of menu options and would have been entirely underwhelmed if it wasn't for the Eggplant Tacos. They had a freshness and richness that the other dishes lacked. Of all the things I tried they're the only ones I'd return for. Otherwise the staff were great and the atmosphere was nice. The menu could do with a bit of a refresh

Apparently this is a pretty popular restaurant, but I was very underwhelmed. Dined alone, so they seated me at the bar. Most uncomfortable bar stools I've ever sat in. Jammed in with less than a half inch between each seat, and I'm not exaggerating. And there were only 5 people sitting at the bar. They crammed us all together.

The happy hour nachos were okay, but I only paid $5 for them. So I guess I'd give them a 4 out of 5 stars. But there was absolutely nothing special about them. The vegetarian chorizo actually gave them a gritty taste but did not add any flavor.

I ordered a side of tortillas with a side of coconut bacon. The coconut bacon is what pushed the review from three stars down to two. It was ridiculous. A few dollars for less than 1/2 ounce of coconut flakes that were fried. The tortillas were good, but the salsa tastes like something from a can not a jar, but a can.

Service was definitely 2 out of 5 stars. I was sitting at the bar in a nearly empty restaurant with an empty drink glass.

When I walked out at 1830 the restaurant was getting packed, so I guess they have a following. But it did nothing for me.

Even on a Tuesday night it was full at 8:30, and with a reservation for two, sat at a communal table. My dining companion is a carnivore, and was relatively satisfied, but not converted. I enjoyed the tamale with the cashew crema. The Bowl Dos was very full of spinach and pineapple salsa, but could use more rice. The guacamole was a bit bland, but that seems to be the trend in SF. The tortilla chips were nicely house-fried. I'd prefer a tequila margarita with this kind of meal, but they serve sake drinks, wine and beer.

Just WOW. Amazing food that anyone would love. People at our table were so interesting and sweet, and our server was great as well. Not sure if they take reservations but I'd make one next time if they do. Can't wait to return here

Loud. Limon has several location around SF and in general they have good food. This location gets quite busy and due to concrete wall, ceiling and floor - you literally are screaming across the table to be heard. Given the prices a bit more ambience would be nice.

We went for lunch and the service was great. The sangria was really tasty too. The prices were SF prices so a bit expensive. I ended up with the paella which was not my first choice but they didn't have the fish to make the "macho" dish. It was good.

Really awesome food here it could be a bit pricey I would recommend eating family style since you get your values worth!

Definitely get the rotisserie!

On hot days request the second floor as you'll be surrounded by the AC!
